Following on...Win 10 Problems - Just decided to download an earlier version of windows (pre 10) IDE and it works first time. It's given me more confidence. It's often a problem of older hardware compatibility problems with newer operating system versions. Just have to keep troubleshooting. Very satisfying when you get a result. Thanks again Kevin.
maybe its the ch340 driver? i think the maker uno has that serial chip instead of a genuine uno. you have to install the driver individually. also im 2 months late so bruh. but if you can tell me if you fixed it in the end i would want to know!
Loved your video instructions for the Maker Uno. I've just received a Maker Uno + (plus) from a UK company as planning to keep my brain active (76 years). I'm computer literate and was a power engineer in an earlier life so thought it would be fairly easy...how wrong I was. I've downloaded all the drivers and IDE and using Windows 10 using Com Port 3. The lights flash and end with a pleasing tune as if everything is OK. I've checked many times my code to the course notes for the first and second lesson many times so I know there are no mistakes. The board resets OK and power is fine (3V and 5V). The code compiles OK but when it comes to uploading there is an error - 'fails to upload' every time. I think there must be a compatibility error with windows 10 which I'm using. There is a very comprehensive 89 page tutorial downloaded 'Arduino Learning Guide For Beginners' The board I'm using is not as recommended which is not displayed but after searching am using board Arduino/Genuino 101 instead of ...Uno. Any ideas would be appreciated Kevin.
How very odd! The West supported Kickstarter in the East without knowing! But thankfully this Kickstarter turns out to be workable because the device is already in the market offering much lower price than that of 'original' Italian Arduino Uno. What I mean is most Kickstarters are bullshit and cons; they take big amount of money and then go silent. I supported few of them but I am the one getting poor and I was making them rich. Maker Uno's maker is Cytron, in Malaysia. A Malaysian company in Penang.

Thanks Kevin for the review! I am adding this to my watch list.
Thanks, Andrew! Let me know what you think about the Maker Uno!
