John man that kayak would be a great one to customize with different odds and ends. I think that kayak would be cool if it had a motor with foot steering like the one Alex has. That is if you like it enough to keep it a good while.
you should try fishing the Pisgah gorge, and bucks pocket state park, both are in north Alabama they are very beautiful and have a few species of fish.
I think Chris will enjoy the Pond Prowler. It’s a great one man boat in a lot of scenarios. The kayaks definitely are a must for shallow water or limited access areas, though. I keep looking at pedal drive kayaks, and may buy one down the road. I really enjoy watching the kayak footage you and NDYak angler post. Those tournaments on Chilhowee look super fun.
Your new traded Old Town looks like a great kayak for padding down a small river that around 8 to 12 miles long to try out new prototypes lures and feather jigs ( D2 jigs from Leland Lures ) I'm catching a mess on the the D2 jigs, and like always thanks for letting us come along your adventures.
Just bought a pair of Pelican kayaks to try fishing from. I'm watching to see how much to bring. Maybe I'll see you out on Watts Bar. Again, right down the hill from my place.
The wind probably helped the bite at least where you were at, I wish I knew you wanted to get rid of that prowler, I love how excited you get on any fish catch!👍🎣
I wouldnt even fish that wind in my center console. You did better than good. One thing about a paddle only kayak i have found is if you have an anchor system it really takes out a lot of frustration. Have you ever considered fishing lake burton down here in north east ga? It would be very much right up your alley. Deep cold clear and due to trout and blueback herring it has monster spots that have very little competition for food. Its a great lake up untill the summer folks start churnning it up in may.
I suck at catching crappie and pan fish this winter, but I caught my first trout on saturday. That's a beautiful day so I can't wait. When I caught my 16 inch rainbow, I had an 8-inch large amount of following swipe at my lure but missed and ducked into a culvert. And I couldn't get him out or to bite
Woo. The dinger getting done. I love those thongs. And thay come in so many good colors. I've started all the colors available to me...and like I said..they get it done. Cool video and nice trade
@1:21 I might have mention this before, but if you don't need that kayak I will happily take it off your hands. I will send you my shipping address...lol
I love getting out on the kayak but, you are right, the wind is your worst enemy. Awesome adventure Sir!
You got that right!

The wind couldn't ruin your maiden voyage. The fish were willing and hungry. Great February fishing trip. Blessings John

Good video you caught some good fish
Even with all the elements against you, you caught some nice ones 🐟🎣🐟🎣
It was worth the trade for the kayak just to catch that big Bass. You did Good.
That'd be a good kayak for down here 🚣♂️🎣
NRS boots are awesome- I have the boundary’s because I saw them on Blanchard’s channel- he swears by them

Nice video, John unexpected. Especially this time of year and quality bass to cold for me.

Dude, if you would throw nothing but that orange Yumdinger you would win the Bass Master Classic.

dude dont worry on the number of kayaks you own. 😉 if i had the opportunity and cash my yard would look like an f*in kayak trade show 😃😃
Spring coming up quick... Hey how 'bout them Cats?

Are there walleye in your local waters?
Yes some
I just bought the perception outlaw 11.5 and took it out today and same thing the wind worked me to death
What lake are you on?
Maiden voyage, big largemouth, making memories....
You redefined the “crotch shot”. 😂😂😂. Always great content and enjoy the videos. 🍀🎣🍿
I thought it was snowing in Tennessee.
What kind of life jacket is that?
old town
Are your gopros always on the charger or do you swap batteries?
depends, i like to try to run it on a charger if i can
@@CreekFishingAdventures you should do a kayak set up video. I'm curious to have your setup.
Should donate it to a crippled old guy who keeps getting frustrated trying to fish off the bank while being constantly in danger of falling in
So they can be a frustrated cripple old guy at risk of falling in water to deep to touch bottom??..
@@nicholasramey5763 I can't walk...I can swim just fine
