Nice video. Yours is a cherry rifle!I dig your channel; you have some of my favorite milsurps reviewed. I've got a pair of these, and like shooting them. I have had a head case separation ( after over 120 rounds with no problem) that blew Powder back at the face of the shooter with steel case 308 ammo through my Ishy. I only do 762 NATO now, and no 308 at all in this rifle. Head space is fine, but eye pro is extra important with milsurps. One of my two issues has a rack tag number on the stock. always thought that was cool milsurp points

I have one of these made in 1967 as well! Has issues feeding the last two rounds in the magazine. My grandfather's best friend was in the Indian Army and told me that someone probably had left it loaded for a while. Magazine spring needs to be re-tensioned or replaced.

Lovely rifle! I shot lots through the No.4 as a cadet, in the 1970's, .303", at targets out to 500 yards. Also a random No.5 which kicked like a goat. My dad used the same weapons in Burma, 1944-45, against Tojo's boys. You got yourself a subscription, cheers, Jerry from Portsmouth 🇬🇧

The #129 on the. Butt stock is the “rack #”. They stopped making them in 1974. I have a 1974.

JPatriot 12 smooth shooting as well. I thought it would have magazine feed issues and some say they have; but I have zero feed issues.

If you took the furniture off, I hope you removed the forend before you removed the butt stock. If you do it the other way around, you will damage the forend and cause it to split at the back.
