The funny part is you already can play the base versions of each game with VR, albeit a bit broken VR. Maybe not the original Half-Life 1, but Source. Poor, broken Source. But a full remake is 100% gonna happen. Gabe said it about Half-Life 1, and now we got Black Mesa. Not to mention that there is people remaking Opposing Force and Blue Shift with Black Mesa quality. I think even Decay.

I feel like Alyx's melee weapon shouldn't be a crowbar. The crowbar has been the signature weapon for Gordeon Freeman. Crowbars are usually used to open wooden crates pry nails & two objects together. This pretty much reflects Gordon's approach to enemies: loud & brutal violence Alyx isn't isnt as strong as Gordon, at least not without the HEV suit. I feel like her melee weapon should something unique & reflect her.

definitely needs fixing. i dont enjoy the campaign in its current state at all and am waiting on mods to make it more enjoyable. specifically proper two handed weapon mods etc. being able to actually pick up and use weapons enemies drop. so this is very worrying for me. best of luck to you for figuring it out, other wise fingers crossed valve addresses the issue themselves. also, thanks heaps to people like you for trying to improve the game/ add new features :-)
