Unfortunately I have no idea why. In doing some research someone said it was the settings or where you live. But I couldn't find anything to back that up. Sorry, I wish I had an answer for you. Be Blessed, Audrey
@@Socialmedia4beginners did a bit of research and it has something to do with the setting for disabling location services on laptop of smartphone. If enabled, one cannot post anonymously.
Same, I'm not able to either, and I've tried my phone and my laptop (both Apple). I've seen plenty of other people in the FB groups I'm in use the anonymous option, yet I cannot. Frustrating.
That's so strange. You mean within a group that others are posting anonymously, you're not able to? Or, are they separate groups you're seeing people post anonymously in?
Great question. Are you the admin of the group you want to block the post in? I'd have to do some digging to get the answer to this but wanted to find out first.
Oh, I could see how that would get annoying. Unfortunately, the admins are the only ones that can block someone from posting anonymously or even be able to turn that feature on and off. I haven't found a way where you as a member can block someone but I'm sure in the future that may be a feature, especially if the anonymous posting gets out of hand. Be Blessed, Audrey
Do you need the facebook app to do this? I checked multiple groups and still dont see that option anywhere
Apple IPhone does not allow me to post anonymously
That must only be for desktop. No option on my phone to do it.
