Badass cover! One of the most under-rated bands EVER. I still remember going and buying Gretchen Goes to Nebraska on cassette and playing it so much I had to replace it!
I must be number 997 watcher in a row viewer. Like the way you did this song...been trying to nail this song to play... Very helpful to see you play it... Rob - Santa Cruz , CA
He takes the neck pickup out because even if it's disconnected, the magnets still pull on the strings, allowing for very minute interferences. He has said this himself when asked that same question in a video that I've watched on here. He then puts the computer fan grille on it for an aesthetic effect.
I believe I've read that the pickup in that particular viper is a seymour duncan alnico pro 2. "The Drills" guitar is a viper with a P-94. Not sure why he takes the neck pickups out.
its an ESP Viper. but im pretty sure he put the stickers on himself. dont trust me on that tho, coz im only assuming from another guitar he has that he put stickers on
Find your camera......where the hell is it? That is like not knowing where your guitar is. Although I have a nice Peavy Duece somewhere in this city, but have not seen it in 20 years!
thanks and lot but i feel like i blew. hadn't played this song in years and forgot a whole lotta stuff. played the 2nd half of the solo first, botched the ending yada yada.... i'm a whiney bitch but hey.... great footage. hahahaha
Ok, now were rockin! excellent taste in music, Phil...... Check out some of my songs, too if you`d like it`s under ragsjames Thank you, very much for the song!
Hey, is this the same Phil X that replaced Rik Emmett from Triumph for their last horrible release before breaking up? This is no hate toward Phil, it wasn't his fault the album was so bad, his playing was just fine and I REALLY like what he did with the outro solo of their awful cover of Nazareths 'Love Hurts', it was brilliant, beautiful, the problem with the song is you can't NOT listen to Gil Moore's simply disturbing vocal on that trac, you'd think it came from some extremely egotistical washed up Karaoke lounge singer, not a guy that had several Platinum albums that used to sell out arena's and who knew how to sing WELL, without Rik in the mix to keep Gil's ego in check, left to his own devices without a voice of reason to guide him, Gil not only embarrassed the hell out of himself, he sadly really corroded the reputation Triumph had spent years building.
Great cover that, tight and made it their own✌️👍😊💜
Phil X is a immensely talented musician! He's a good singer as well!

Dig how the drummer even emulates Xs Drummers playing style

Or they can play whatever they want, any way they want to play it, whether you like it or not. They did the song justice.
