    Chris hit the nail on the head at 2:23. There is so much happening at an increasingly faster pace: business changes, market changes, industries are being transformed by new business channels. We need to dial ourselves back and come back to neutrality by stopping, and not giving into our natural “reactions” to these stressors.

    Dear Lewis, this was the shortest yet most impactful conversation, genuine knowledge to take with. This man is so self-aware and owns social-awareness. There for, he is a very good, mature coach. He gives simple lessons in short but for a long terms. It seems like you two understood well between, it was a complementary dialogue of professionals. And it becomes so natural to me, before any of Your podscasts, I take my notes to write the highlights :) Thank You!

    So I started my day listening to this and somehow must have internalized the idea of 'accessing neutrality', because when I met with a minor accident at lunchtime I didn't lose my temper, I didn't lose my cool, I wasn't even upset - just calmly and patiently thought through and planned next steps - ok call cops, insurance, take pics of damage, etc. This from a person who would have burst into tears or overreacted in other circumstances. Awesome talk Chris, and Lewis - as always know how much your podcasts are impacting our lives in ways big and small. Thank you and much love.

    I really wanted to like this episode but I'm very disappointed. I find Chris Lee's recommendations to be very abstract. He talks very well about the problem but his solutions either aren't clear or not very practical (e.g. using meditation to deal with triggers? That's too general and vague and doesn't really work for me).

  • @brandonkelley6500
    @brandonkelley6500 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    One thing that I believe intertwined with respond/react neutrality that wasn't really mentioned was perspective. I agree with everything that you have to be aware of your triggers and conscious of why you became triggered, and trace that back. However, I believe focusing only on yourself is limiting. It is also important to practice empathy and to view situations from someone else's perspective, as briefly hinted when discussing kids.

    Having kids is the best way to improve your patience for sure! It's a big challenge not to respond to the crisis. But I totally agree, kids are kids. We must have high expectations only about ourselves and not about others.

    My hair doesn’t grow like its normal pace.. also my period is late for seven days.. I’m not sexually active and doesn’t exercise actively.. Stress is the only reason I know that affects my hair and period.. I’m very glad for this interview! Saved my life! Gave me awareness! To others who are also unemployed, we’ll get hired someday! ☺️ Thank you for this video ❤️

      Diet also plays a huge part in periods. When I went vegan I lost my period for years. I think something similar happened to Leanne Vogel from Healthful Pursuit. She helps people get their period back.

    This was brilliant. The truth,- that really touched me: Whatever you think about will expand.
    It can become your reality. There are a few areas, in which I've managed this, I've gotta expand on this. The being neutral will help.

    SHHHAAABBBOOOMMM... I love this interview Lewis, awesome stuff bro... I totally agree with "neutrality", it is extremely powerful. When you drop into neutral you allow yourself to observe and experience whatever the situation is without reacting and allowing exterior forces to control you, you know who you are and you stay grounded in trust. Absolutely a great information!!! Peace, ✌ictory.
