    Ed was the best rhythm guitarist of the 80`s, most people are too focused on his lead playing. Look at the song composition here!! WHO DOES THIS??? Freakin mind boggling!

      Exactly! I mean even if you dislike Sammy's singing, Ed's playing makes you stick around

      Your comment is 2yrs old but you are right on target with that. His ability to write a catchy rhythm arrangement is sadly so overlooked. We lost the modern day Mozart/Beethoven

      @@alexm5764 same goes for Dave’s singing… lol. Ed made the band tho

      @@bartib1151 Well yeah but I'm only saying that bc Sammy replaced Dave and a portion of the fan base didn't appreciate the change. I like both, I just think they wrote better songs during the Dave era but that wasn't really Sammy's fault. After x amount of albums it gets tough to keep writing material that's just as good as ur best work.

    Most underrated VH song. Unbelievable playing by Eddie.

      It’s called “bleed”, mate. A function of how they did the live recording then.

    Not sure if it's my end or not but, the sound is barely audible .

    Not really an isolated guitar track like some of the others on YT. Not a complaint though since this is one of my fave VH tracks. I can only imagine the reason the vocal track is removed (largely removed anyway; you can hear it plus an echo of it) is for aspiring singers?

      Yeah I know they aren't perfect but they still isolate the guitar pretty well so I thought it was worth sharing. The friend who gave them to me said the effect was from a broken/messed up aux jack and we both thought it was pretty neat.

      John Burgent do you think you could try and do that again but with all the other Van Halen songs? That would be pretty neat.

      The album itself was average in comparison to 1984 and it showed in album sales as well.
      This track however is epic, would've loved to hear DLR's take on it

      @@kane5000 Actually changed my mind, I love this album just as much as 1984. Ed's guitar and keyboard work is so amazing and Sammy's vocals really pushed the band to a new sound.
      Yeah too bad DLR couldn't get along with the rest of the band and vice versa.

      Unfortunately, because of how they recorded during the Van Hagar era only the original tapes can isolate better than this. They recorded differently for Roth songs which is why those sound better

    • @zach5500
      @zach5500 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@theos.3809 I think the Roth era isolated tracks we have actually are the masters tracks, or stems, that were released for guitar hero or something like that. They didn't do that with the Hagar stuff. I could be wrong though.
