Let's spread the word and boost this channel in 2025! - he's everything peak you tube used to be, a genuine guy just happy to share his passion. No screaming reactions, drama or hidden sponsorships. He knows what he's on about because he lives it every day! Look how long he's been doing this for us! We've watched him grow, get a dog, move home, get engaged - all the while he's been putting in the work behind the scenes. I for one watch this channel like I used to watch 'proper' tv - I save the watch so i can enjoy in bed or often cast to the big screen. It must be so much work and I for one thank you and wish the channel, but more importantly you and your fiancee a healthy and happy 2025! All the work is appreciated Nick! 👍
Oh, and to answer your question - I think I'm looking forward to seeing your retrospective on those 12 games. Be good if you could give the heads up of each game the month before so we can all play along ourselves before seeing your views. Might keep my gaming a bit more focused this year!
I found your channel a few years ago and started watching a lot of your previous videos. I was hooked. I love your knowledge of retro games and how you educate people on certain systems, games, and important people in the industry. You deserve a lot more subscribers and I hope you surprass your goals. I can't wait to see what 2025 has in store
Congratulations for 17 years on YT! (2007 I think lol) Throwback cool seeing a young nick! Best of luck for your aspirations in 2025! Thanks for the great videos in 2024
I discovered your channel last year and I've fallen in love with all your uploads! You're actually the one who inspired me to catalogue all my games to see how many are in my backlog so I can beat them! Now I've got a whole spreadsheet with my backlogged games, their platform, and how long they should take to beat. So indirectly, you also pushed me to learn how to use pivot tables in excel XD But I look so forward to what you have in store this year!
Gameboy is my favourite console to collect for so im super excited for any videos you make about that. Best of luck with everything you have planned for 2025, you're easily the best retro channel out there and I've a feeling this is going to be your best year yet!
Wow, I only discovered your channel last year. To hear you've been around since 2007 is really impressive. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you do in 2025! I love Jet Force Gemini, but cannot beat it anymore. I beat it once as a kid, and have returned to it many times over the years including on the Xbox. Lemme tell ya... it's a toughie, lol. Protip: when you go to rescue the Tribals in the stages, make sure to leave via an actual stage exit (a spaceship) instead of just exiting via menus - it won't count them as rescued if you just exit the stage via menu. Also, if you have a partner to play with, it's super worth it to find all the pieces for Floyd the Droid so you can enable co-op. Other than that, I highly suggest playing on Xbox as the control scheme is terrible on N64 and emulator (since, when in "aim mode," it switches the movement and aiming controls. Normally, they're on the analog stick/C-buttons, but while aiming, they're reversed. The Xbox versions, on Xbox One/Series X via Rare Replay, have been reprogrammed to keep them consistent. It's not perfect, but it's MUCH better than the original version). So good luck whenever you get around to trying to knock that off your backlog!
Your GB, GBC, GBA, DS and 3DS videos have given me such a great list of games to put on my backlog. Thanks so much for your videos and know that I’ve been sharing links to your content among my new Chromatic friends 😊
Awesome thank you! I’ve been enjoying my chromatic but not done a video yet… waiting for some of the features to work on Mac first, can’t use the video out or firmware updater on there yet
Happy New Year to you mate, am so excited for all your plans for the channel this year, the best retrogaming channel on TH-cam is about to get even more awesome, I can’t wait!
One of the OG’s!! Thanks for being here! And Bluesky is amazing! I feel so much happier since I started using it instead of Twitter! Everyone is so nice on there, I love it
What are you worried about saying that wouldn’t be allowed on bluesky? :O I’ve not seen any complaints about freedom of speech, and you can set up your own moderation to remove anything you don’t want to see
I don't mind sponsored content, but I've witnessed other creators over the past years who showcase more and more expensive products to the point that i begin to tune out. For example, an emulation channel is offererd a mini PC, so they make the video about using that PC to make an emulation machine, however it costs $700, $800, or higher. Instant pass for me. Affordable and interesting products related to the channel are still fine to me though.
I'm looking forward towards your 2025 plans mate! Did you ever buy the Neo Geo AES console and the games?🤔 Happy belated new year Nick and stay safe! 👍
Thank you! It’s easy to forget, I’m sure there’s a bunch of YT channels I watch too that I haven’t subbed because they pop up on the homepage :( I tried using Mastodon but didn’t like it
Never played SOTN?!?! Love your channel, and can tell you are a "real" gamer. I enjoy especially your GBC and GBA content. But that said-- stop everything and do not make another video until you play SOTN!!!
Sponsored content is OK as long as you promote something that you understand and know it's good. However, your expertise lies in upbeat, cozy presentation of games on original hardwares, the emulation stuff and contemporary accessories stuff is better done elsewhere.
Thanks, yeah I want to stick to what I know and love, got so bored of promoting the emulation systems, and they all sucked too 😅 I’ll leave that up to the dedicated channels from now on!

Thank you so much! I do try to keep that original TH-cam style alive! Just want to share what I love, which is what it was originally all about!
Couldn’t agree more. One of my favourite channels.

Great idea! I could make it a community thing and everyone can play it that month too! :D
I agree. This channel is a gem and oughta get much bigger in the coming year🎉..can feel it🙂
I'm not a retro guy but I watch your videos due to your enthusiasm - always make a good start to my day. Looking forward to your journey in 2025.
Love your content - especially the gameboy and gbc videos.

It's crazy that TH-cam only recommended me your channel last year. Congrats on persevering all these years.

Looking forward to 2025 on your channel! Sounds like some great plans. Looking forward to any homebrew coverage you find time for.

We should start planning out the trip to Doncaster gaming market we wanted to do! (Remember the chat on Twitch?)
Also, for what it's worth, I'd never skip a ROM Hacks video if you ever do another soon. :-)
Definitely planning some! I love rom hacks!

Can’t call me a real gamer if I’ve never played SOTN!! 😭
@@RetroBreakyour channel proves you're a real one. I've finished the gba and ds castlevanias many times and never played sotn as well.
