I want to buy this one but so many people are talking about the quality control issue which kind of scaring me. I also think that the pink model is meh~
Indonesian Ibanez guitars have a a lot of different small and big problems, QC is not great, but I haven't yet tried Premium (had just pre-premium models, just slightly cheaper). Interesting, whether they are made on the same Cort factory :) Also, have seen one video about this particular guitar that arrived in pretty crappy condition, so I'm interested what is the difference between all these Indo-made Ibzs :)
I can only suggest to buy them in a store where you can properly check guitar for some time and send back or even buy via an actual visit to the store :)
I saw that vid too and I had none of the issues that that guy did. I guess QC can be random at times.
@@digital360 Indeed, like all handmade (at least partly) things, guitars are kind of lottery :) Ordered 6 this year, returned 5 %)
@@digital360Most of the QC issues came on the first gen of the release. The more recent ones are a lot better QC-wise.

I am thinking about the RG premium or this for my first guitar in a while , i have been playing on some horrible Nylon to get back into , but the Bolted neck for 1500$ that's an ouch.
There are some amazing and wildly expensive guitars out there with bolted necks. Look at the fender custom shop strats for example. Neck joints have different pros and cons, but all different styles are valid.

@@enriquer.6933 yo yo. No I didn’t keep it and yes I would recommend only if you like thicker more rounded necks.
Did it stay in tune well with the tremelo bar usage despite no locking nut?
Yes it did actually. I attribute that to the well cut nut. The nut on my Charvel with the exact same bridge doesn’t fair as well unfortunately.

You talked about this guitar being in different colors in the future, can you link to where you've heard it? I'm saving for this guitar (I really love the inlay) but I don't like too much that color :(

To your personal preference, would you choose this over the Schecter Tao?
Personal preference is the Tao all day. Usually I prefer the hard tail bridge and lighter weight when I have a choice.
@@digital360 between schecter mv6 and ibanez tod10, which is better? i do play metal / rock, but i also do play blues and jazz sometimes
@@noprobliem23 Well neither is "better", but if you weigh the differences, I personally would go with the Schecter. However that being said, and while it is much cheaper, the Schecter doesnt have ss frets or a Gotoh bridge. What it does have that I like better is a slimmer neck profile and non-active pickups. The Fishmans can be tricky with low gain or clean tones according to some people. Don't let me sway you though. Try both and go with what feels and sounds better to you.
The reason it stays in tune is because it's outfitted with the Gotoh locking tuners so they 'lock' the tuning, stays in tune really well.
I have locking tuners on others guitars. Poorly (improperly) cut nuts will cause string bind. That is the most common contact point where the tuning issues generally arise.

@@digital360 small update. Heading out to a guitar store this weekend to try and maybe buy the TOD10 if i like it. Did you notice any QC issues or nah. A lot of people say its bad but on my gio i just noticed some issues after selectively looking. Should i wait out the TOD100(prestige made in japan model) or just go to the current version and use the money id save on archetype tim and a pedal(multi fx)
@shreyanbose6953 no issues at all. I’d get this one and. I wouldn’t bother with a much more expensive mij version if that even comes out in the future.
How does this compare to that DK24 Charvel you have?
Well this Ibanez is heavier and the neck is slightly thicker. The tuning is more stable on this as well. I think I just need to have the nut on the Charvel filed out better. I like this Ibanez overall but not a huge fan of the pups. It’s kind is six of one half a dozen of the other. All person preference.
Can this do super high rough gain metal type of music well?
No I wouldn’t get it for that. The pickups are more for that spanky polyphia style music as opposed to the super heavy stuff. Just my 2 cents.

@mihailwarsavski8849 Absolutely! Check out my recent Schecter vids. Sunset-6 and the Tao6 both do split coil tones you seek and also rip heads off with full humbucker mode and some high gain. 🤘🎸
This video is another example of you make make any guitar sound amazing , and you can make an amazing guitar sound like trash. Some of the worst tones ive heard , and this guitar sounds great .
