The more embroidery videos, the better! That's the main reason I began watching your videos. And you do a wonderful job narrating them. I can't stand loud music on videos that makes it hard to hear the dialog, or someone who tries to be "cute". I just want the information presented in a professional way and you ROCK it!
Loud music bothers me on how to videos, so I hear ya there. I do see a lot of videos using music as a crutch when it should be more thoughtfully placed in portions of the piece.
Wonderful tips...thank you Jennifer; I too finally "do not walk away when embroidering," learned the hard way; my issues with the metallic thread is the tension; I have a small Brother unit SE245 only the top dial for top tension and the bobbin tension is a screw on the bobbin...very tricky and frustrating to say the least; however, what I have be able to embroider with the metallic is great makes designs pop! will have to check out your other videos, have a good day, Anita from Colorado!
Excellent tutorial! To the point, really useful instructions and you are good at putting them across. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your tutorials. The butterflies are beautiful and so intricate. Regards, Viv.
Thank you! I've watched a few of your videos recently about embroidery machines on my TV. Just wanted to come on and say this was very informative since I just bought some metallic thread to use on embroidery/quilting stitches on my regular sewing machine. Right now, I'm debating on the PE800 or the PE535! Thanks for your video on the Embrilliance Express video! I can use that when I get an embroidery machine
HI! Thanks for your videos! Do you set your tensions down? There is the tension setting which defaults to 4 and then there is the upper thread tension setting which on my machine defaults at -1! Any advice on setting these properly? I had less issues with metallic thread with the SE400. THANKS, Jennifer!
Hi, how are you? I would like to know if I can use metallic thread on my Brother PRS100 and what kind of needle and number too. Thank you for your advice I will appreciate your time. God bless you.
I hear ya! I'm totally the same way with maker videos - I could watch somebody make anything even if it's not something I'm personally into. Soap making, cookie decorating, woodworking, laser cutters, painting, bring it on!
We are embroidering with the Luminaire xp1 and trying to use glisten metallic thread. What a nightmare. Tried using thread sock and tried putting thread on another machine and bringing it over to this one. Lowest speed, metallic needle. No luck. Any suggestios?
It looks similar to the opalescent thread, which I did use metallic needles for. Still ran into some issues as it's a tricky one to work with. I'd avoid complicated or dense designs. ADD: I really do think the Thread Director 2 also helped, and slowing down the stitch speed.

So helpful! I just did 4 beanies (simple wording) in a row without one single breakage with some really tough metallic thread. Thanks!

What kind fo bobbin thread is used? Plyester or metallic thread?
Some website to find the lilac metallic thread? 😫😭
Cannot locate the Thread Director
There is something about watching it create an image that I have to stay and watch.

What speed do you recommend for the metallic thread? I have the same machine.
Slowest speed the machine has 350 stitches per minute
Thank you! I’ll have to try that as soon as I get home from work.

Is metallic similar to glamour thread? I’m using a glamour thread needles and having so many issues. 🤦🏻♀️
