Your IS review a few years ago really helped me decide on getting my '22 IS500. These things are a blast to drive, plus flare by they the rear doors did wonders for the styling

Great review of a gorgeous sports luxury sedan! Crazy that all 2023 Toyota Corollas come standard with two rear USB-C ports but no rear charging ports on this 2023 Lexus IS 350 F Sport which is double the price of that Corolla!
Absolutely love the refresh styling on this car, I’m amazed Lexus could pull it off. But the same old 311 or so Horsepower is a letdown for this price point…time for a change, especially in the F Sport version.
I agree to some extent but I think I would have been hesitant to get it if they changed the engine, because my priority was reliability and I can't trust newer engines
@@Trevonbarkley the awd ain't worth it though if you're looking for solid performance. Because it's a 6 speed automatic transmission and that sucks the rwd has an 8 speed automatic transmission that's the one to go for but they're hard to find

How is the handling compared to the new S3? I bought a 2023 loaded S3 back in November and although the handling is good the steering is just above average and it doesn't get my adrenaline flowing like my SS did and even my GTI. How would you race the handling of this Lexus?
I think you will hate it if you’re coming from a German car. This car is designed to give you moderate fun with maximum reliability. Basically, this is the ultimate daily. Where as German cars are drivers cars. And I say that as a huge JDM/Toyota fan.

Expected fuel rating in the city is 16mpg n maybe 17 or 18 if you are driving optimally everyday. Also assuming you are not in sport and driving on eco or normal. In the highway you can get 30mpg with good driving. Range is a bit bad. Cuz when I bought the car with zero miles my range was 320 miles and it quickly went down to 250 and now 265 miles. Not sure why this is happening but yeah….. 😅
It changes it depending on the performance of how you drive the car. It will increase once your avg mpg increases over time. 320 is when the car is fresh new from 0 mi.

Road feel is extremely natural and weighted. There are no vibrations in the wheel. I will say, if comfort is more your thing, go with the ES350 with F-Sport Design package (not handling). I wouldn’t really get the AWD IS350. The RWD w/ 311hp slides great and is an awesome, reliable, sport sedan…main reason to get the car. If you get AWD, might as well go ES350 to get the better ride and more cabin space.
Anyone have any experience swapping Michelin Pilot 4S tires in to replace the Bridgestones? If so, has it improved traction, reduced sliding in corners?
Drove this car a week ago. It was better than the Q50, bmw, and the only thing I’d pick it apart is the 6sp, it would shift better. the V6 is PORT &DI, and I had this thing 85 in a 30 corner and the front end was grabbing. Don’t bother with paddles, grab some corner and have fun. This car is worth every penny and loved it!
I thought you said “heart pressure monitoring” 😂 I had to rewind and you said “tire pressure monitoring”. Maybe the 2033 model will have the vitals monitor.
When is car is this old, the least it could be reliable. It's not an accomplishment when you're using the same V6 from 2006. Good looking car though, but I don't see enough reason to trade in, nothing much is new. Let me know when they come up with an actual new car. Reliability and styling are the only reasons to buy this car at this point, beyond that the competition smokes it terribly.
Toyota, Honda and Lexus owners are a different breed of car buyer. They want the tried and proven reliability. Automakers constantly redesigning their cars and jamming more tech garbage into them is exactly why they aren’t reliable. If you want a comparable BMW I’m sure it’s more fun to drive than the IS350 but don’t count on it lasting much longer after the warranty expires.

Gas mileage on this car is terrible, ranging low as 11 to 15(of 17 if you are lucky). It is not because of driver as I have 2013 acura TL(base) that gives me 19. This is for city drive.

That’s where u are wrong it’s a big difference the Lexus is quicker then the Camry. It’s quicker then what Lexus says it will do 0-60 in 4.9 seconds couple of runs I did I got it to 5.2 seconds there is also a video of it doing 0-60 in 5.2 seconds too it’s a quick car but not a quick off the line car it’s really not meant for short races it’s more for highway pulls and passing power which is good i Barley tap the gas I’m already over 101 mph in a 70

@@naveenthemachine Camry is slower then the is350 I raced a Camry first off FWD wheel spin, is350 AWD Camry will do 0-60 in 6.5 to 7 seconds in real world Lexus is350 awd will do 0-60 in 5.2 seconds to 5.3 seconds with a intake 5.0 seconds to 4.9 seconds with the D3 tune I have 4.0 seconds to 4.2 seconds. Gears are more aggressive then the Camry, and I driven them both the Camry is dog shit compare to the is350

So I noticed that the 17 speaker Mark Levinson system was standard in previous years, so why don't the 2023 models come with it?
That's a good question and sadly it's extremely hard to find a used one with the mark levinson. It should be standard for a Lexus.
