পৃথিবীর যুগশ্রেষ্ঠ বেশ কিছু কাব্য ও সাহিত্য কর্মের জন্য কাব্য তথা সাহিত্যের ভাষা হিসাবে সমস্ত পৃথিবীতে ফার্সি ভাষা সমাদৃত । ফার্সি সাহিত্যে একটি প্রবাদ আছে- ‘সাতজন কবির সাহিত্যকর্ম রেখে যদি বাকি সাহিত্য দুনিয়া থেকে মুছে ফেলা হয়, তবু ফার্সি সাহিত্য টিকে থাকবে। এই সাতজন কবির অন্যতম শেখ সাদি। ফার্সি গদ্যের জনক মহাকবি শেখ সাদি ছিলেন মধ্যযুগের শ্রেষ্ঠ কবি তার লেখার মান এবং সামাজিক ও নৈতিক চিন্তার গভীরতার জন্য তাকে কদর করা হয়। ধ্রুপদি সাহিত্যের ক্ষেত্রে সাদিকে একজন উচু মানের কবি ধরা হয়। মহাকবি শেখ সাদি প্রথম দিকে কিশোরদের জন্য উপদেশমূলক গল্প ও কবিতা লিখতেন। এছাড়াও তার লেখায় যথেষ্ট পরিমাণে পবিত্র কোরআন, হাদিসের উদ্ধৃতি লক্ষ করার মতো। শেখ সাদির লেখা জনপ্রিয় ‘কশিদা’

Sheikh Sadi is one of these seven poets.
The great poet Sheikh Saadi, the father of Persian prose, was the greatest poet of the Middle Ages, appreciated for the quality of his writing and the depth of social and moral thought. Sadi is considered a poet of high caliber in classical literature. The epic poet Sheikh Saadi used to write didactic stories and poems for teenagers early on. It is also worth noting that his writings contain a considerable amount of quotations from the Holy Qur'an and Hadith. Popular 'Kashida' (Arabic Poem) written by Sheikh Sadi -
