This was a great video and something I’ve been reflecting on lately! There is only one deck on my wishlist at the moment that I have been lusting over for the past 3 years 😅
Love your videos and the perspective you bring. I also keep a short wishlist, and decks can be on there for months, then I end up deleting them because the moment passes. It's the same for books and clothes. I definitely overthink 😆 Nice that you ended up with some of the most special decks from your list💚
I feel you about the Marseille decks that are a bit over-eagerly restored. I like a messy Marseille! I feel like the more we see AI generated art the more the pendulum swing of tarot trends is going to go towards more obviously hand made art...or maybe I'm just hoping? I've been appreciating the touch and feel of an actual person in my tarot art lately. Also, as a southern queer who loves the black / gold / red colour palette...I have never gotten over missing out on the Slow Holler Tarot. It was truly a deck for ME and my perspective, and I missed it, haha. But I don't regret it enough to pay the secondhand prices...One sold for like $700 on ebay last week and like...nah, actually, haha. I feel like I can go on and live my life without most of the decks on my wishlist, but the Slow Holler is one of the only decks where I feel like there's really a hole in my collection without it. (...but not as big of a hole as $700 would make, haha)
I totally get that! Couldn't justify (for myself) to buy a single deck for that price. Perhaps one will find you/ you will find one for an affordable price/ it will come back in print !
I picked up Nefertari on a whim and can’t get along with it at all, then researched like mad and got the forest of enchantment deck and i love it sooo much… definitely going to be picky from now on! I’m also going to try your tip with the cards I like and don’t like in Nefertari, see if it’s worth keeping at all… nice video, thanks 🙌🏼
I really like the Millennial Tarot but don’t enjoy the cardstock… it is large and stiff. I did already trim 2 ends (forgot which ones) to make it easier to shuffle. The art style totally reminds me of my youth.
Slow Hollar wasn't the first, but it was certainly an early one. I didn't get it because it's different artists. The color palette brought it together, but I have never been able to get along with decks done by different artists. I think at the time I was hoping to get the Delta Enduring Tarot, it's still on the list to manifest. I also printed my own little Greenwood. I agree it has a totally different feel, I keep it in the same bag with my Wildwood, but I don't use it because I like Will Worthington's artwork better. Just a me thing. I love the Moon Baby iteration of the Hoi Paloi BETTER, stronger, cleaner. But definitely different. Great reader, probably my favorite rws clone. I must admit, I use Thoth when I want Thoth... but my clones are great. Tabula Mundi is super fun, I also really love Asherah, and Sun and Moon, and Urban Tarot (if you love NYC) are also amazing Thoth decks. I get what you mean about the dance moves, I can totally imagine that would be a distraction for a dancer. Abyssal Tarot would be a cool one for a dancer imho. Maconnique is one of my treasures. But I love every single card. I paid stupid money to have it. Sorry not sorry! I also am truly bonded to the Crone! I spent time with each card individually, and we totally understand one another. But I know not everyone has the same experience. I don't think I have anything like Kasanlar, but I do have a copy of the Rumi Tarot (my copy was in a printing machine incident) and I THINK it fills the space for me. I like that style with the gold borders, that cardstock is among my favorites. Way to make your wishes come true!! I love that you brought Terrestrial to yourself. I am also feeling like Millennial Tarot might be very usable and fun, but I might like Lame Hype Tarot better. This is a wonderful topic! 😊❤😊
I am commenting during watching- I printed the Greenwood for myself using MPC because the creator putted the images on the website for common use. You don't have titles on the cards so you'll be able to stay with your own choices of the court cards. And you can choose your preferable cardstock😉. I love this deck!!! It has completely different vibes than Wildwood- it's more like luminous space full of magic!!!
@@AstralLadyTarot Yes I know. I've seen someone's video about Greenwood (I don't remember the name of the channel😮💨) and she printed her deck on a poker size cardstock- they looked amazing! I even thought about doing the same but I am so much bond with my deck that I won't do it. Besides thanks for a July reading- I really like this belly-button creature😘🌞✨️
I tried to by a Thoth clone, liber T Thoth but I don’t love it I’m gifting it to my daughter… it’s not the same! I’m looking the blue Border Thoth. But Truthfully I love my greenie and my French addition by amg it the spot. Your right nothing beats the Thoth! But on my wish list is The Abyssal Tarot…. I did get Dust II Onyx with was a win for me. The millennial terrible with something I went back and forth over as well, but I opted not to get it, but I do understand why you’d want it!
I think I’m not going to get tempted by the Millennial.. Dust II Onyx looks incredible but as a non-traditional deck it doesn’t spark my intuition in every card so it’s not for me even though wow beautiful. Greenie Thoth truly is the best for me probably! Thank yoh

So, speaking of wish lists and senseless material accumulation versus intention, and at the risk of coming across as exceptionally venal ... my deck, which I mentioned in a comment a few videos ago, is actually out now and, as I promised, I'd be super happy to send a copy your way if you're at all interested. If it doesn't really speak to you, I totally understand, and there is no pressure to actually review it on the channel or anything. Considering the fact that your videos often kept me company while I was working on these cards long into the night, I'd want you to have one regardless. Similarly, if it doesn't jive after the fact, I am more than okay with you regifting it to someone you think might be a better fit. It is its own system, as opposed to being RWS, Thoth, or Marseilles driven, so it's understandably not going to be for everyone. Anyways, I am not going to link it on here or anything (and I would not advise folks click on any random links on the interwebs the source of which they do not trust), but you can very easily check it out by typing "The Lacuna Tarot" into google. I believe the crowdfunding pages come up first, and the actual storefront is third or fourth search result down.

Also, I put some of the images through an ai checker, it says it’s mostly ai. I’ve put images from my deck through it, and it says it’s by a human
