South African kids start playing rugby in primary school; at the youngest levels we play across only half the field, and later on when older graduate to the full field, but in all cases in bare feet as no togs allowed in those age groups.
I was chosen for the WP craven week team when I was in grade 7, was the most fun I ever had

I played in Craven Week when I was 14yr I loved playing rugby but sadly I was not selected for pro rugby. Either way I enjoyed playing amateur and some touch rugby in my later years. Greatest sport ever.
If you travel in South Africa and you only eat fish and seafood, you should go to the Western Cape and to the West Coast. The best fish and seafood you can find ❤

Tx guys. What happens in south Africa is the boys start playing when they're very young. 8 or 9 years. So they're small small when they start. My son was 10 and in one season he got a cracked nose and a concussion 😂 we don't fuck around when it comes to rugby😂
Even younger than that. 6-7 they start with basics of touch, and not just at school, but club rugby, yes, club rugby for 6-7 year olds, 1st year of primary school.

Craven week --> University has the "Varsity Cup" which is the elite university level then --> Currie Cup level... which bleeds into senior Provincial team.. URC (euro provincial competition)
In 2015 SA had 300 players overseas whom never played any club or international games in or for SA that's more than 10 teams
We also have amateur club rugby in south africa... Normaly that's like playing for ur town or city club and it's also quite big
the beef you get in Southern Africa is not the same beef you get in the States. You'll be a full blown carnivore after a day in SA.
Lots of Americans don’t eat meat until they visit South Africa simply because our meat taste different .
