  • Some initial thoughts and test footage recorded on the DJI Osmo Action camera to see whether it can be a genuine vlogging camera.
Includes Osmo Action audio test in windy conditions, underwater footage and a test of what the audio is like immediately after its been in water. Hope it's useful!

Let me know if you have any other questions about the Osmo Action that I can help with!

Definitely a top little unit the Osmo Action Tom for sure. You test pics out of it look greta! Thanks for sharing the video on it. I've got the Hero 7 which will do me for now, as it does the job I need it to do.

Hey Adrian, yeah I wouldn't abandon the Hero 7! Really interested to see if GoPro can respond to this move by DJI with something amazing of their own or are they yesterday's news? Time will tell!

Thanks for this review Tom, I didn't realise you'd got one. I almost took the plunge but decided it was too similar to my Hero 5 (which I love) - I needed something stable and small to vlog with but without a gimbal (too big) looked very closely at the osmo pocket then discovered Reel Steady software which makes the gopro footage look very good indeed. If you still have a gopro as a second cam might be handy?

ReelSteady is a good find, hope they make it compatible with the DJI products! Like you I didn't like the Osmo Pocket, the fact you can't hear audio back in the field to check what you've recorded made it a no go.
