I bet it's weird to have Christmas in the middle of summer in Australia. But Christmas is still the best holiday of the year, whether there's snowing or not!

The Bible says the shepherds were tending their flocks (and in winter the sheep would be corralled), so there's some indication that he might have been born in spring. Though the truth is we don't have that data. Not like other incidents in Jesus's life, like his crucifixion is referred to as when the Passover lamb was sacrificed (thus the 14th of the Hebrew month of Nisan), but his birth has no such assurance.
I think most Australians would say it doesn't feel weird at all. It's what we're all used to!

You have strange traditions in Down Under, but nice one. I like it. Even I know, that the seasons at your side is the opposite from here, it's weird to see you sitting on the beach with 38°C.

I heart this. You guys have such a quirky way that you go about yourselves. I mean that in the best sense. Wonderful seeing your family again too. Oh my those lights were so pretty. It is strange seeing holiday trimmings in the midst of searing sunshine and heat, but it gives one more appreciation of how the yuletide is observed in various places. The same Christmas, with different people. Yet it brings us together. Love you guys.

In England, on Christmas Eve, it basically was freezing cold, misty and had a bit of rain. You guys are realllllyyy lucky....So are Americans though, because it snows there. Not once in my life has it snowed on christmas!

What a lovely celebration of Christmas. All the best for your adventures in 2019. We are currently on holiday in Watermans Bay and we visited the same Christmas lights for the wheelchair kids a few nights ago, they were great, especially the one synchronised to music.

I knew you were from Australia but didn't realise home was Perth - I live a few minutes away from Joondalup shopping centre so it was very funny to see all the places I visit on a daily basis in your vlog when I'm usually watching your blogs as inspiration for travels so far away from home!
