I remember getting the Droid RAZR M as my first smartphone back in 2014 when I was in 7th grade. Absolutely changed my life

I still have mine and the original box. I pull it out now and again and remember how amazing it was at the time. I would still love to have a tactile keyboard.

I'll never forget walking into a Verizon store, and seeing this one on the salesman's desk, I told my mom THATS the one I want. only thing i regretted was the $90 dollar phone bill since i didn't want the cheapie flip phone

I had a Droid X when my friends and coworkers had iPhone 4. I didn't know anyone else that has one and it was a brick that did and had nothing compared to the iPhone. It was a huge mistake and kept me away from Android for a while as I concerned that all Android would be Droid.

I remember when the Droid Razr released and my cousin had it he was always the kid with the cool phone at school not even iPhone 4s users could compete. I was instantly inspired to get a Droid. Then the following year in 2012 and i finally saved up enough money to buy my own. My first Droid was the Droid Razr Maxx HD and it was an absolute powerhouse. While most kids at school were boasting about their new iPhone 5, they all had no idea i had the better phone. They only other phone i could remember that rivaled the Razr Maxx HD was the Samsung Galaxy S3, except mine had a bigger battery. I couldn't care for any other phone though because mine did everything i needed it to do and more. Fully customizable stock android OS, with a huge battery and hdmi port capable. I couldn't ask for anything more. I miss those days of owning a Droid. My last Droid was the final one, the Droid Turbo 2 and even that one was great. Sad to see the brand end.

I was so happy after months of begging to hear the “droid” sound underneath the Christmas tree. I of course pretended not to hear it! Original droid was the best phone I’ve owned. A brick that’s screen seemed indestructible. An upgrade using todays tech but the same design would be amazing!

I would be able to text without looking, use the touch screen, and like a cat it always seemed to land perfectly so you never needed to worry about screen cracks! Water was its only enemy 😢

Had a Droid X ....Ahhhhh the good ol days of real smartphone innovation. The competition was actually real. Motorola made great phones for the most part.

I was an iPhone 3GS user back then, and this was the phone that I honestly loved out of all the androids. Not google and Samsung, the Motorola DROID was in my eyes, the best of the best. My friend had one and it was just incredibly cool. I still use iPhones even to this day, but I will admit that I wish the Droid was still around. It really was the phone to beat the iPhone back in its heyday and it deserved to live on. Heck, I would have preferred the return of the droid over the razor.

I had the droid razr good phone until it hit the 1 and a half year point after that I had nothing but problems with it to the point I didn’t even finish the 2 year cycle I only had a couple of months left to go at that time Verizon didn’t allow you to upgrade to a new phone early like they do now so I ended up paying full price for the next phone that’s how bad the droid got towards the end.

The IPhone was never good. Droid always out performed and out numbered the the IPhone when it came to new features. IPhone only real reason why its sold more and stayed popular, was to the many celebrities branding regardless of the cheapness of quality.
