Not even a minute later the water turned black and I was screaming in my head wondering why I was so damn unlucky. After a bit I noticed that nothing was happening to me, but the Galleon behind me started firing, but they shouldn't have been in range of me yet. I turn around and laughed hysterically as the Kraken started to attack THEM. Of course I took the time to get out, get behind them and fill their ship with holes to appease my savior. The Kraken was well fed that day.

Nice escape! My brothers and I got attacked by the Kraken on the way back from a voyage trying to turn in our loot. It was terrifying, we never saw it before and our ship just stopped. She almost sunk us, and by brother even got eaten but we were able to fight it off. Such an exciting and terrifying moment.
Art Blaster we got attacked by the kraken for the first time after defeating a skeleton fort, we were about to turn it in, we thought we were gunna lose it all. We beat it and have fought it 3 more times since, lol
the reason so many people claim to have been on the galleon is because they want a reaction, or they have tried the same thing and the kraken showed up, its not uncommon for large ships like galleons to prey upon those who are weaker, they got what they deserved.
Man, watching you escape alone miraculously and the galleon fighting in the distance is so good. And I like how everyone's claiming they were the ones in that galleon. It's like one of those old time famous rumours that every drunk man in the tavern would swear happened to him.

That is exactly how I wish the Kraken to be like in SOT. If a ship is chasing another ship with treasure then they sink the ship they get a small roar basically telling them "hey that ones find but dont do stuff like that alot ok?" if they do it again a louder roar occures and small tentecals come and poke holes in your ship before going away basically saying: that guy had treasure and was probebly taking it to port, why did you ruin their game?" and if they do it a third time the Kraken fully appears this only will happen if the person they are chasing is a solo player becasue a multi-crew VS a solo player is completely unfair

this reminds of the time i was sailing with a friend he was part of a different crew and we were sailing together to take out a skeleton fort with his crew and mine anyways once we were started sailing back I mentioned that the water around us had turned pitch black his voice suddenly got scared as he looked at me and said we have to go now at this point I knew what was going on I told my crew to put down on the sails full speed we escaped but my friends crew wasn't so lucky I looked back to see him being devoured by the beast and canons firing as I turned around at a last ditch attempt to save his crew we did get all of them but sadly my friend was the only one I ....... didn't save I , I will never forget that day the Kraken struck

BTW, I've been playing for around 3 days, and on my second day I had to fight off the kraken by myself, so... Maybe I have a mixture of terrible luck and good luck.
Yesterday i chased someone after a raid and the kraken stopped them in their tracks, so i tried to steal the treasure and they came after me instead of worrying about the boat! We left empty handed because the kraken took the ship with it😔 great reactions from the other players though!🤣
The Kraken is a special AI, set to attack the larger crew ship for most cases. It doesn't keep it from attacking solo players as well, but scenes like this happen all the time with me too, when playing by myself or with one of my friends. Kraken is ya boi.
