Great unboxing. I’m also a android user and switched from the Galaxy S9 to the XR and I love the device. I thought I would have a problem switching to iOS but it does everything I did on my S9 with the exception of the full customization.
Christopher Niceley it has been a smith transition for me mall my apps I used on Android were transferred I’ve just fine. The screen is great and I enjoy watching videos on it.
I tried the XR in the store and the only time I saw a difference in the screen was when I'm really looking for it and when I held up the XS and my Note 8 beside it. It wasn't as sharp as those devices when looking at text but it looked great generally. I still do agree that Apple should've gave it a 1080p display but the way they do LCD displays have always been good so it wasn't a major surprise to me that the screen wasn't complete garbage.
These phones cost a lot of money, .as an ex apple user I find it laughable that you still can't have the same freedom as android allows. You should try android and not be brainwashed by apple
All the cons you stated I agree with. From the fast charger not included to the icon limitations. I came from years of using android to just recently iOS with the XR . I personally can’t really complain about the lack of key included items or being limited on pretty much everything. Because that’s Apple, and I knew what I was getting into. I love this device. iOS is so smooth and clean. I was so bored of android. Im not saying android is horrible or can’t compete with iOS. Just that nothing about the new android devices intrigued me. So I switched.
Alex Furter yes I know I can move the icons, but I was used to android which lets you take full control of where an icon is placed. For example If I want 3 icons on the bottom of my home screen and 2 on top,leaving a gap between them, android let’s me do that. I don’t care much for the feature but others seem to.

You had the similar things as me, i also had the IPhone 3gs too and i loved my old phone, i had to switch to an android is because i wanted to try a different but better phone, right now i'm using my Samsung Galaxy S7 and i love my phone, i'm planning on switching to the IPhone XR because i love the red color, plus most all of my friends use IPhone and one day i want to try what it's like to have a XR over my S7
COCO 2KOOL It was stated Apple was pushing developers away from the old jack and was only including an adapter for a “transition period” which is over. So, not surprising they stopped including it after a couple years. The intent was not just to move people to use dongles but to move away from the old port.
I own the XS Max, but including AirPods with it would’ve been a great “incentive” to move away from the wired EarPods and headphones in general. Not a big issue though, I’m still in love with this device lol
Hi! Just passing along knowledge. You can move the apps. You just press and hold on the app. All of them will be moveable once you do this. They will all shake and then you can either delete them or move them. Then you just drag the app and it’s moves the app!! You can make it so that settings is in there alone like you said you wanted in the video. Just letting you know👍👍👍

FYI you can move any app to anywhere you want including the bottom. Press and hold icons until they start moving around then drag them to where you want.
@@jperk323He's talking about how apps will always fill up the home screen from top left down, you can't just have a few apps placed anywhere in the grid, they will always line up to the left and to the top. If you like your homescreen filled with apps then this is a non-factor for you.
I’m surprised that some people still think that they will see pixels on XR, even though it has exactly the same resolution as any iPhone before it (in terms of pixel density (except X and plus models)). It even cost almost the same as iPhone 8. I’m glad that you pointed it out honestly in your video. I honestly didn’t get the whole controversy thing anyway. Year before XR, iPhone 8 came out with exactly same pixel density and almost the same price and nobody said anything. And if people wanted even sharper display, there was iPhone X. Just like this year there is XS (for the same price also). But with XR there’s suddenly some great controversy!?... I think it was mostly generated by certain TH-camrs, especially Unbox Therapy, who are always happy to bring some big controversy or some “something-gate” when it comes to Apple. People saw those videos and suddenly started to scream: “why should we pay this much money for display that’s not even 1080p!”. But where were those people the year before when iPhone 8 was released? Even JerryRigEverything was constantly mocking the display in his video, whereas he praised the iPhone 8 year before!?... It was exactly the same situation as this year!... I have an iPhone 6s Plus and I’m thinking of upgrading to the XR. When I went to the store I held the phone it was really thick on the sides and what’s funny is that when I held the red or the white I didn’t notice the thickness until I held the black one . I tried to find the pixels everyone was talking about but couldn’t find any. I don’t know what people are talking about the the iPhone xr is horrible and that the bezels are chunky. I didn’t even notice. The phone is amazing in all aspects except the fact that it’s a little chunky compared to other iPhones.

The phone is defiantly worth it. I think you will be happy with it, it has great battery life and its buttery smooth when using it. I love mine so far.
I’m actually happy with the screen. It’s actually not as bad as it looks on paper. LCD is better for my eyes anyway because I already get headaches very easily (got that from both of my parents) and the flicker from the oled gives me one. Plus I’m an Uber driver so I’m always looking in my phone.

The reason why apple ships it with the 5w power brick is because they focus on battery health, if you quick charge all the time, the battery will degrade much quicker
No 3D touch, aluminum build, slower modem, odd antenna placement, bigger to carry around. Dark mode is going to give the X longer battery life with all the bells and whistles. XR is a good phone, don't get me wrong. If you can grab an X for the same price though, do it

i think apple should include the fast charger honestly. However i saw that even though it supports it, it had problems with battery temperatures
They have upgraded the brick. It is still the same style bc they did not want to change the style but they did update the brick to make it faster.

Yes I know you can move the apps but you cannot put them off on their own on the screen, apple forces you to keep them in a set pattern as you can see in my video.

Haider 3D Touch is kind of useless though
