I do (mixing) practice like this!!! - This is what I like about your vids... Love the way you experiment with different ideas, and also provide some breakdown of it all.
Yo... you ever tried to start you loop a few beats and 1/2 late?
like, if you start your loop late, but also make sure it's exactly 8bars... then you get a teaser of vocals each time before it loops again... [probably not a great idea to have this looping too many times though!]

I noticed that you have your left 2 upfade channels on A and your right 2 upfade on B with a sharp crossfade curve. Is there a reason you don't have them set to "Thru" since you're not using the crossfader?

+Mike Novelli most of the time i like / prefer to use the up faders

+ellaskins That is my point. If you're not using the crossfader then putting the channels on thru will prevent you from accidentally cutting something out with the crossfader while still allowing you the same functionality in the vertical faders.

how energy level is figured out - high frequencies contained within tracks, tempo bpm, layers of instruments also a little bit of clap or snare on the back beat can effect energy level of the track also key as well this is all dj 101 that lots of ppl don't even know its all about how the music makes u feel and emotion like when I hear building that narrative structure and making a connection who cares about mixing big room all day u could have 10 of the biggest tracks and produce a crap set or have 8 unknown songs and 2 well known and have them in the perfect play order to create a feeling a mood. If u wanna bring the pace down quickly add a bit of a reverb on track 1 (high energy love comes again by tiesto) and bring in then bring in the intro of lower energy track 2 ( chciane salwater) the reverb will act as a little gel to gel the 2 tracks together to introduce a new mood johnathong is great in his vids listen to him and don't copy add ur own flavour innovate not immotate
