      Not an excuse. You lose your homework? I guess you'll just have to redo or take the missing grade. That's what I'd have my students do.

    The ink erases with heat, they're called frixion because the friction of rubbing = heat. This was especially apparent when my boyfriend left his very important work notes in the car and the pages were blank at the end of the day 😂. I put it in the freezer and all the words came back, it was kind of awesome.

    • @fruitprocessor
      @fruitprocessor 7 ปีที่แล้ว +46

      Same. I was writing exam review notes with those frixion pens and places a hot bowl of food on top of a stack of them and a ring of my notes disappeared through several pages. I was GUTTED. Then I looked online and put in the freezer and they came back. Long story short, don't write important things with these pens. Especially if you plan on handing these in to a person grading your work who may accidentally put something hot on top of your work!

    Those pens are erasable with heat regardless of whatever notebook you use. So long as you're writing with those pens in any notebook without any metal on it (so it's microwaveable) you can have the same experience. That or just use any old notebook and use a hair dryer to heat the ink and make it disappear. That being said, your markings are recoverable if you put them in the freezer.
    Bunny, you should put the notebook in the freezer after you've erased your used pages a few times to see if you recover your previous notes.

  • @MajikkaniHand
    @MajikkaniHand 7 ปีที่แล้ว +186

    How this works: those pens use an ink that reacts with heat--there are colors that react to acid, acids, and compounds the acid will bind with instead at higher temperature, basically, so when it heats up, the colors turn to a clear liquid instead of a colored liquid. When you rub with the eraser on the paper, you're heating up the paper right at the spot (with friction) so they change color. This is basically an attempt to do that all at once instead of going over it all with the eraser.
    Basically, it's the pens that are special, not the notebook, except presumably for a heat-resistant, non-metallic spiral or maybe heat-resistant pages.

      MajikkaniHand Someone else claimed that when they put it in the freezer the words "came back", but denaturation wouldn't reverse like that so... were they lying?

    • @MajikkaniHand
      @MajikkaniHand 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Crap, thought I swapped out the word denatured--had a brainless moment and couldn't come up with the right word so left it as a placeholder. No, they're not lying--it really does do that. I've fixed the language; thanks for pointing it out! (It's a reversible reaction--the details are readily available if you look. I recommend checking it out, because it's actually pretty clever and pretty cool!)

    • @Ally-kd6xl
      @Ally-kd6xl 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly what I was thinking, it's just these pens! Haha literally best pens ever. And yeah I've done the freezer thing and it's crazy but totally reversible! takes a long time though - much longer than the heating to erase

  • @HeraGEG
    @HeraGEG 7 ปีที่แล้ว +57

    Those pens erase using friction-aka heat. This is why the ink disappears in the microwave. One thing you must be careful of when using these pens (on any paper), they will erase if you leave the paper in any major heat source. This includes your car on a hot summer day. So be careful, and make sure and backup all pages onto a digital site before tossing the book into your car for a couple hours.

    These pens are Frixion. I'm in fashion school and we use them to write on toiles in modelism, because the ink disappears when we iron it. You can maybe try to iron it, not very hot to avoid damaging or burning your notebook, even not touching the paper, like 1cm over the page, cuz I think microwaving a notebook could be dangerous... I see many comments of others having a hard day who also come to these videos and have their day made even just a bit easier/happier because of Bunny! I have life limiting chronic illnesses and spend majority of my time in hospitals and no matter how hard of a day I have, if Bunny uploaded then there's gonna be a smile on my face by the end of the video. I also love this community it's so supportive as well! I'm sorry for anyone else who is having a bad day, but please remember HOPE hold on pain ends 💖🌼 bunny cares and supports you and so do I! sending positive supportive vibes to anyone else having a hard day! 💪🏻🐊

    *DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS!* but I *think* the reason you had to get "special" pens is because erasable pen ink disappears because friction which creates heat which could be another reason why the ink disappears after being used in the microwave. Also the reason you put water in the microwave is that the microwaves don't eliminate all the moisture in the paper or the water creates steam to add moisture to the paper to eliminate the chance of fire. Then again I'm guessing using the little knowledge I have.

    • @melissaheafield6034

      Ashanti Cannon T. I thought this. I saw somewhere that someone laminated some paper with frixion pens and it completely erased it

    • @meornotme1158
      @meornotme1158 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ashanti Cannon T. So, what I know is that those frixxion pens erase with heat (there were multiple problems at my old school, because the answers of exams just erased) and microwaves cause the water molecules to move, so with that friction your food becomes hot, I think that's why the water mug has to be there, because without water, nothing will be heated in the microwave :)

    • @kaylincondes5645
      @kaylincondes5645 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Those erasable pens will disappear with almost any heat at all, last year a dropped some water on my notes and decided to use a hair dryer to dry it before the ink started to run. I lost all of my notes, my point is your 100% right about the heat and also I'm slightly unimpressed with the whole microwave thing.

    I don't understand all these comments about the editing. I've been watching bunny for a very long time now and wouldn't have noticed she didn't edit this if she hadn't mentioned getting a editor in a previous video. I highly doubt anyone else would've noticed either. This seems exactly like any other bunny video but maybe with a bit more flare. The pop up things were cute and hardly took away from the video content. They were few and far in between anyways. Moral of the story is keep the editor Bunny! Especially if it's gonna make your life easier and less stressful!!

    • @tati.nightwing

      I totally agree, I missed the video where she said she got an editor, so I was assuming during this video that Bunny wanted to throw in some fancier editing. Her new editor's style really goes well with Bunny's personality, all the little pop ups were a nice new addition

    You don’t really need a microwave for that. People have written on ordinary notebooks with Frixion pens and then after they left the notebook inside a hot car for a couple of hours the writing has disappeared. The writing reappears if you stash the notebook in a freezer.

    • @lancelove9700
      @lancelove9700 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      it cant...where would it get ink to reassert the color and the volume of the ink...its not transfer paper or carbon in a suspension theres no available material or technology in that paper to make reassert ink....that would mean if you used the paper more than pnce and froze it or cooled it the paper would show up everything ever written on it...which would notmake it "google paper"...but anyway...theres no way it could do that...its just not possible to make that happen...it cant be that technologically advanced and that would be poor technology unless it stored it as memory and could specifically pull up what you wrote in a specific instance....may sound feasable...but isnt realistic...at all..

    • @maryannemoll
      @maryannemoll 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That's what I have been seeing on so many TH-cam videos, though. Many users of Frixion pens say that's what happened to them. You can look it up, and ask them how they made that happen.

    Microwaves work on water molecules making them move and produce heat. If there is no or not enough water in your food/notebook, you will get scorching and burning. Also, a microwave is a wave shape (duh, right), so that's why you need to move stuff around or use a turntable. Be careful with heating water in a microwave as it can become superheated. It will be at boiling point without bubbles and if you bump it or insert a spoon, the water can explode and hurt you.

    I live in Italy and my children's school requires erasable pens for elementary school. One day, my daughter put her notebook on the heater and it turned blank!! In a panic I looked it up online and it seems that erasable by friction ink "disappears" with heat. It's probably the heat of the friction that "erases" it to begin with. We put her notebook in the freezer overnight and all the ink came back.. Whew!!! Lesson learned. I have no idea HOW it worked.. but it did. What an exciting product with the app, scanning and categorizing, though!! Ciao, L

    The Frixion pens are apparently erased using heat or friction (clever) and apparently the ink reappears when it's cold or is put in the freezer. So I'm guessing that the wave symbol is made out of the same "stuff" that the Frixion ink is made of so you know when to stop roasting the notebook in the microwave.

      My Click Tip Yupp. Heat makes the ink go away. Cold makes it come back so if you put it in the freezer it comes back. If the pens seem to start run dry, but there is still ink in the cartridge, you just put them in the freezer for more than 15 min and they are as good as new.

    I had those pens in middle school and used them on regular paper and had the notebook in a bin in the garage where it was hot and it erased it on its own and it looked like this.

    • @dan339dan
      @dan339dan 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That proves it then. By rubbing, friction introduces heat, which removes the color. So it's not the notebook is special, but the ink works like that normally with any surface.

    • @MyClickTip
      @MyClickTip 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the notebook is special because it can go into the microwave... as it's said about the other product couldn't be put into microwave!

    • @dan339dan
      @dan339dan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't need to place it in microwaves. You can put it under the sun or on the scorching trash can like the poster did or just in any hot containment. I bet the ink wouldn't survive inside of a car in an open parking lot in summer.

    • @christiana-cs5ru
      @christiana-cs5ru 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, the point of my comment was that yes this microwave concept is cool but I definitely don't think it was necessary because I achieved the same thing by accident with a storage bin (not a trash can just to clear that up haha) and the sun. I still have the notebook because I can still read it in certain lighting.

    I've been using Frixion pens for a couple of years now, and I love them! To be honest, seeing the pens in the thumbnail made me click just as much as the title. lol And I was not disappointed. Great video as always! :)
    The idea of an erasable, reusable notebook is pretty cool. I especially like the idea of the app letting you set up multiple methods of storing your notes. Genius!
    However, after watching this video, I looked up the other notebook (Everlast) on Amazon as well as this one, and I have to say I like that concept better. For a klutz like me, wiping something with a damp cloth is much easier than microwaving a notebook with a mug of water on top of it. Here's how that would go for me:
    1. Clean the microwave or risk getting gunk on the notebook (ew).
    2. Fill the mug with water and take it to the microwave.
    3. Trip on something or bump the mug as I'm setting it on the notebook, spilling the water all over it and getting it soaking wet.
    Personally, I think I'll just stick to using Frixion pens on good old everyday paper. That in itself helps me reduce paper waste, so I'm good with that. :)

    The scanning part of this seems kinda useless cause yes although it may save a bit of time when sharing, but you can just as well manually take a picture through your camera of a normal sheet of paper with written stuff and share that. So i guess the real deal here is that you get to reuse paper a couple times before chucking it out. Which is cool too!

      I swear people purposely put mistakes like this in their videos to bump up their comment count

      She had a new editor edit this video (as well as others) instead of doing it herself since the editing software she used to use is outdated- it could be that the editor make that mistake with the picture and also not inserting her scans as well.

    Fun fact: eraser pens work because of the heat caused by friction... that means if you leave your class notes in the hot car after using an eraser pen your notes won't be there...
    Update: I will not leave comments until I've read other comments and watched the video...

    you can do that with any eraseable pen, it's the heat from the friction making the ink go away it's not erasing it. The book is a ripoff, you rock though lol put it in the freezer it will all come back. lol
