Hi nice tutorial, but i am stuck with not populating my nodes , so i can choose datasource "influxdb also my bucket "proxmox" but the server does not show me the node name only "all" Any idea ?
I've been playing around for about 2 weeks now and ... i like it. All data pulls and graph updates just feels more snappier compared to Zabbix. They are both great options to consider, but from my point of view - zabbix is more for huge data collections where Grafana is more closer to Home Lab and small businesses.
great video, didnt even see the "metric server" option, i have grafana for some info from my database but i didnt know there was some "template" already ready by just copying their id to grafana, gonna test it with proxmox thx
Folder that you tried to map to container path "/var/lib/grafana" That folder - who owns it? sounds like root:root has access to that folder and not user
I watched your Zabbix and this tutorial, good job... what I feel both these tutorials are missing is how to enable "notifications", select which alerts to notify me about and those that I wish to ignore... it would be nice if you could explain this for both grafana and zabbix... Although I would be interested to know if you are using Grafana alerts at all, or just zabbix?

No. I run unprivileged containers. If I need to use something price privileged container - I set separate lxc/VM to isolate it.

You proxmox server is clustered or single node?

I got permission denied for the volume /var/lib/grafana, so I just removed it for now.

Probably easier to just install netdata.
but netdata you need to install it on the pve host, i prefere this methode.
