      Q:a person with HSP Highly sensitive person,autism or asperger can practice non duality?

    • @Sam_Gow
      @Sam_Gow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@xmindk Absolutely! Though I would add that the reactions of the body-mind can differ quite dramatically and if someone has certain psychological issues it is quite possible that they will be triggered. Therefore the guidance or even direct presence of a teacher / someone with experience can certainly be advisable.

    We get upset because our faces are looking older but our self awareness is staying the same. Brilliant once again Sam, the exercise was successful!

    Exploration through investigative experience…..such a great way to make the abstract more real. You’re in a small % of a very large spiritual pool taking this approach. As you know, I’m a fan.😬🙋🏻‍♂️

      I appreciate that! I love talking about the meaning of "this", but as you wrote, the experience of it is of actual importance. We actually have to drink the water of our Being to quench our thirst, merely thinking about it won't be enough.

    How to "allow this openness to recognize what it is essentially"? ps- Recently found your channel and absolutely love it. Thank you for the service. You are very clear and direct.

    Great exercise. Still one cannot deduct that awareness is independent of brain functioning. The brain is a powerful organ and awareness and perception intricately linked.

    • @johnnywlittle
      @johnnywlittle ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think he’s disputing that. I wonder what your take away is from an exercise such as this. My hunch is it’s missing the mark, but I could be wrong of course.

    • @joecheffo5942
      @joecheffo5942 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think there is some science as well. There are some people with most of their brain missing, in some I think almost all, and yet they function and perceive normally.
      Interestingly, what is a brain. If you say a 2 lb squishy grey thing, isnt that an interpretation of the “brain” itself? So what is the brain behind the brain?
      I think idealism or non-duality fits more with Ockhams razor. There are appearances, why take the extra step to call them “matter”?

    • @johnnywlittle
      @johnnywlittle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joecheffo5942 pretty much agree.
      I don’t dispute science, excpet for the ‘brain only/matter’ types who usually don’t get it.
      Science on the other hand is something I think the non-dual community dismisses to conveniently. Objective views and conceptualization has its place. This is much different from firsthand experience which in most cases has a focus of eliminating the need for living through ideas or concepts. This tends for seeing/experiencing things as they are, instead of what we think they are.

    I am aware of pure open boundary less awareness. It is open emptiness. I know it or I recognize it. I am struggling though with the idea that the 'real' solid world around me which I feel I am 'in' is a manifestation of my awareness. My awareness taking the shape of it? it feels as though open awareness is observing the solid world that exists through itself, my body mind being the vehicle through which it does this. Does this make sense or have I missed some fundamental understanding? Thank you for this video. I am always keen to hear your teachings. I find them very relevant to where I am.

      Yes, any thoughts on how awareness takes the shape of an object would be helpful.

      Also, how come eyesight affects how you see if you're just awareness?

    • @-a-l-t-
      @-a-l-t- ปีที่แล้ว

      "awareness" is knowledge. nothing more.
      "manifestation" is just concept. these are just word sounds. they don't mean shit.
      the entire fictional idea that there is a "you" is what deals in meanings.
      there is response to stimulus by process. that's it. that is all that is appearntly happening.
      any "meanings" "taught" or heard are only ever as real as the program believes it to be. there is absolutely ZERO "right" or "wrong" with anything. ❤️

      Great share Karen - thank you. Curious to see how it unfolds.
      I think I’m at a similar place/space.
      From my understanding and limited experience though, I think the difference is settling into the view of ‘I am the awareness’ - this being boundless - everything is therefore inside ‘it’ (me, whatever…words 🙄).
      Sam will say it better that I will.
      I think he’s also more deeply rooted in this experientially.
