Starforce was there for me when no one else was. Two years after the first playthrough, i was diagnosed with depression, and rediscovered this masterpiece while trying to drown it out in nostalgia. My parents and friends didnt exactly know how to handle things, and yet a ds card rpg from 2006 did. I learned a lot from this game. “Your true friends will always be there for you, no matter what” “your insecurities help make who you are” “theres always a light in the darkness sometimes you just have to look a little harder” Since then, this has been my favorite game of all time and that will never change. Ive beaten one and two but not three. Threes waiting for a special occasion. Maybe marriage, maybe retirement, hopefully for the moment i finally fix my mental state. The only thing I know about that game (safe for the form change mechanics) is that geo gets his dad back. Thats going to be a pretty emotional moment, lol. Fight on megaman, you have and always will be my hero.
3 is def gonna be worth the wait, i dont have quit the same connection to mmsf as you do but it was my introduction to my second favorite video game character and i have nostalgia for it, i wish this series would get a reboot or remake
Man, I got another friend in the Star Force rabbit hole today, and watching them play and absolutely love the game made me remember my first time playing it. For a start, Star Force 1 may be lukewarm around the edges but it did the groundwork for a fantastic trilogy. I can't see how anyone could possibly call this "just more Battle Network", the plot and characters were so much more than what BN had. Sure, we had Mamoru, Colonel and Iris, just for a few examples, but SF's cast all had their chances to shine and not just one character or another. Every single one in the main cast had proper development and joined together to wrap the series into a beautiful story about real troubles we as humans face. Except for Zack.
Best game ever, I mean the trilogy. awesome protagonist and characters, this is my number one favorite megaman ever! its sad that their wasn't an anime for Megaman: Starforce 3, should of been one. I loved it, Megaman will always be the Legendary hero in my heart.
I still come here eventually for remembering about the first summer after my parents split the relation, how much pressure I was feeling in my shoulders when trying to provide them the needed support. During those times, for disconnecting I just played this game, wishing to share just a part of that average student routine that Geo Stellar had during the social life simulation part. Good old times...
I have both megaman starforce pegasus and leo and i cried on the credits theme song Kudos to Capcom on making the Starfoce Franchise!!!! This DS game was the greatest!
It s been so long. I love this game and especially the music. I can clearly remember the first time i beat andromeda and finish the game this is one of the memories who never leave my head. (Sorry for my english^^)
Around the end 2:11 is why I like this credits theme the most out of the 3 games, so calm, emotional, makes me shed tears of joy as to how beautiful it sounds and I can’t help but just hum to it every time I listen to this.
I almost shed to tears with that beautiful credits transition from the cutscene. And overall this was a really solid game 8/10 can’t wait to see what 2 and 3 are gonna be like.
so nostalgic, I remembered when I had this game on my ds as a child and finished it, I went through my boxes where I kept my old things and found my ds again, I let it charge for a day and played it again, remembering all the good times I had while playing it, remembering how sonia was such a good character, and now I shed tears listening to this again hoping that I could play this game without any memory whatsoever, reliving the experience for the first time again
+Roguebunny I always like Starforce because of the effort put into the post game story. The post game story for BN 4-6 was just extremely disappointing for me. So redundant and lack of anything interesting besides getting to fight Bass. But yeah, BN combat was so hard lol.
Hmm, I guess I made a good decision when I just played through the end game of BN3. I reached 100% on my cartridge (White) with my bro's help. I do prefer BN's combat as a whole, though. It's more strategic. Just giving the player 3 panels to move across (and guarding) really limits what the designers can do, both with cards and enemies.
Well this brings back some fond memories. Been thinking of replaying these games sometime, they were really great. A good continuation of the beloved Battle Network series!
Great song. There was a time I heard a high pitched (1:19) frequency in this song that reminds my of my families nymph bird. Sadly I no longer... Hear it... Aging
I only watched Adam's lets play on it(the first mmsf), I actually got mmsf 2 a few weeks ago, it didn't seem that hard but it wasn't all easy, I'm looking forward to buying mmsf 3 black ace soon. in my opinion, ALL THREE Starforce games are great games, maybe not as good as the battle network, depending on which games you compare and on what, but regardless, they are ALL great games in my personal opinion, so if you haven't gotten them yet (even though it HAS been a year) i HIGHLY suggest them, though the first was, as should be expected, not as good as it's sequels, but the games do get better, not that the first game wasn't good (as previously stated) but it wasn't the best game ever
I think the first's the best, for the simple reason that it has a really mature storyline. A depressed boy who slowly starts opening up to everyone, develops non-removable bonds with people, to the point where those bonds saved him... and he saved them too.
All of the SF games are better than BN4-5 though I would at least put SF games in the same spot as BN6. BN1-3 including Operate Shooting Star are games no one should touch since they laid down the standards for what became of SF. For me, it is SF2=3 while 1 is 2nd since 2 and 3 brought back the old roots of BN1-3 that BN4-5 failed to deliver. That is only if you reached to the post game contents though I prefer SF2 slightly over 3 because of the alternate ending but since 3 as a whole stood out, it is in the same standing as 2. 1 started off great I am telling you though the post game content was still in the early works at the time only to rehash BN6's content for the secret boss depending on which version you play. BN4 will always be a black sheep while BN5 has a long way to go and at least these two versions will deserve a proper remake when the day comes.
I actually love BN5, I think it matches BN6 but both in different ways, BN5 better story while 6 has the better gameplay since it streamlined everything with the Cross system. I like SF2, but it's my least favorite SF game and 2nd-3rd least favorite game across BN-SF depending on how I feel about BN1 that day (some days I think "it's the first one" is argument enough to make up for its short comings, other days I don't) but BN4 will always be on the bottom of the list lmao
@@Ha-Tannin Ultimately BN6 is superior to BN5 in every way except for the Liberation Missions which was new but I just wish it wasn't really that repetitive to the point it would overshadow the classic tradition of boss stages that BN once housed. BN5's story is a repeat of 4 technically but if you played TC, then it is a lot better than TP since it leads to 6 by fleshing out Baryl and Colonel's character due to their ties to Wily. Even it filled plot holes like Lan meeting Dusk for the first time and even it connected to his apprentice Dark Scythe in 6. To be honest the majority chose BN6 above BN5 and it is not often that a minority would choose BN5 over BN6. Why BN5's story? I am curious since BN6 and SF1-3 brought back the old roots of BN1-3 while BN4-5 strayed from it. SF3 is superior story, gameplay, and post game content but SF2 remains on the top when it comes to post game content. I won't say about 1 except for the character development.
@@BugRiser14 I like BN5's story for 2 reasons. 1. It gives Lan a reason to be part of the overarching plot and 2. It acknowledges Lan's history of saving the world numerous times. It's also not a repeat of BN4's story because that story wasn't even a story. It was more of a rewrite, and it solved basically all the issues I had with it
Thanks for uploading all those! The only thing that i didn't like too much is the 10~15 second mute sound the soundtracks have at the end; i almost always think that the youtube player stopped playing, and when i come here to check, it changes the soundtrack to the next track; I suggest putting the notice that is currently at the end of each track throughly all the video and remove that deadly sound pause.
The reason he put that silent pause at the end is because he doesn't want people to download the video as an mp3 file, which is just a sad excuse imo. Everyone can just download the video as an mp3 file and remove the silent pause. But whatever, if he felt like it was necessary at the time, that's his choice.
*cont. from previous* but you won't be in Rogue Tribe form, so i highly suggest it, btw, you can use the wave command codes by going to the Omega-Xis screen and pressing select to input them, the Tribe ones only work until you turn the game off, if you turn it back on, you'll have to input the code again to use it, again, this is only for the Tribe codes, codes like for Megaman Rogue don't have to be re-inputted
