I’m much easier on myself about everything as I’ve gotten older ( I’m 60). I used to feel that a magazine ready house, working out every day, cooking from scratch and some how running a business was what I was supposed to be doing. Everyday. I literally ran myself into the ground in my 30s and 40s. Now, I just try to keep a relatively clean house, not a perfect house. I exercise most days, not every day. I’ve found that cooking from scratch isn’t always worth the payoff. I save it for Sunday meals. I still run a business, but I try to take off time to relax and think about nothing. I wish I was this kind to myself 20 years ago! Women need to look after ourselves as much as we do others!
I agree with you completely!! I have always expected so much out of myself and now that I’m 53 I’m finally realizing to give myself a break. I think we as women juggle a lot of things and we forget to be kind to ourselves. My mom would encourage me to be kind to myself and I’m finally understanding this. Thank you for your comment ❤️
Today's standards are just too high. We also do pj days in our family and dont plan every day with activities, for our child. No need to be doing something evey single day. :/ Everyone needs down time.
I agree that we need to be easier on ourselves, and it’s a pity we often don’t realise this until we’re older. I am 72 and I still like to have schedules to keep me motivated, but I don’t feel obliged to stick to them obsessively, as I did when I was young.
Progress, not perfection, has helped me enormously. This is true in every aspect of life, housekeeping, parenting and with our spouse . . . It's a journey . . . Learning all the way and enjoying the adventure.
I APPRECIATE YOU. AND THE WAY YOU SAY THING'S AND NO JUDGMENTAL ANYTHING EVERYBODY NEEDS YOUR AMAZING 👏HELP & HOPE THANK YOU FROM OUR ENTIRE FAMILY. YOUR A ROCKSTAR.
During these busy days, and my desire to seriously enjoy summer, I focus on a very few things daily: 1. Dishes done, kitchen cleaned and swept each night before bed 2. S&S the bathroom 3. A quick tidy in each room before bed 4. WHB- no decluttering, no zone cleaning, no deep cleaning . That only gets done on rainy summer days, or can wait until September when school starts again.
Flylady has a kids section. Young kids enrolled/trained in assisting in keeping the home and their lives organized is good self-esteem building. Make it a transition and fun. They can have a morning and evening routine and contribute and get how great it is to have tidy spaces.
I had to learn this at the beginning of the pandemic when life schedule changed. Let's face it there are sometimes in our lives when there really is not enough time to get it all done. She mentioned some of them...we have to battle plan and I agree wholeheartedly and there were times when I did not even get to my two places. I picked myself up and started over. Along with a clean house or those two spaces you have to think what is important to the family. Clean kitchen or health meal versus fast food? Sleep which is vital during stressful times or mop the floor? Sometimes I have to choose health over the two. But then I get back to the two when the dust settles a bit. Mine: bed and bathroom.
Thank you for this video! I was beating myself up this week and I have done just what you said, laundry, dishes, empty dishwasher, shining sink, making dinner, 2 min tidy, and that's more than I use to do before I found your channel. So I'm going to stop feeling crabby and get my paper and check off this so I can see that I am doing something and it's all good. Thanks for the pick me up on picking up! ;))
I love your message to new moms at the end! I'm so happy you are using your platform this way. So many need to hear this. As for myself, I've been struggling with long covid for the past 6 months. My core habits are the ones you mentioned and I try to do our hotspot (dining table), but there are days I can't get it done. And I'm learning that it is ok. Tomorrow is another day to wipe the counters. Progress over perfection 💪
I bought the laundry strips with your code! You’re right - these are great. No more giant plastic detergent bottle on top of the washing machine that hopefully is recycled. I have a front loading HE washing machine and these work. Thank you!
Along the lines of just having a baby, one of my biggest pieces of advice (and this is coming from someone who tries to be as zero waste as possible) is to get paper plates, and even plasticware, and allow people to bring you meals or get totally comfortable with having a couple of the same meals throughout the week to make life easier. A lot of times, especially if you have multiple children, it can be a lot for the dad to jump into the roll of cleaning up after meals or preparing them if he’s not already doing that. Pb&j everyday for lunch for a week, or frozen pizzas several times a week will not kill ya while you’re adjusting to a new member of the fam😉
That and also dads need to step up their games. Partnerships should be 50/50 especially when the mom has done so much as giving birth. The dad can step in as he is an adult. Let’s stop infantilising men and raise our standards.
@@roxanacucu3860 😆 my husband is the farthest thing from being infantilized. But he also leaves for work at 3 am to provide for our family and his practice in cooking meals like I love to do isn’t at the same level. My comment was basically saying to take it easy right after having babies.
Just paused the video at 1:25 and went and got dressed. I was sitting here in my pjs after brekky with my cuppa, apparently thinking just being out of bed was enough. But you're right, getting dressed is a game changer. I know now that i am going to do things. If i was still in my pjs, i could have gone back to bed, pretending i was gonna do stuff later (as i have for the last 3 days). I have been sick for a couple weeks and my back is playing up, but it feels good to be up and dressed! Thank you Steph!
One thing I did when I raise my kids the nite before I had everyone clothes set up with book bags with shoes and sox in shoes the nite before. And boy did that make a difference in the morning 😊❤️
Thanks for being so positive and cheerful an sharing your experiences! I agree with most of it! And not to forget putting that laundry load away after it’s dried. Making the bed first thing I don’t agree on, it needs to air for a couple of hours. I would add to NEVER leave anything out on the surfaces in the bathroom, make sure that ALL the family members put everything back in it’s place before they leave the bathroom. And now to the most important thing I want to say - when you have a new baby your house will have to be taken care of by the rest of the family!! Not become a total mess because you don’t do it!! God, we live in the 21th century, men are capable of doing household chores as well! AND the kids! ❤️
Thanks Steph! These are great tips for us working folks too - sometimes work projects are extra stressful or require extra hours, and having a slimmed-down set of routines for those days is a great way to keep from falling off the band wagon altogether. Loved the message for new moms! Again, it may also apply during other stressful situations in life (for example, transitioning an elderly parent into a care facility when that's the best choice - so stressful, more than one might think). Please take your time off for moving Steph! We can amuse ourselves here for a while. And whenever you're ready to share your new home with us, we'll be ready with applause and cheers! 😊🙏
I just want to take a moment and Thank You! I always find motivation by watching your videos and really appreciate your realistic view. I've really enjoyed watching your journey and definitely look forward to your videos!
Thank you so much for these simple core habits! My house has been cleaner & easier to keep. I didn't think it was a big deal but making the bed has been a game changer in my life. That small quick win sets me up for the day. I hope to get these easy core habits down so I can start zone cleaning soon. I did try but was a bit overwhelmed so went back to the daily tasks which help a ton! The only thing I added was a daily floor sweep because I have dogs that are shedding late in the season. Thank you so much for this channel. I finally feel like I can get a handle on my house! Have a blessed day!
I don't know why I get so excited when I find youtubers from BC, but I do! Also I found your channel after researching the Fly Lady, but something about the way you break things down has really helped me feel not only better about myself, but better about my home
I would LOVE to see a video on easing back into routines as a new mom! I’m 6 months postpartum, and catching up with everything that’s slipped is daunting.
EXCELLENT! Can’t imagine anyone giving thumbs down for this. Simple habits that make one feel in control and ready for the day. I am ready for that surprise visitor on any day. Thanks Steph for simplifying my life. Kathy
I do 90% of this!!! I actually do the dishes in the morning after unloading the dishwasher and the laundry. But I do another load if needed at dinner time. I do need to add in checking my schedule each night. My worst issue is feeling half my day is gone after I listen to my Bible and do my morning routine.
Ya Daily chores a pain Its nvrending... Cycle of events...but sonethng we cant wriggle out of... Everytme... Sticking to Prepping nd also not lettng thimgs pile up helps...keep stress at bay Nd we hvng control ovr things...
You could try to wake up earlier? I know, easier said than done. Your time with the Lord is most important though. " Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." Psalm 127:1
This is a very good video for times in life when things go bonkers. After four cross country moves back when my children were young, packing up all their toys first except for one plastic container for each, made it easier on me because I didn't have to do a toy power tidy with toys strewn throughout the house every day when I was so tired after packing.
I'm soo trying this tomorrow. I'm from South Africa and I'm exhausted 24/7 I work from 7am to 4:30 pm and then I cook and clean(don't own a dishwasher) 🤕
I saw a video (sorry don’t know how to locate now) of a woman who went through her kitchen and pretended to prep for a large family gathering keeping all she needed for preparation l....cooking pots and pans & utensils etc. Then kept 1 or 2 skillets with a spatula the rest she took out of her kitchen and stored in another area of home. THEN, assigned one complete place setting to each family member so had to be washed prior to each meal. It seemed a bit extreme but I kinda get it. And if no dishwasher ...might work well to maintain kitchen.
Look at buying a benchtop dishwasher.. there’s one that doesn’t need to be connected to the tap as it has a 5 litre water tank that you fill and then put the drain tube in the sink.
I really love that last tip! I’m having my 4th baby in November and I know I will get frustrated about not being able to keep up with my house, but I will have to remember that my only job is the take care of myself and the baby! This was a great video, thank you so much!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing! I agree that these habits are total gamechangers. I have 3 young kids and chronic pain, so I don’t always have the time/ability to go beyond these habits, but I’m able to stay on top of these most days and it makes all the difference.
I've just discovered your channel (and subscribed) and want to thank you for just diving into your subject with no fancy intro and ending with no fancy outro. You offer realistic tips and ideas that are easily modified for individual situations. Moving with small children is something I never had to do; I can only imagine. Best of luck and I'll offer a prayer. ~ Lisa
Omg this was perfect for me today, I'm getting myself out of a week long slump. And what a beautiful message for moms, yes, we all need to hear that! I'm pregnant myself and that was so comforting. You have a beautiful heart and I appreciate you ❤
Wonderful video, Steph! I haven't been doing well health wise since last November, and in March finally found out I have a chronic illness called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Throughout these months Fly Lady kind of flew the coop😆. But last month I was inspired to readjust and start again as I'm able. I made a new morning and evening routine, split up the Home Blessing into 1 task per day, adjusted the Daily Focus, and laid them out in order of importance. So each day my main focus are the morning and evening routines, then the home blessing chore, then daily focus, and finally zone cleaning. I haven't been able to zone clean so far, but have squeezed in a small task here or there. I keep a list of the things that are bugging me the most, and do them as I'm able. Some days I can't even do all of my am and pm routines, but I try to not get upset about it and just do what I'm able to. I also try to get up every hour and do something for 2-5 minutes when I'm really sick. That way something is still getting done and I go longer if I can. It feels SO good to have a plan in place! It's helping me a lot!
My husband was diagnosed with POTS last fall. He wears a FitBit and when his heart is racing, he sits down. He has adjusted some chores to do from a stool. His medication makes him constantly cold whereas before he was always hot. He wears a wool long sleeved undershirt and some times long Johns as well. He has learned which positions make his heart race and made changes. I hope you get a handle on your POTS and have a good physician. Good luck.
@@lindabourcet1349 thank you! Sorry your husband has this condition too. I'm not on medication so far, but I'm finding things that help manage the symptoms. My temperature is really crazy, I get super hot or super cold! I drink lots of water with electrolytes and salt, try to exercise, wear compression socks if I need to be up for a longer period of time, etc. But I do have to lie down so much, it's discouraging! I am also taking supplements from Plexus for 6 months to see if they help, as I heard other people with POTS found great relief! Seems to be helping so far!
This is a confinement month after a child birth. Over here in Singapore and also has this practice in Malaysia too. If can offer will engage a MAID for the whole month. Over here we address the Maid as Aunty. I was surprised that within two weeks she trained my little 2 weeks baby girl when to 💩 poo. She cooked special meals for the me, washed my clothes and baby laundry too. Take care of 👶🍼. I will get as much rest as possible. She is very kind, helped me cooked and mop and sweep my floors too.
I WANT TO SEND YOU GOOD VIBES, PRAYERS, THOUGHTS ANGEL'S YOU ARE A KIND SOUL THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE IF MORE PEOPLE HAD THEIR HEART IN THE RIGHT PLACE LIKE YOU..
I'm always looking for great tips for busy times and I was pleasently surprised to see that I already do this! I work different shifts during a month and without a doubt 'getting dressed' and getting the bed head tamed (thank you curly hair...) is so important at how productive I am in the mornings before evening shifts. Consequently the power tidy is most important when I work day shifts. I've been making my bed, when I get up and doing dishes in the evening for years, it keeps me sane and ready for the day ahead. The one thing I'm struggling with is 'prepping for tomorrow'. I am better at it but it's not a habit yet!
Hi Steph….between you and Diane in Denmark, my life has been transformed. I use a binder, such as Diane’s, for my base, but it’s your Weekly Cleaning Schedule that keeps me on track daily. I use the bottom right as my brain dump area. Thank you so much for your inspiration and guidance. You do an amazing job with your three adorable kids. Happy moving. It will be great!!🌸🌞🌼
It's Crazy but when I was younger with husband, kids, dogs, and career I had it All under control. Now that my husband and I are empty nesters I have lost some of those daily habits. This topic has inspired me to get back & add new daily routines. I'am only 56. LOL
Not crazy, when the kids are in the house you force yourself to do these things because the chaos of not doing them is overwhelming. When you are empty nesters you know you both can make due and survive a dirty dish or two. Enjoy this time.
I recently cleared up my sub list because it was too big. You were one of the moms I kept because you're so relatable and very sweet. You don't show us a perfect house and then see a crumb on the floor and post a video that is titled "all day clean up" I mean, if thats your thing...but most of us don't live like that and "fake" is such a turn off. Thanks for keeping it real and keeping me thinking before I put something off or cross it off my to-do list. Also...on a side note, the part at the end of "just had a baby" I wish someone told me this. I have 3 children and the day I got back from the hospital, with all 3, I was cleaning the kitchen, making meals, doing laundry etc etc etc. Thats good to hear and shows the golden heart you have. Bless you.
Thanks for those tips-I can relate to them! Fingers crossed for You to pack everything as quick as possible with as less hassle as possible. A smooth moving into the farm and cannot await for the new home tour:) Although, I think I will miss Your kitchen, and those marvelous tiles even more than you! Felt like home every time I've seen it. You made it look and feel so- congrats for that!:) I'm sure the new one will have an even more hearted vibe! Cheers from across the ocean!:)
Thanks Stefanie 💕 My baby is 3 months old, I had to stop breastfeeding and it's so very challenging. Things are all over the place and I'm pretty overwhelmed. Your videos really motivate me, thank you 💖
Love how you “give permission” not to be perfect and instead to focus on the most important things whether it be a move, a new baby, or other pressing life circumstance. As women we sometimes expect too much of ourselves. We will give others a break but not ourselves! Thanks for reminding us that it is OK!
Thank you for this wonderful reminder Steph! I have been doing these routines since moving into our new home and they truly have helped me feel at peace . We have doing many projects around the house to make it our own and fixing things and I kept finding myself feeling beat down about not doing zones or deeper cleaning but then I remind myself that as long as I go to bed with a somewhat tidy home and a shiny sink then I can feel ready for tomorrow ❤️ P.s I love your shirt! Looks beautiful on you 😍
Thanks Steph, super helpful! And thank you for mentioning having a baby in the end. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant with my first, so baby can come any minute now, and this really spoke to me! 👶
My favorite thing to do regarding laundry is to put the dirty in every night before I go to bed and set it on delay to finish right when I wake up. Then once I’m up, I switch it over to dry and/or hang dry. Then it’s dried before lunch (or breakfast depending on how early you get up). And, because I do a small(er) load every day, there isn’t much to fold and put away - definitely by lunchtime. It’s been a game changer for me!!
Doing folding cloths while watchng soaps..on tv useful...many small thngs can b done similarly... Being mentally prepared does gv one an upper hand at doing things at right tme...nd keeps us Cluttrfree nd stressfree
I do best if I fold as I collect washing off the line. I know I'm not the only one who naturally feels like folding clean baskets is a low priority. Once they come inside they're easy to sit somewhere and forget 🙈 I also rarely find a show I can sit and get into enough to stay still and fold. I'm up and looking for something else to do, not sitting and folding. I wish I could have the discipline to do it. I do use the timer to start the machine so it's all ready to peg out when I wake up so I'm part way there but can anyone convince me, kindly, that clean clothes folding is a priority when there's so much else to do? (I'm not leaving it forever btw, every week I do at least one big folding session. I just always conveniently forget to do it daily unless I fold it AS I take it off the line. This falls apart in winter)
At night I reset. The kitchen and living room are clean and decluttered. I do set out my purse and keys. I set out my outfit for the next day. I set up my coffee to be ready to go. Because in the morning, I gotta get going!
Thank you, so much, Steph! I really appreciate your encouraging “shiny kitchen“ in addition to shiny sink. I now wipe down my stove. It’s so much easier keeping it clean then doing it when I do zone cleaning. And I do a tidy up. You’re right, it makes a difference when I wake up in the morning and I’m ready to go. Very kind of you to make that last comment at the end. Have a good move, don’t stress out. Ask for help. It will all get done
This is the exact reminder I needed for today! We are crazy right now and getting down to the basics is going to keep us rolling without extra stress. 😊
As someone who just had a baby two months ago I needed to hear that last bit. I was killing myself to try and keep the house clean while also adjusting to a newborn with a 4 year old. I lowered my expectations- and that relieved a lot of stress on me. I totally agree about taking a month off. I focused on dishes because if not she wouldn’t have bottles and I needed clean breast pump supplies, healing up and soaking up all the precious moments with her. My husband was like who cares if the house isn’t spotless, he’s like we have kids, u just had a baby. Now that I’ve kinda gotten a routine I’m trying to incorporate my habits back in. But those first few weeks I was stressed because the house was a mess and I had no energy/motivation to clean it. Im totally guilty of hanging in my PJs until I have to leave the house.
Baby #5 is 5 months (almost 6) and I still am not 100% back into my routines. My core morning right now: 1 make my bed. 2 dressed to shoes 3 EAT Night: 1 quick power clean. 2 shine sink. 3(added this weekend) swish and swipe the bathroom. [That's on the morning routine. I moved it to the night because; I don't want to clean the bathroom in the morning]. I need to add prep food for next day. Why is it so hard to get time to eat enough? Lol We got this! Thanks for the video and congrats on the sale of your house!
I look so forward to seeing how you love the new home and how you start over with your zones, routines, e.t.c. would like to attempt to build a program out of your restart 😂currently splitting my time between two states/ homes so it might be awhile. Thank you for all you do! I love your positive, nonjudgmental attitude!
Progress not perfection game changer, when baby is here taking home off brilliant to heal our selves, hope the move goes smoothly and will be looking toward to the videos to come!
So right to reassure new mothers! I was chatting to one the other day and told her pretty much the same thing. So worried that she'll just get totally exhausted.
Thanks so much, Stephanie. You are a good friend to all of us and I am grateful for having watched this especially today. I believe I’m going to go back and watch from the beginning since I have too much stuff and too many to do’s to deal with. At this point, the thought of leaving the kitchen “clean” is a sad one for me because all I see is the “excess” and the hot spots…suggestions welcome…maybe take care of one small hotspot for 5 min a day? Make a list of what I find disturbing and spend 5 min in am 5 min pm to clear clutter? Make those two things part of my core ? I’m having a rough time and feel a bit discouraged-and overwhelmed but I’m going to do as you suggest. Pare it down…need to add self care, though…I think I’ll start making a list of one corner in the kitchen and work on a few feet of space til it’s “complete”- cleared of most excess…Thanks for “listening”…(thanks to you, too, who’ve read this… )
If you can do that, you will be amazed at the progress you make. At one time I pared my "routine" down to shower, clean coffee cup, clean clothes. And sometimes I couldn't manage the shower. I've worked my way up and you will too.
I've tried all of those habits. And yes they have made a big difference in my life. I don't stress like I used to. Ty. I try to get things ready for the next day. It's true be prepared leaves less stress.👍
Great video! I have been implementing these routines over the past year, a little at a time, and it has made our home SO much easier to manage! Thanks, Steph!
I know this is from a year ago, but I struggle keeping up with all of it. I think being a mom and taking care ofa household is a full-time job, but I also work 3 to 4 (14 hour) nursing shifts on a rotating basis. While I am finally getting better at accepting progress and letting go of perfection, my husband isn't as patient or supportive. Unfortunately, he wants a home that looks like Better Homes and Gardens and is very critical of me.
Thank you for reminding me to take time off when I will have a baby, I'm due in a month and I always feel like I need to be doing something after I deliver.
If someone ask if you need anything once the baby comes, tell them yes prepared food or help cleaning up(if they're family and would come anyways to see baby. Don't need all those extra germ😁) Have a safe delivery! 👶🏼❤
Thanks so much for that sideswipe of advice. Felt like u were talking to me. Having my 2nd child after 12 years and hav been feeling a bit worried about keeping up with everything. I juat needed to hear it. 👶
Steph! I just found you, subscribed pronto, and have binged your whole last 21 Day Challenge. And now, in this episode learned that you moved to a FARM! Spectacular! Do you do some gardening? I’m wondering how you also organize your gardening in tandem with home life and organization. A vid tying the two together will be invaluable!!! Advanced thanks. Meanwhile, I have more of your videos to catch up on. We are, literally at this moment, moving back to Canada from abroad, and the packers took 3 days just to pack everything - I intend to even more reduce on the other end and keep home and life as organized as I can, so we can relax and enjoy life with our loved ones!
Your videos are such an encouragement. It’s so easy to feel like we’re drowning in overwhelm sometimes when we have littles, but thanks so much for the reminder to just focus on a few core things. I needed that today! ❤️
I’m watching this again and writing it all down. I just recently hired cleaners to do a deep cleaning of my house on the main level mainly because I was running out of energy to do it myself and I have 3 kids (2 are special needs) I was burned out and decided to get help. My sister in law will be taking on the basement in the next week or so.
I know you moved, but I just found your channel. Just saying, your bedroom in this video is suprizingly similar to my bedroom. The paint, trim, head and food board, bedside lamps, simple white bedding, sparkly light fixture....I did a huge double take!!! Lol!
Question about the laundry strips! 1. Do they do well on heavy soiled clothes? Got 2 kids and a hard working husband. 2. Do they help eliminate bad odors or can they be paired with vinegar and baking soda without causing a problem? Would love to not deal with more clunky plastic jugs! Win win with the subscribe and save option! Loved your side note exception for new mamas! No one ever acknowledges that!
Great video! Wishing you a smooth move and a lifetime of happiness in your new home. I did the same and I must say the first months were not pretty and everything went wrong But it did get better and we are happier now. Just Buy organic bug spray and have it on you all the time 😵💫
Such a great video! Good luck with your move, Steph. Very wise advice to new mothers. I did not take the time I needed after the birth of either of my sons and I look back with some regret.
That is so funny because I'm going to having my baby on Saturday the 31th and I have been trying to learn more about the flylady system (I know I'm late) and that you would say something about having a baby cause I was getting on myself about starting this system but not wanting to so that way I don't fall off when I have her.
I use earth breeze, but I'm definitely interested in trying a different one. I used laundry sheets club for a while. A few people in my family have sensitive skin so it's hard to find a good fit for everyone.
Hugs 🤗 yes you need to change with time.
Wonderful advice!!!
I agree with you completely!! I have always expected so much out of myself and now that I’m 53 I’m finally realizing to give myself a break.
WHB…..? can’t figure that one out!

Ah yes! Thank you!
I recognised WHB instantly, thats what i write on my to do list!
Yes, making the bed is my favorite! It takes me less than 2 minutes and makes the room look 90% better, :)

I love when you say, and that's ok. It calms me down.
My daily habits. Morning - Put up dishes, swish & swipe, one load of laundry. Evening - wash dishes, clear hot spot, sweep high traffic areas
As a doula I am so happy to hear you let birthing people know that they need to take care of themselves

You could try to wake up earlier? I know, easier said than done. Your time with the Lord is most important though.
" Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." Psalm 127:1
Being on this system makes it easier for people to help you.
I'm from South Africa and
I'm exhausted 24/7
I work from 7am to 4:30 pm and then I cook and clean(don't own a dishwasher)
🤕
I saw a video (sorry don’t know how to locate now) of a woman who went through her kitchen and pretended to prep for a large family gathering keeping all she needed for preparation l....cooking pots and pans & utensils etc. Then kept 1 or 2 skillets with a spatula the rest she took out of her kitchen and stored in another area of home. THEN, assigned one complete place setting to each family member so had to be washed prior to each meal. It seemed a bit extreme but I kinda get it. And if no dishwasher ...might work well to maintain kitchen.
Fellow South African. I'm a shift worker. Not very productive but exhausted too. Also going to try this.
Good luck to you. It sounds like you’re doing your best with the cards you’ve been dealt.
Good luck.
@@irishlady5051 thank you😊
@@lindabourcet1349 thank you!
I WANT TO SEND YOU GOOD VIBES, PRAYERS, THOUGHTS ANGEL'S

Praying for you and your family during this move. 🙏🏻💝
You are such a kind and generous soul ❤️ God bless your beautiful heart and your family ❤️
Perfect! Our finished basement flooded last week. House is a disaster. I need this.
😥
Hi Steph….between you and Diane in Denmark, my life has been transformed. I use a binder, such as Diane’s, for my base, but it’s your Weekly Cleaning Schedule that keeps me on track daily. I use the bottom right as my brain dump area. Thank you so much for your inspiration and guidance. You do an amazing job with your three adorable kids. Happy moving. It will be great!!🌸🌞🌼
This is awesome! I’m sharing w my granddaughter who is moving to her own apt this weekend!
Definitely in a stressful time … hubs broke his leg a few weeks ago. Habits have made this time so much more manageable. Bless.
This was super helpful! Loved all the advice!
Tired, stressed out, and it's only Sunday. Thanks for the inspiration! Happy packing & moving, thinking of you.
Thanks Stefanie 💕
My baby is 3 months old, I had to stop breastfeeding and it's so very challenging.
Being mentally prepared does gv one an upper hand at doing things at right tme...nd keeps us
Cluttrfree nd stressfree
I do best if I fold as I collect washing off the line. I know I'm not the only one who naturally feels like folding clean baskets is a low priority. Once they come inside they're easy to sit somewhere and forget 🙈
I also rarely find a show I can sit and get into enough to stay still and fold.
Love your add on! Mother of three here too, and you are so right.
You are always so encouraging. Working on my daily habits, one at a time.
I really enjoy your channel. These core habits will be quite helpful. I say that your move will be light and easy.
This is the exact reminder I needed for today! We are crazy right now and getting down to the basics is going to keep us rolling without extra stress. 😊
This is such a wonderful explanation of the FlyLady basics. It's given me a fresh perspective .
2 dressed to shoes 3 EAT
Night: 1 quick power clean. 2 shine sink. 3(added this weekend) swish and swipe the bathroom. [That's on the morning routine. I moved it to the night because; I don't want to clean the bathroom in the morning].
I need to add prep food for next day. Why is it so hard to get time to eat enough? Lol
We got this!
I do quite a bit of your suggestions. I work days so bed made, getting dressed, prepping for tomorrow. I try to empty the sink
So right to reassure new mothers! I was chatting to one the other day and told her pretty much the same thing. So worried that she'll just get totally exhausted.
Love you and how you make everything look possible😌thank you
Thanks so much, Stephanie.
I LOVE the comment about having a baby!! Sooo true!
Thanks Steph. I hope the move is going well.
Thanks for your input, I urgently needed this as a recovering perfectionist 😁
Thank-you Steph ! Best wishes on your move. Great advice.
YOU are WONDERFUL!
Great video!!💕👍Always enjoy your very good advice! Thanks for helping so many of us!! TFS!! 🌴😎
Thank you for the lovely note! Welcome back to Canada!
@@TheSecretSlob thanks Steph! Merry Christmas to you and your family, in your new home and beloved space!
Your videos are such an encouragement. It’s so easy to feel like we’re drowning in overwhelm sometimes when we have littles, but thanks so much for the reminder to just focus on a few core things. I needed that today! ❤️
Bless you adding that in about having a new baby. 😍😍
Thanks for sharing. 💐
Great Video! I am great at doing laundry everyday! You motivated me to clean my garage with your other videos! Thank you
Did you sell your house yet?
Best of luck on your move. Can we get an empty house tour on the farm, and (later) a house tour once you're settled?
I’m watching this again and writing it all down. I just recently hired cleaners to do a deep cleaning of my house on the main level mainly because I was running out of energy to do it myself and I have 3 kids (2 are special needs) I was burned out and decided to get help. My sister in law will be taking on the basement in the next week or so.
I really appreciate your comment about having a new baby:) thank you
You’re the best!! I love your outlook and I enjoy your videos so much!
I’ve made a few of these adjustments since I’ve been watching your videos and they help so much.
Just Buy organic bug spray and have it on you all the time 😵💫
Moving to a farm, with small kids about did me in that first year. Worth it but this advice would have been so useful to help my sanity.
Such a great video! Good luck with your move, Steph.
Very wise advice to new mothers. I did not take the time I needed after the birth of either of my sons and I look back with some regret.
I needed this this week !
That’s a nice thing to remind new parents of!
Thank you for this. Great tips.
You & your videos motivate me so much. x
Ohhhh bless ya!!! 😍💖❤🙌
Thank you for sharing ❤💖 xx
That is so funny because I'm going to having my baby on Saturday the 31th and I have been trying to learn more about the flylady system (I know I'm late) and that you would say something about having a baby cause I was getting on myself about starting this system but not wanting to so that way I don't fall off when I have her.
I love your sweater, where is it from?? Also love the aside for postpartum mommas...everyone needs that reminder!
I use earth breeze, but I'm definitely interested in trying a different one. I used laundry sheets club for a while. A few people in my family have sensitive skin so it's hard to find a good fit for everyone.
