    Always suffered with cold feet on cool days, cold air and wind chill.
    Thought I would try out the heated insoles last September, WOW absolutely fantastic. Makes all the difference.

    I’ve used a heated vest for many years and had just been thinking about adding heated gloves, but this looks like a good idea for “upgrading” to a more integrated complete system. 😃🏍👍

      It is a very neat system, less loose cables to get caught up in.

    Great review, thanks. Have considered one of their earlier jackets for a while, think it might be time to pull the trigger on this one. Looks good. Cheers

    Just to say Keis do a SAE adapter which enables you to easily plug in to a battery tender. So can easily remove in the summer. I use the best and heated gloves. So far the 7.5 amp fuse has been ok! Cheers for the review 👍

    Thanks for the review. I have a Kies waistcoat which is really good, but my arms get cold. How good are the heat pads in the arms of this jacket? Cheers.

      No problem, and they are very good. I also have the KEIS vest, but its stayed in the wardrobe since I got the jacket.

    I had these, I found them to difficult to connect the gloves to the jacket, when you have another outer jacket on.

    Hi would you be able to wear this over the Knox armour shirt and then put a jacket on over the keiss thanks great review

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had thought about that, but i'm not sure you'd get much benefit of the heat. It really needs to be worn over a base layer and be relatively snug fitting. So I guess its only meant for use under an outer jacket that contains the armour

    How fiddly is it to operate the controller? Can you change the jacket temperature without stopping and pulling over?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, not fiddly at all, its just one button. you can see it in action in this video of mine th-cam.com/video/zTmCKsY_icg/w-d-xo.html

    hello, I'd like to ask you where do you put the battery (witch pocket) in the jacket? the one witch is located right next where is the selector? But the zip is upside down... !! ...not convenient

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      The jacket is designed to be used connected directly to the bike as it draws 5.5amps of current. A battery pack wouldn't last very long, but you could store on in the handwarmer pocket

    Quick one, I have the heated insole with a controller. Will the jacket controller also change the heat setting to my insole or will I need to keep using my heated insole controller?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It won't no, you'll still need the insole mini controller, otherwise the insole will stay on the hottest setting I believe?

  • @andrewroberts5416

    I’m thinking about getting the heated vest to keep the bulk down as I often find jacket sleeves can get rather tight. Any idea on the effectiveness without the sleeve heating? I appreciate you’ve tried the sleeved version, but others may be able to comment too.

      I own a keis premium heated vest in my second year with it absolutely fantastic & at no time at all do i miss not having the sleeve's i'm known for loving the heat & best way i can describe it is it's like riding in an electric blanket just don't wear it next to the skin i wear mine over a base layer, Make sure you get the heat controller they were giving them away free when i brought mine its an extra now & you will need it as i never have to set mine above medium heat & i ride all year round

      Hands and arms lose heat rapidly, fat arms may help though!

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I own a Keis vest (th-cam.com/video/6nK_FCGdpQw/w-d-xo.html) and really like it. The thing I noticed about the jacket when i first used it was the heat in the arms, so on really cold days I can see that being a benefit. I'm like you and don't like having my arms bundled up, so the vest is better in that respect, but the jacket isnt too bad on the arms. The one thing I would like to see incorporated into the vest though is the collar. It was fantastic to get some heat around the neck and was the biggest plus point of the jacket for me. (plus also not having wires dangle daown your arm for the gloves).
      Scientifically I believe its all about maintaining the core temperature of your body. If you keep that warm the rest will take care of itself. Arms and hands start to get cold as your core temperature drops, and the body starts restricting bloodflow to the extremities in order to protect the internal organs.
