The likes of wanwan jumps way to much for him to ever hit her, same for joy, lance, ling... He was and by was I mean like 2~3 years ago, was decent against the likes of harith and ruby.

Phoveus losing his shiled would basically cripple his sustain during team fights, making him a harder hero to use overall due to tje amount of damage he'll take due to CC effects.
Skill 1 bugged atm, the skill description states that he gets a shield that scales on his max HP if he hits an enemy in the first phase of the skill

The Devs literally created Phoveus to Punish Dash/Blink Heroes especially WanWan(?).
His passive is the only purpose of why He is existing.
Without it now, what is His purpose? Help Arlott Kill Securing(stealing)?
I know the Revamped Phoveus still looks strong and badass based on the video but,
I just want to know why they removed his only purpose, and that was To Counter Dash/Blink Heroes (it will probably soon be added or moonton forgor idk).

I have observed that Revamped Phoveus seems more Versatile and not so dependent on dash Heroes.
However, His 2nd Skill is just basically like Arlott's 1st Skill except the Stun is replaced with Airborne.
He is just a Generic Fighter at this point.
Moonton probably forgot to add the Passive that the ultimate can be Cast when Heroes Dash/Blink.
Considering that, this is still in Development and Things will subject to Change.
But i will never forget that passive that made Phoveus Unique.
well to be fair for the devs, they played with the adjustments on his ult for a few updates before deciding to scrap it.
but it does feel weird to have his main trait removed like that,,

The devs had ruined Phoveus by removing his sole purpose: to punish heroes with multiple dash skills. He would have been better if they keep his old ultimate and passive in his revamp.
Make all his skill scale with magic, bring back old passive, make ult have CD, and he good to go, make the new passive addition to his old passive to make him good on teamfight especially dashers,, they made him so bad, also remove the heal and bring back the mana

@@AlveousXD he can stay physical as long as there's no mana I guess to he can easily be countered my antique which makes him weaker compare to the current Phoveus tho useless on lesser dash enemy lineup, by making him have magic dmg again he can do pretty well even if it's no dash team or all dash team, but I really hope they bring back the old passive and make the ult have CD to counter balance it.

Previously phovious was to counter every dash/blink depended hero. Revamped phovious is now a hero which doesn't prioritises ememy lineup. If developers changes his passive so that it can be activated by teammates (like arlott, where cc effect applied by teammates activates his passive) then phovious will be a lot better.
It is the passive tho. I do love his other skills, since it has the ability to heal, has CC, and also his Ultimate that doesn't have any cooldown.
The only problem lies on his passive. It still needs someone to dash in order to get that CC passive rather than making it more to Nolan, in which he can have his passive where if he sees an enemy that dashes or makes them dash, he will gain it, but WITHOUT the cooldown.
Like you can have your passive when there's someone who blinks or got displaced, you can have your passive ready. The passive cooldown is what makes it not spammable when that is the only active passive needed to survive Early Game.

Just make his passive like the Old One, when he sees someone blinks, he will lower his skill's cooldown by 1 seconds especially his passive...
@@RTONL developers wanted to make phovious an hero who doesn't relies on enemies. So I think his his new skills are really good. Also his passive, your suggestion is good. Developers should make phovious's passive activate from his teammates displacement skills or enemy's dash/blinks. They can add a little cd between his each ult use. That will also be great..
@@sakif. Yeah... Or maybe add a little gimmick, like if an enemy was blinking or got displaced, it will reduces its cooldown by 1 second, like Moskov's passive but on Phoveus's passive cooldown. With this, he can activate it with his own skills' displacement in order to activate it.
I just don't like how his passive activates in freaking 15 seconds in Early like hell, how can he fight when he doesn't have his Ultimate ready, and when at Late, it will go down to 6 seconds, but it is still not good due to that CD limitations.
The problem with his passive is it still need someone to displace it, rather than making it ready, so I truly want to have his passive more to 10 to 5 seconds, or have 15 seconds, but when someone blinks or got displaced, it will reduced its cooldown by 2 seconds.
This way he can retaliate, if his skills are on cooldown, like pushing them away more easily.
They could have just change the current Phoveus's 2nd skill into the new one, make his ult little bit faster and make his 1st skill have displacement cc and boom, a GOOD REVAMP

Big upgrade. Although i wish the blink = activate ult is still here. It just needs to be shorter (detection radius) and can only be activated 2 times in 20-15 seconds based on level.

I don’t know if you ever played Phoveus before, but it’s skill issue honestly if you can’t use him good even without dash enemies.
The problem with shorter detection radius is that you can't jump to the enemy that has longer blink, like Claude, Fanny, or Ling, and being activated it only 2 times each blink and goes on cooldown can be a hassle since you really need to rely on CC in order to damage.
The current Ultimate have that ability to jump when you deal CC, so when you CC them with just your passive, you can follow up with your Ultimate in the same rate of your CC.
Like 2nd Skill + Ultimate Combo is really good since your Ultimate doesn't have any Cooldown. So I guess I kinda like it since you don't have to worry about having it ready on crucial moments, only to worry about your CC.
The only thing that makes him weaker is that he can no longer clear waves much faster and is heavily reliant on his passive.
His 2nd Skill is AoE, but doesn't deal enough damage, and his 1st skill is lacking some of its prowess unlike in the Old version where you can spam your 1st skill on the enemy while on the minion, since it rushes a wave and deals damage while gaining shield.
Now you are stuck on only one skill, in which it can't even clear waves faster and not so spammable, unlike before... Luckily, his 1st skill's damage is based on target's Max HP, so I guess he can still clear, but not the same as before.
Without enemy dash or displace activating ult it makes him very very very bad at chasing enemies than before, no more chasing escaping enemies like Benedetta and Selena

idk man, no shield + conversion from magic to phys means a single cuirass + dominance will obliterate him because dominance will also lessen his damage on top of antiheal. Also dont think his damage will be good at all. You will pretty much build him like Terizla but Terizla is just better because Terizla applies massive cc with his ult and has a constant powerful aoe slow.
rn you can build Phoveus like this:
Assassin emblem with pen, fest of blood and impure rage (mana management, better early game pressure, can swap it for lethal ignition if you wish or for brave smite)
Spell is vengeance because you are indeed going full damage.
Items are: Pen boots, Clock, Ice Queen, Necklace of Durance, Holy and Pen
Spare items: Lightning trunch and Blood wings, you can switch up the build with one of these if you wish. One thing to keep in mind is you can switch the boots for Bloodwings in the lategame
Note #1: I use clock because its been used in a "standard hybrid build", the one with oracle and dominance lol. I prefer Clock over Bloodwings because clock gives you 800 hp and 120 magic power as well as 5% extra magic power modifier like on holy crystal. Blood wings offer 90 magic power and although they have a shield, they lost hp they used to give. So, less magic power it is. Keep in mind that you can still use Blood wings over the Clock but im that og who likes to keep the tradition going. Also the lack of magic power for the benefit of slightly bigger shield and nice movement speed might bite you in the ass in some cases where your enemy survives. Also, more magic power = more shield from skills and more heal from spell vamp. Also your skills that give shield scale with hp that Clock provides so I would really recommend you to build Bloodwings instead of boots once you get to the lategame.
Note #2: I only use Ice wand because it provides spell vamp so my skill 1 is actually useful. On top of that, the Ice wand also provides other very nice bonuses. Concentrated energy isnt better, harder to achieve 4 stacks and especially, to maintain them.
Note #3: This build slaps with damage and turns Phoveus into a fucking vampire, his skill1 spellvamp is actually insane in lategame lmao. Try this build in classic.

I like the new look passive and ult but i dont like that it doesnt counter dashing heroes anymore which was his gimmick though sometimes not really well since it was slow enough to dodge it
Also the fact that allies displacement is not counted even though its stated that enemies need to be "forced" to move. Also i think the damage and heal based on percentage on his ult need to be toned down a little bit
feels like a nerf. He's now entering the slow fighters sections, and it feels easier to kite him around now due to shorter skill ranges (skill 2 and ult)

A simple reduction of casting delay of his ULT is enough for the OG Phoveus to be effective but NOOOO....
Moonton change all them skills to be NOT a counter pick for dash heroes.
As phoveus is one of my main here are my thoughts:
1. Physical damage gives him a strong early but weaker late especially since he deals physical damage that means he can be countered by wind
2. No mana that's actually really nice tho since right now his mana is quite annoying, you really need good mana management to play the current phoveus
3. The fact his role changed to countering non-dash heroes makes me sad as a phoveus main but he will be a more popular pick
4. I don't like the range of his ultimate it's so small
Overall I can't like I am not sure if he is strong or weak or op, I need to play him myself when his revamp arrives at original server

Agree on what you said. Well my take, on this new revamped phoveus is that he can now be a good roamer and sustain exp. Can disrupt multiple enemies, improved his wave clearing and no mana. Back then he was just a niche pick counter specifically for dash heroes. The problem is if the enemy draft does not have dash heroes. Although he is quite tanky still he is not often picked in the lower ranks. So hopefully this new revamped phoveus could work his way. I prefer the old style where he looks like a prisoner than this new style.
Wind doesn't counter much because his Passive is Magic Damage and his Ult deal 8-14% enemy Max Hp(14% is A LOT) which makes it could counter tanky heroes too.
Point 3 is the biggest change, I am not sure how he will fare against the current exp meta, given they took away his niche of being good against dashy heroes, given that with dashy heroes largely out of the meta there’s hardly a reason to pick him as he is only good against teams with 2-3 or more dashy heroes

Just add this to his ult: when enemy use blink or is displaced by other means., he gets 1 astaros charge and up to 4.. the next dash not displaced by phoveus skills will activate his ult using 2 charges

4. Slightly higher damage
Cons :
1. Punk looking ugly model lacking originality
2. No more Greek God looking intimidating Stare/stance
3. No more dash ult
4. Can be countered by Wind of nature
5. No shield generation
6. Magic damage > physical damage
7. Will miss the OG lore accurate Phoveus
Now He will die to a full item Wanwan before even reaching her. (also remember how annoying a full item Wanwan's mobility) 😑
The only good thing is that hes now playable as your typical ol' plain exp hero. But sadly he is not a unique hero anymore without those old ult than can trigger everytime enemy dashes.
The only worst is if you fighting diggie it won't be spam ult once you try to combo it

this update is good since phov isn't reliant on enemies or his teammates blinking/dashing or making the enemies move. However they removed what makes him a counter to dashing heroes and that he can't help in sets on team fights plus it enables the enemy hero who can dash to go mayhem first since his old passive affect can't trigger his ult. If they didn't remove it, it might be op however that passive shuts down those heroes in teamfights because once you dash and your low health say goodbye (i am also a phov main and also played against this hero before so i know that feeling)
Just buff the current. His specialty is to counter Dash skills which is unique and can counter A LOT of enemies.
Why does every heroes need to look handsome and pretty. I want the character to look horrifying and menancing.
This actually looks interesting, i wish they add the part where he gets a mark when people gets displace or dashes. Ive been playing midlane phovious lately kinda sucks im going back sideline.
How about add to his pasive: the distance of enemy’s dash skills are reduced to 50% when nearby.

nearby enemies who use dash skills will be slowed or silenced.
I like his new gimmick, all his abilities are connected by the passive leap attack and ult slam. However, I didn't like that they removed the old behavior of his ult, where he can slam continuously so long as the enemy dashes. It's kind of part of his identity to counter enemy that likes to dash.

its kind of a nerf because, we have one less hero to counter dash heroes, should still keep the enemy hero dash/fliker skill to activate his ulti, and also the self activated flameshot, but take out the allies displacement by skill or flameshot for ulti activation to balance out. i hope they adjust it before release.

They shouldn't have changed his model. We already have about a hundred heroes and skins on leggings, shoulder pads and abs showing. I personally really dislike this lack of visual clarity between models. Not only does he look like a generic male hero that you can mistake for any at a glance, he also looks like an existing heroes like Martis and Granger

I don't think you've watched the video completely. Phoveus can't use his ultimate against enemies that dash near him anymore.

I think first skill needs improvement, instead of making the pull effect 2nd cast, it should be like that way to begin with, but with a little bigger cooldown to balance it out a bit because the 2nd cast just make things more complicated and it's not really all good when you realize it is going to be quite easy to counter.
I'm good with that mark which can be use to heroes with no dashes but they need to keep that unli ult if there's a dash user enemy. In that case phovues will become balance.

Minus the ult change I like this, I use phoveus a fair bit but he needed the enemy team to have lots of dashes atleast now he can trigger his ult and passive on his own
He's no longer a counter for dash heros but he can be played as the first pick as well

I love how they actually made phoveus have more control unlike his current version (go crazy, spam ulti). He's now able to cleanly use his skills and you don't need to ONLY pick him on a dasher enemy lineup, he can now be picked almost against any lineup. I love this.
IMO He's also fairly balanced, his sustain is reduced by a ton by removing the shields, he turned into a physical fighter which makes him prone to antique cuirass and wind of nature. But as I said, he's WAYYY cleaner, smoother, and he's also a better pick now.

They should still consider the triggers from the dashes made by enemies, not just from his own source. Look at Arlott that considers almost everything as Crowd control.
He will probably work v well with penetration items with a side of cdR and oracle/ Def items
