OMG...I thought you were going to explode. Now that’s what I call a reaction! Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge on the Sing Off (Home Free won season 4 of the TV competition) and he was a big fan of the group.
The best singer in this great group is the one who is singing at the moment. I really appreciate Home Free's approach to cover songs. They respect the original and keep it intact, but add the Home Free magic spin. The even put the original artist and song name before their own in their titles. Chance leads in I Can't Outrun You and produced the beautiful, haunting video to go with it. It is a look at their solemn side, but he does so much more. Check it out.
You really need to wear headphones while listening to them you are missing every low note that Tim does you can not get the full experience without headphones
Well, you can get the experience of the low notes IF you have a subwoofer with your speaker set. Word of caution: turn the volume down on the subwoofer the first time you listen to them or you may lose the speaker.
@@davidwiger6024 Tim the bass will blow out your sub...... I've seen it done. He took down an entire sound board once. He can get so low whales can hear him half way across the world.
They all are talented ...each of them gets an opportunity to be featured in songs..to see their ranges you should watch "Mayday" and "In the Blood" to name a couple. In Mayday ..Chance sings a great bass part.
Rob is my favorite! [MUST be the ‘Beard Thang!’] Right when you thing he’s gonna play it safe, he hits you with them runs ...and THEN the growls! 🤩😎😍🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
Head phones dude. Only way to truly do justice to all the voices, takes it to another level. Depending on the song, they all can sing lead, besides great harmonies.
That's Chance in the back next to Adam, the beatboxer. He sings a lead with Rob, the guy with the beard, in Keith Urban's Blue Ain't Your Color. I've seen him sing lead in other songs too, Just can't think of them off the top. They're good at switching up lead singers, so that they all get a chance to be front man. Austin is the one you said you liked best at first, and Tim is the bass.
That was such a fun reaction, really enjoyed it. Love that you are reacting to Home Free. I would like to hear "Thinking out Loud/ Lets Get It on " and Ring of Fire with Avi Kaplan.
Loved your reaction! Definitely try Can't Outrun You, Take Me Home, Country Roads, and Yours for more of Chance (guy in the back right)... he's really amazing. Mayday shows off his range and for awesome beatboxing.
Adam Rupp is the main beatboxer while the others fill in. Rob Lunquist is the lead, Austin Brown is Rob's backup on this song. Tim Foust is the bass & Adam Chance is a baritone I believe. These are 5 very talented young men & you need to check out some of their over music. Adam Rupp's brother Chris is also one of the founding members of the group & recently left to peruse his solo career. They recently released a new CD & 10 of the songs are there own. It's called Dive Bar Saints!
You're making all the sense in the world..I do the same thing..I do the same picking apart when bands are involved too !! I too find it amazing !! It's nice to see you appreciate music..
Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman was a judge on the season of The Sing Off won by Home Free. No doubt he has seen this cover and enjoyed it. He clearly enjoyed Home Free's performances on the show, all of which are available on TH-cam of course.
You are the second reactor that didn't seem to be able to hear the high "ooo." It is there, just in the background. They laid multiple tracks on this, so some of them are singing multiple parts. When they sing live, sometimes they use a looper. Try listening with headphones on. Great reaction! This was my second time watching it. Lol!
The fellow you were talking about in the back is Adam Chance. They call him Chance. He sings baritone/bass, and has done quite a few leads in their songs.
The guy in the back in the hoodie is Adam Chance! In some songs he does get melody and gets his spotlight! in this song he just has background and adding more bass with it :)
The guy with the beard is Rob. I like Austin the most too. But Tim's bass is ridiculous!!! They're amazing. You would LOVE "Man of Constant Sorrow", "Mayday", and "Catch Me If You Can". They are the style that you seem to like. The guys literally have a song for EVERY feeling or emotion you want to hear!!!
The man in the back is multi-talented.....he is a beautiful baritone who can sub for bass when Tim sings a lead....and he can help with beat boxing....like the mouth harp sounds on Man of Constant Sorrows. Catch him on Folsom Prison Blues, Hillbilly Bone, and In the Blood.
Chance sings lead or they change/switch on lead. Yours, Some Girls Do, I Can't Outrun You, Think a Little Less, Dive Bar Saints, Castle on the Hill, the video version of Colder Weather, Woman Amen/Female, Auld Lang Syne, Heaven, Helplessly Hoping, Finally Free.... There are probably more. We just haven't run across them yet for you. LOL You want to hear Chance alone on lead one of the first 5 here should cover it. They are all good, of course. I like Some Girls Do followed by Dive Bar Saints the best.... Bouncy fun followed by great lyrics fun. Thanks! ^_^
The guy in the back is Chance he's the baritone, The other in back is Adam the beat boxed, Rob is lead in this song the high tenor on right is Austin and Tim on the left is the base. They take turns singing lead on different songs.
hahahahaha..... oh man... you're so funny.... I like your reaction... Homefree is Amazing Acapela singer group... again and again,,, Tim Foust is Joker in this song... nice bass singer...
They wanted to pay tribute, but not EXACTLY, so it could still be THEIRS -Use headphones to hear the harmo- nies, bboxing, bass..🔥🔥🔥 ▶They are ALL very tall, funny, lead singers, songwriters, arrangers, multi- instrumentalists* & take turns leading songs..Chance-short hair/beard is a bass, too(Tim's a beast-a little lower) ▶Example: Adam*/bboxer/tenor > bboxes a full concert & 10 min. solo -can play trumpet, guitar, bass, piano /keys, drums, etc ▶Chance leads in *Yours* & *Can't Outrun You* & directed vid..They're all crazy talented!💜
Chance --- they guy of "who is he or what does he do" (back right with hoodie).......... in this vid, he's the bass, both bass line and vocal bass! Other songs, he has lead ... a very warm baritone, a good bass as well as a fine tenor (a versatile guy!) Tim has the low baritone/bass solo as well as baritone and tenor harmonies. Dude, without headphones --- always a must because you miss so so much --- you are missing out big time. Rob (the beard) 1st Tenor, and Austin (your current take of who's the best in the group!) High Tenor --- you'll learn are very versatile guys too. But everyone shines, so not just one lead - cause they switch....... and harmony vocals are everywhere --------- LOL, Even Adam, the beatbox extraordinaire! Harmony pairings, blends -- or straight harmonies... This my friend, you'll learn.
There are two guys who can sing bass....the guy in the back is Adam Chance and he can sing almost anything. The one with the beard is a great all around singer.
I think they did an amazing job of keeping the integrity of the song while still being themselves and putting their own spin on it. I see another recommendation for their cover of Blue Ain't Your Color by Keith Urban, I highly recommend it as well because they put a tiny spin on the original and it's the only video that they choreograph. Their dance moves are a nod to the Temptations, even though it's a country song. Many good recommendations in the comments and I'm going to add that you should do a Home Free day of reacting to a few of theirs, they have a ton of videos and all of them are fantastic and it's a very diverse selection of music. I subscribed.
No one in Home Free has only one role. even the beatboxer also sings, and does harmony some times. Or sings lead if they are doing a song without drums. The guy with the hoodie, Adam Chance known as “Chance”, is the newest member of the group. He isn’t doing leads yet, but he will be. Shawn from Boyz to Men judged these guys in 2014, when they won the “Sing-Off” vocal competition on TV. Not sure that he has seen this video, but he knows what they can do.
I’ll just explain who everyone is and what they do. The guy with the long hair that sings really high is Austin brown he is their high tenor. The guy with the beard is rob lundquist he is their lead tenor. The guy you are asking about joined the band after chris Rupp left, his name is adam chance he is their baritone he is the lead singer in some songs he can also carry some bass lines and hit some low notes so he is very versatile. The other guy with long hair is Tim foust he is their bass although he can go lower than most basses that I know of it’s pretty insane to see and he can go as high as tenors lol he has a 5 octave vocal range. And last but not least the beatboxer is Adam Rupp don’t think I need to say anything about him he’s amazing
Adam Chance has a nice vocal range. Not as huge as Tim's but very nice. You can also hear him doing instrumental sounds like in "Man od constant sorrow" he did the Didgeridoo sound and in "Can't stop the feeling" he did the guitar sound. He also did lead on "I Can't Outrun You" and shared lead on many other songs. He covers base when Tim is singing in one of his higher registers. Chance is very talented and has a beautiful voice. A perfect fit to the group Home Free.
They all get a turn taking the lead - the guy in the hoodie is Chance…the most recent member. Check out “Some Girls Do”….first one i think of off the top of my head.
So, what you are hearing with a group like this can hardly be explained very easily. You are correct in that the guy in the back with the hoodie is there to help blend voicing across the spectrum. He carries a lot of Baritone. It allows the song to sound more full or full with components/ voices. The guy in the doorway in the back is their percussionist.....beat boxing is what he mostly does but at times he is also a 5th voice in the song. The other 3 need not be explained. The range of the individuals in this group are phenomenal to say the least. That Bass can hit the Tenor register equally. The bearded guy has barely touched the top of his register. Between him and the skinny Tenor, they move up and down in range crossing over each other all the time. The Bass and Baritone do this as well. So, trying to pick out an actual note from one person can be difficult because when you think you have it, you realize they just crossed each other....and all you can do is smile in awesomeness as this group entertains your ears and your soul!
If you want to hear the guy in the hoodie singing in a lead role check out one of their newest songs called cover me he sings the future roll throughout the entire video he's relatively new to Home Free he's replacing the founding member. But check out there other video Love Train which is an OJ cover and like I said cover me.
The hooded guy, Chance (baritone-bass) has been featured in limited solos in a few songs (Mayday, Auld Lang Syne). He moves into the bass role when Tim (really, deep bass) sings tenor parts. YES, tenor range! Listen to Mayday. Otherwise, you're correct. Mostly he harmonizes. Loren
This was one of the best reactions to this video I've seen! You were great! But you should use headphones or Bluetooth speaker to really pick up the bass and the harmony even better! You will be amazed at the difference it makes!
If you want to hear Adam Chance's voice in lead, then you should her HF's cover of Ed Sheerans Castle On The Hill or there original song, Dive bar Saints. If you want to hear Tim Foust bass voice, you should hear Champagne taste (on a beer budget) and there Blake Shelton cover of Hillbilliy bone. If you want to hear Austin Brown's high tenor, then Contry fried pop medley and their cover of Cam's Mayday is good. For their voice diversety, you can listen to their cover off Meghan Trainor's All About that Bass and Man off Constant Sorrow. For pure fun, then you should listen to their mashup - The Butts Remix Or better yet, listen to all there songs, they ar so good, and can make a cover song better then the original.
