- This is the first song that I chose to play for my father after my 35+ year layoff from the accordion. It was also the last song he heard me play before he passed. A video made in honor of my father.
Come visit me over at www.AccordionMemories.com for more fun posts!
You are wonderfull son. I can see it your eyes. Your dad was lucky to have a son like you.
Beautiful playing Jerry and the Roland is on my shopping list.
I saw your other vid about wireless playing.
Sorry about your dear father.
I do know what its like.
I lost mine when I was 10. He was electrocuted. Bang. Gone.
I am 72 now and can easily jerk the tears. He was also a brilliant musician.
Thats why God needed him more to form a heavenly band.
Forever play your music for it is in your soul.
Peter
My father is on my lips at least once a day, and forever in my heart. Thanks for posting!
No love is like the love of your parents. Your video is heart felt. And that you were able to play this song so beautifully after 35 years of absence from the accordion is nothing less than amazing.
Joe, thanks for the kind words. This version was not the one that I made after the 35 year absence, it was the remake in honor of that event. That first original version can be heard here, look at song #4: www.accordionmemories.com/public/
Very nice Jerry.....thanks for sharing your story about your dad.🎶🎼🪗🥰
Thanks so much
Thank you.
Thank-you for posting!!
Bravo! I play this song on the FR-8X also. I had never heard it before, just playing from the sheet music, now I know what it's suppose to sound like and need to slow it down quite a bit!!! Beautiful!!! Thank you for this lovey video!!!!
Absolutely beautiful. I just got the same instrument after more than 30 years but I wish I knew how make such a great arrangement. My best regards. Sorry for the loss of your father.
Lots of practice and a bit of help from the Roland BK-7m arranger for the percussion. Thanks so much for posting. :)
Beautifully presented
Thank-you very much!
Played from the heart. Lovely.
Very very beautiful!! 🙏!!
Thank-you so much!
Thank you for your own way of playing this song. Also thanks for the instruction-video how to play and set the FR8X Roland accordion.

Jerry, Bravo ! Bravo ! Excellent control of your instrument, your technique, your audio reproduction and your videography ! Certainly looks like you have an excellent handle on the new Roland ! It was a pleasure, both watching and listening to this !

Thank-you Ed, and though I do not post videos for the praise, to read your words coming from such an accomplished accordionist as yourself puts a big smile on my face!
Great job!
Very beautiful sir! Thank you!!
Well thank you!
Awesome Job bro

Class! Bravo!!!
Mooi
Thank-you!
Very beautiful! What are you using for your backing tracks? Thanks!
The Roland BK-7m. Thanks for posting!
Great! thanks for sharing. A question:, the rhythm you put in USB port?
Hi, thanks for commenting! I used the Roland BK-7m for the rhythms.
@@JerryPH Now BK-7m is discontinued, I suppose...It is not possible to get it
Actually if you are in the V-Accordion groups or Roland groups they still come up for sale fairly often. Not manufactured anymore does not mean not available! I found mine just by chance locally in a box for Sony Bluetooth stereo in a 2nd-hand store for quite a good price!
@@JerryPH any more question. . Because the FR 8X has a USB port you can put a back accompaniment, in this case, it would be unnecessary the BK-7m. What do you think about this?
Hi... to answer the question, I have to explain the reason for the USB port. The USB port of the accordion sends NO SOUNDS, but sends the MIDI control to define each chord. The USB sends the signal to the USB input on the BK-7x and the sound exits the BK-7m via it's analog sound outputs. Since there is no analog sound input on the 8X, the answer to your question is no, this is not possible. That said, a FR-4x does have an audio input, so if that is what you need, that is the model to go for.
Very beautiful sir!! Thank you!!
So nice of you to say, thank-you for your lovely comment!
