Land based fishing a small beach in Gippsland (with lures)

- In this video I ditch the boat and go land based to fish a small beach in Gippsland. I use soft plastics to flick along the edge and find the fish. Gippsland is such an awesome place and fishing with soft plastics in the area is a great way to catch fish there.

What rod reel and line are you using here?
Stradic FL 2500 on a 4-8lb Zodias 270ML. 10lb line.
Lincoln. That looks like a great rod, reel setup. On your advice some years ago I got a 1-3 kg Catana and 2500 Sedona reel which I’ve happily used for years, flicking for flathead land based in Melbourne. (I also have your fleecy hoodie which I use all the time😂). My rod and reel were stolen and I’m looking to replace them- perhaps with higher quality (?) equipment.
The only small gripe I had with the Catana was that I also have recently started using it with a small sinker and find it a bit ‘soft’ in the tip.
Would you recommend the equipment you used in this video for my new setup?
