i agree with you priya. it is not about singing in english sridhar. in fact we must be thank ful to ravikiran sir for making it understandable for everyone. but he doesnt talk in english fully.he also talks in tamil often. in your list of vidwans thats in their time the audiences were able to understand tamil. now the younger generations only know and understand english betterly. this is not to criticize anyone .this is my personal opinion.

TH-cam uploads are visited across by students from all corners of the world, both Tamils and non-Tamils! On a different note, the elders whom you have mentioned surely would have loved to talk multi-lingual, had they been in these times of internet uploads!

I think the main reason to speak in English is to help non-Tamil speaking people to benefit from this lecture.
