That GP Super Stearman really looks good against a blue sky! Either it ran out of fuel or he may have leaned it a little too much - got hot and quit. I am starting the assembly of this same plane - I purchased it back Oct of 2004! LOL! I will power it with a Saito 150 and cannot wait to see it against a blue sky. I like the Bubbly at the end of this video - I think I will just drink a cold beer! Cheers from Texas!
hi, i just got this same plane in a trade today. still unopened in box. might be a few months before i open it tho, as im currently in corpus christi texas and moving back to east tx in july
This engine was destroyed during breaking in. In that time i did not know that. Saito manual did only suggest few types of oils which i could not get them. So I chose the wrong oil... In that time i have no idea about oils. The choosen one had 89 degress centigrade flashpoint. And that made engine to overheat due to burning oil. Normaly flashpoint is around 250 or more for those engines.
Astraeus Titan that is true, and just having one is a blessing as it opens a door to conversation, not to mention all the little kids with the millions of questions.
@@keithlucas6260 This plane has now new saito. Previous one was destroyed by wrong type of oil. But i can see new engine has modifications since this engine has some design fails i guess.
Excellent ! looks beautiful ! Sounds amazing !
Toll wirklich nett diese Leute;-) und ein toller Flieger..nur weiter so
I like the simplicity of that trainer rc airplane.
Nice emergency landing!

How did it go with a 150? I'm getting one to refurb and was thinking Saito 150/180 or maybe Saito 182 Twin or Laser 180v or 200v twin. Thx!
@@ediflyer Hi Richard - I wish I could tell you ,but I have not touched the SS in yrs - just been preoccupied with other hobbies!
@@Rocknranchman Ah lol! Sell me the kit and engine and I'll sort it out for you! :)

Nice flight. Where did you get the spinner for this?
Awesome!
Grumman??? LOL!!
i like your 3 cylinder
Same plane, radial engine, and exhaust.
With this gasoline engine is a litlle bit underpowered but it is ok, more scale flight :)
