Agreed!! The first time I watched that video I immediately got up and made my husband watch it - not because he would necessarily like it, but to have a romantic moment hahaahaaaa
The Righteous Brothers had a big hit with "Unchained Melody" in 1965. Home Free did such a beautiful rendition of this classic song. They added an old school doo-wop feel to it. The video in prison is very fitting as this song was originally written for the 1955 prison film "Unchained". The film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or finishing his sentence and returning to his wife & family.
The dude with the pony tail is Austin Brown. Amazing singer. Bass is Tim Foust...has legit 5 octaves. Beat boxer, Adam Rupp is a champion. They have probably 200 music videos. All excellent. Try In the Blood or Brothers in Arms or Helplessly Hoping for serious. They have several funny videos. They don't take themselves really seriously. Just really nice, fun and good humans. And each video brings something new. Try Working For a Living for fun. Or...their version of 9 to 5 is funny and fire vocals. Adam Chance is baritone...he shines in Some Girls Do. Rob Lundquist is tenor and he's amazing in their cover of End of the Road.
Home Free is my go to for a'capella... All the fellas are amazing and they claim each cover..all upgrades..you never miss instruments with them..just a wall of music filling your heart and head... 🌿🌿🌿
Oooph. That melts me every time I hear them perform this. Such a unique version. Unique and beautiful. You feel the gritty emotions of longing, and loneliness in every note. Love Home Free and love this cover. Home Free have taken a cappella to a whole other level. Thanks for a great reaction.
If you haven’t heard their Country Fried Pop Medley yet, you should definitely check that out. They also have a great version of Love Train that’s a lot of fun.
The guy with pony tail…Austin Brown….he’s got some Amazing stuff on his channel….just plain KILLER…..”BRING HIM HOME” from ‘Les Miserables’….”his solo of “UNCHAINED MELODY”… &, a shocker … Austin & Rob ( the beard & glasses)… “TWO COUNTRY BOYS SING OPERA”…”NISUM DORMA”…aria from a Piccini opera…..be prepared 🙃❤️‼️🔥
Austin is the one with the ponytail he is absolutely amazing. When a Man Loves a Woman will blow your mind. He also does a solo version of this as well. This song comes from the movie Unchained in 1955. It is on TH-cam if you want to check it out. Love your reaction!
So beautiful. Great leads. Amazing backing vocals. Percussion perfection. I don't know what you've already seen, but I suggest The Driver, Listen to the Music and the most beautiful version of How Great Thou Art, ever.
Love this one. Home Free went back to the roots of the song. It was written for a movie Unchained about prison in 1955. Love the solos of Tim and Austin. Loved the black and white film and loved the typewriter.
A better word than "mouths" is "vocals". They do call themselves a Vocal Band. Anyway, especially good songs that people don't often suggest: "Children, Go Where I Send Thee" (with Kenny Rogers); "My Church"; and if you know the movie The Big Lebowski, "This Is How We Roll", which is an amazing movie parody video.
Like many songs, I love this one from Home Free. They just give it a twist that it will be a real Home Free song, but still respect the original. The whole thing is so amazing again. The leads, the background (doo-woop), the bass(Chance), the harmony, the emotion, the video where they bring back the "original" story, the black and white image, the shadow of Adam on the wall etc.
Paying homage to the 1955 movie "UNCHAINED "which is where this song comes from. And check out the origin and history of this classic song to hear some of the 1,500 version of this song. Also Austin ( tenor/ long hair has a solo rendition of the song. Good reaction.
You kept your promise and reacted to more Home Free, so you just earned yourself a new subscriber. Some Home Free suggestions… For pure 5 part a cappella harmony bliss: How Great Thou Art, Helplessly Hoping and Brothers In Arms For fun: Champagne Taste(On A Beer Budget), Hillbilly Bone, All About That Bass, and Brother For serious awesomeness: Folsom Prison Blues, Fishin’ In The Dark/Down In The Boondocks and Take Me Home, Country Roads For Home Free originals: Dive Bar Saints, Dreamer feat. Another homfredian gem. This song has belonged to Bobby Hatfield since 1965. I never thought anyone could dethrone him. But damn, they did it. It belongs to Home Free now. No dis to Bobby, though. It took 50 years for anyone to out sing him. The video is an homage to the original 1950s era prison movie, “Unchained,” from whence the song takes its name. Holy smoking rockets. Nobody sings like these men.
I didn’t know a cappella was a thing again until I found these guys on TH-cam during lockdown. All of them can sing, including their beatboxer. HF were putting videos out regularly during that ugly time in our lives, even though they live in different states. Watch “Quarantine” for a good chuckle.
Home Free and their harmonies!! Such powerful visuals and a remarkable version of the song ❤️ I know it hearkens back to the mid-century movie and they portray it spectacularly, but I do hate seeing our guys behind bars. 😕 However, they can definitely "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
They do not use auto-tune! They are just very gifted & talented singers. These guys have been together for such a long time that they are like a well oiled machine & sound effortless. They tour extensively & they sound the same live as their studio versions.
You wanna see the man with the ponytail shine? “When a Man Loves A
Woman.” by Home Free. It’ll make you cry it’s so good.

Great reaction! Thank you! Joined for more Home Free, my favorite group by a landslide! 😀

I remember sitting in my father's sh*t-brown Datsun listening to the Righteous Brothers original on the 8-track 😁 haha I'm so old

Other than my favorite cover of "Blue ain't your Color" this rendition of this song is my 2nd favorite by these fabulous guys.

Yet another masterpiece from the boys! "Save The World " is another good one!!

This is good but Bobby Hatfield did it best - IMO. 💕💜💕💜💕💜
Hope this doesn't make anyone mad but does anyone know if they use auto-tune? he does hit every single note precisely and kind of snaps to the notes.

@@dagmar.6954 very cool
I love their bell tones on this one. VoicePlay and John Pinto, Jr. do a fabulous job on this classic also: th-cam.com/video/eyoYk7dG1W4/w-d-xo.html
