how do you get the wood to stay on the bottom? i tried putting one in my oscar tank and it kept floating to the top... rocks wouldnt hold it down either
very nice tank why you don't get same more fishes you have a saw big tank with only two fishes maybe you could pout more or maybe you have a reason that you don't pout more
well one cheap way is to buy pool filter sand its comes in 50lb bags and its only 7 dollars and has a off white natural look even if its harder to mantain just replace it for 7 dollars.. most bags have no add ons to it and are safe to everything including stingrays and bottom feeder
He wouldn't be happy in a tank like that,they grow to 40cm.Longer and wider tanks are better for them.Even with 2xOscars in a 500L,a pleco would be pushing it a bit.Rather get a synodontis and a few semi aggressive fish.Things like convicts and firemouths would work nicely.

Great looking tank. To anybody that has doubts about this being a 500 liter aquarium well it is. It's a tall tank instead of a long one.

I think your tank is perfect the way it is. The Os have nice open area to swim, and lots of nooks and crannies for privacy too.

I also added sand into my tank but my filters seem to clogg up. also, with a sponge prefilter, the water flow is restricted. any ideas?
