- Hey guys!! I hope you are having an amazing Friday!! Today I am doing a little vlog style declutter starting with my skincare, haircare, and really all other beauty items besides makeup! Haha take a drink every-time I say mom.... Anyway, I hope you enjoy seeing my stash and what I am keeping! I will be doing a declutter for makeup soon so keep on the lookout! I just wanna say thank you for showing your body on camera. I think you looked amazing in your outfit. We have the same body type and it feels good to see a body type like mine online. You look so beautiful and I wouldn't mind seeing a makeup/outfit Tryon haul from you. ❤
Any unopened personal hygiene & grooming products (disposable razors, soaps, deodarants, face/body lotions, shampoo/conditioner, hair styling products) are very welcome in most homeless shelters & women's shelters even if they're samples. Women's shelters are really in need of tampons/sanitary pads.Also, if you've recently left an office job & have no need for an office appropriate wardrobe anymore, check to see if the women's shelters in your area do job placement & accept work appropriate clothing donations. It could really help someone just getting back on their feet to not have to buy new clothes for a job.

Nowhere in my city is taking anything because of covid. Even prior to covid they were very very picky with what they would take.
One tip for me liking bar soap was getting a loofa thats like a bag that holds the soap. Really bad description, but it makes the soap so sudsy which I enjoy! Also it's interesting cause I'm the complete opposite with face masks. I can't stand the mess of applying from a jar or tube, plus I can't wear my glasses with masks on so I can't do anything! However I can slap on a sheet mask, rub any excess into my neck or hands, and then put on my glasses and go!
I love this! Bar soap is so much more sustainable because there isn’t any plastic packaging
A soap sleeve! I was raised on bar soap only and that's what we used.
TJ Maxx and Marshall’s have those soap sleeves, and they are great! Whenever they’ve got them, I pick up extras to give to people.. lol! My son is super tidy, and uses mostly natural body stuff.., it was making a mess in my shower which drove us both crazy. They are a life saver! Lol
Also, real loofas actually come from a plant, so even less plastic and it's biodegradable!
The soap sleeve is also called a bubble bag. I have 2 and they are great! Helps you use it up faster also
The bar soap is excellent for cleaning brushes and sponges.
Long decluttering videos are perfect for putting on while I power clean!

I don’t really like using face masks, either. I forget about them and they’re a whole thing to open and put on and smooth out, nombre no. The only face mask I’ve used that I’ve noticed a difference is Lancôme’s hydro one. I got it as a free birthday gift for Ulta this year. I wouldn’t mind having one or two to use on a special occasion.
I went through the whole natural deodorant thing for like 2 years and finally the thing that works best for me is unscented aluminum deodorant in gel or roll on form. No irritation, washes off well, stops the stink. Dry Idea or Ban. Oh and putting aluminum deodorant on at night instead of morning works better for me.
Plantar fasciitis!!! Orthotic Inserts are 1000000% your best friend. Otherwise, Birkenstocks are the only footwear that works. Also whenever you shop for shoes/boots you have to make sure the insert fits. No amount of PT or medication made any difference without insets/birks. Best of luck because oooh it hurts.
Olaplex is so fantastic for dyed/damaged hair! The No.0 and No.1 in combination make a huge difference in my very damaged blue hair. Also ditching regular shampoo and only using cowash (except when washing out bleach) help keep the color in my hair.

Very supportive clogs like Danskos can be good too. The difference Birks made for me though... indescribable. Rolling my feet with tennis and golf balls has been the next best thing. Make sure you're stretching your feet too, otherwise you're never gonna heal it. God, PF sucks so much lol
Cowboy boots helped with my plantar fasciitis. My podiatrist said it's like a cast you can take off at the end of the day. I also switched my dress shoes to Danskos once I was out of the cowboy boots and I also have two pairs of Birks.
@@divatesteddivaapproved Danskos work for some people, which is awesome! I am so glad they work for you!!! I’ve never heard of cowboy boots helping! Wow! Until you find what works for you it’s super painful. I walked with a limp for more than a year until we figured it out. Every step was like walking on broken glass. And so much PT and pointless painkillers!!! Orthotics are my bestie!💙💙💙
@@sharonbaker3007 I have orthotics too. I use them in shoes that don’t have good arch support. I can’t wear the Dansko clogs, I have the loafers & the Mary Janes. I just couldn’t adjust to the feel of the slip of the clogs.

Yay! perfect for a Friday afternoon. Try leaving the cuticle oil on your desk so you can apply it when you eyes see it. Way more likely to remember to use it up.
Every time I watch a declutter I remember that I desperately need to do it as well, but I have felt so unmotivated lately 😓 I made my own Ulta/Sephora out of the haul closet and all my backups! I'm moving soon too so I think it's time to do a huge GIVEAWAY. I love seeing products get used too😊
Before you cut your hair short, can you please do a demo of how you style your hair? I've tried a lot of volumizing and texturizing products and can't get the beautiful texture you have. You've talked about it before but seeing the process would be very helpful.
So I started keeping one hand cream and a cuticle oil next to my bed so I remember to use it before bed at least a few nights a week!
I do the same ☺️ If it’s anywhere else it’s like it doesn’t even exist until I get all cozy and then f*** if I am getting out of bed lol
Yeah, it's a good tip to store some near bed and some near computer, so it would get a better chance to be actually used. Also, it might be convenient to have some stuff around where your keys usually go.
Bar soap always gets gross when it's too wet - if you have the same issue, the magnetic soap holders might be a good thought! I'm fine with bar soap as long as it stays relatively dry

I relate so much to your mindset and always wanting to be prepared and thinking about what if’s.
I finally started decluttering with a new rule: if I’m on the fence about something, and I start thinking “well I could use this if (insert scenario here, doesn’t even have to be super specific)”, then it has to go. Because ultimately, for the items I use all the time and really love, I don’t even need to think about a scenario because there are so many it’s just a quick yes (keep)!
It really helped get beyond the “does this bring me joy” question; it eliminated me tricking myself into thinking something brings me joy when it doesn’t. Like remembering who gave something to me and thinking it brings me joy when really I just don’t want to get rid of something cuz I’m worried that means I don’t like the person who gave it to me, or I’m being ungrateful or unappreciative of them and they’ll feel bad if they find out, when really I can both appreciate a gift that was given/the person who gave it to me, and it can still not “bring me joy”.
Hope that makes sense. Anyways, live your videos. I like seeing how you mentally process things and the way you’re always trying to grow. I find it so interesting and I relate to a lot of the ways you say you feel and think about things.

I've literally been doing the exact same thing (just in less quantities) also in preparation to move! I've been setting things aside for my husband's sister. It really puts things in perspective when you go through your collection

I feel the same way with sheet masks. They had their day. And I forced myself to use them because everyone else was. Now they are great for me to toss them in with a gift for someone else.
I love marshmallow pumpkin latte from bath and body works!!! Although i find it doesnt smell as good this year. In the years past it used to smell even better. Im not sure what they did to the scent but they should totally change it back to how it was
The “towel” method is so satisfying tho!😌😌 I don’t use my sheet masks either man…I HATE the way it feels!😣😂
I like them for when I have a headache. A cold straight out of the fridge sheet mask feels so good then. But I feel like they're a waste od money overall so I don't really buy them.
About a year ago I got rid of all my face masks because I realized I didn’t like them, I like the cream masks you put on, those i like 👍

I have been consciously using older things up, specifically lotions. I have a habit of buying new and going to try the new thing and leaving a half used product sitting in my bathroom, but I am making headway. I have a box ready to mail to my mother in law of some things I'm not using.
For the record, tanning mitts are like $5 so in the rare and unlikely occasion you need one, they're not a big investment. 😂

With the myro deodorant you have to keep twisting the lid til it clicks. You’ll probably feel like you’re gonna break it but the packaging is just poorly designed.. I had the same issue, it took me an entire week to figure out how to close it. The refills are the thing I hated the most though, none of the mechanisms of the refills I’ve had worked right

Yes sheet masks suck! I have so many of them and I truly have to FORCE myself to use them. I just checked my stash and two have expired so I’m going to throw those out and force myself to use another one night. It’s not that I don’t like the outcome, it’s just the feeling of it on my face. I just sit on my bed so rigid watching a video until I can take it off 😂

Hey, Lauren! You should check if you have high or low arches (flat feet). Go to a specialty running shoes store and they have a lil thing you step on and it reads your feet. A podiatrist could probably also tell you lol. Getting the right insert to suit my high arches (to make sure they didn't collapse and cause me crazy intense heel pain) and buying a pair of knockoff Birkenstocks was a game changer for me.
She is heavy. She should not be running. Ergo, buy *walking* shoes. They exist. They are cheaper than running shoes and are, surprise, actually for walking. Get walking shoes.

have you tried native or lumi deodorants??? those are the only two natural deodorants that actually work for me, and i’ve tried sooooo many.

Oofos sandals from Amazon saves my plantar fasciitis… I use them as house shoes. Walking barefoot in the house kept my plantar fasciitis from healing. Learn from my tough lesson- wear house shoes 😀
Check the Elemis foaming cleanser to make sure its good, mine got chunky. Why did glow recipe get rid of the regular avocado sleeping mask?

That cocokind oil to milk cleanser is lovely as a cleanser but didn’t work for me as a first cleanse product. So much leftover makeup.
I have to use spray deodorant or else my pores get clogged by the solid ones… and gross things happen. I love the Dove spray deodorants lol And I find some Nivea 0% aluminum ones in Marshall’s and adjacent stores sometimes. I hate the sheet face masks, but I love the ones where you apply with a spatula. I just don’t like something soaked and droopy on my face. I also just cut my hair short and I feel like a new person.

It’s the weird par-asocial dichotomy in where I know Wikipedia levels of info on a person, am considered and even feel like a fan, and sometimes even pay 💰 for the privilege in merch buys, dono’s, memberships etc. All normal after watching this person be themselves in their private environment @ 2-4 vids a week for years and years. It’s a lot consider the juxtaposition of a subscriber/ fan to Influencer/Creator.

I don't understand sheet masks. The goop is what helps. Why stick a slab of paper on it? 🤷♀️ It never touches your whole face, 75% of the product stays on the paper, and if you're trying to keep it "moist" on your face, just mist some water on it if it starts to dry down. The whole point of the sheet is obsolete to me 😆
