I used to live in Victoria and actually graduated from a broadcast journalism program there. A lot of alumni of my program work at CHEK and it's super cool that they're supporting a small creator. That program was basically teaching people how to be a content creator and make minidocs before TH-cam was a thing, so I'm not surprised they'd be on board to support your content! Congrats and well it wasnt the real "red carpet" its putting me to tears to see your work grow and all of a sudden be on a tv channel....When I worked on the PanAm Games doing all 4 ceremonies shows (opening and closing of PanAm and ParaPanAm) it was aired on tv for a lot of the world...it never hit me until the day it was live and I was working in front of a live audience and having a team member's wife at her home text him when the commercials were cutting over the live show on tv. You have great achievement to never forget on your road of this career ❤🥂

Hello Downie, I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago when I had a couple of spare days in Scotland and was looking for for some travel inspiration on you tube. I remember thinking this guy is a natural on camera, so approachable and engaging, he really deserves a tv show! I ended up watching most of your videos in one hit and now can’t stop thinking I want to do more train travel. As the mother to a young son I also remember thinking if my son turns out anything like that I would be very proud, and I bet your mum is too. Well done, good to see such a combination of hard work and natural talent paying off.

Congrats and well it wasnt the real "red carpet" its putting me to tears to see your work grow and all of a sudden be on a tv channel....When I worked on the PanAm Games doing all 4 ceremonies shows (opening and closing of PanAm and ParaPanAm) it was aired on tv for a lot of the world...it never hit me until the day it was live and I was working in front of a live audience and having a team member's wife at her home text him when the commercials were cutting over the live show on tv. You have great achievement to never forget on your road of this career ❤🥂

Dude.. SO impressive. Such good work.. you appear as a natural host and I watched the entire Canada series and it was so fun. I am from Des Moines, IA and I want to see Canada someday and I found your content because of this found interest in riding the trains.. I have yet to take any trips but I plan to by the end of this year. (2022).

Hello Downie, I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago when I had a couple of spare days in Scotland and was looking for for some travel inspiration on you tube. I remember thinking this guy is a natural on camera, so approachable and engaging, he really deserves a tv show! I ended up watching most of your videos in one hit and now can’t stop thinking I want to do more train travel. As the mother to a young son I also remember thinking if my son turns out anything like that I would be very proud, and I bet your mum is too. Well done, good to see such a combination of hard work and natural talent paying off.
