Yes please. It's beyond annoying. It's also why I don't follow his twitch channel, because I don't want my VOD portion filled up with 30 min clips of Cohh pushing the other VODS from other streamers off the screen. Please quit that shit Cohh.
Whole day or session would fine as long as it’s broken up per game if he changes it during the session. The 20+ uploads a day are why I don’t sub to him and have to search for the channel if a video isn’t being recommended.
@@nethervortex Why does 20+ videos a day matter? TH-cam only gives you a notification for 1 or 2 videos a day anyways.
Wasn’t aware that happened I just assumed it would clog the sub feed as I thought they were listed based on when a video is uploaded.
Hey cohh, you might want to change the branding of the new channel. "TH-cam Shorts" refers to specific content that is made to be like tiktok, but on youtube. Usually 2 minute or under highlights. Perhaps branding it with terms like Cohhtube, "edited" or morecohh might be better than using the term "shorts"/"short"/"short-form"? It's just confusing messaging, especially when most people on the youtube side have a sour taste against shorts (since youtube requires shorts to be in cellphone aspect ratio).
Basically, the term "short" on this platform is a bit demonized here and it's iladvised to use that term for stuff that isn't branded as youtube shorts.
Agree!! I saw it called the Shorts Channel and immediately dismissed it. I hate shorts and try to get them out of my feed whenever I can. Seeing your comment made me think again.
edit: I actually clicked through to the channel and it's called @morecohh and doesn't actually say shorts on it so maybe that's just how he linked it in the description.
Also because there's @Cohh Shorts where the shorts already go...
@@rsawyer757 He also used the term "short" alot instead of "edited" when he described it in the video. So I think this issue might persist beyond this one instance of poor word choice.

I actually wish sometimes this was MORE longform, like 2-3hr bites instead of 20-30 minutes but I'm old and that's "short form" to me.
Nothing wrong with the way it is. I like watching the long form stuff. I watch it while doing other stuff and have it in the background while I'm working etc.
If the new channel is more short form, why is it MoreCohh and not LessCohh?

Short form that cuts farming I can do but I love the conversations that might happen while he’s farming or side questing so I’m at an impasse
I hope your new channel does well and captures the market you want for it, but I must say I prefer the sort archive quality that this one has and the content that is posted here. I hate over edited stream videos and would much rather watch the whole thing. And yes that includes the moments where you mute to answer your phone or talk to your wife or when your kids run in and such. All of it. That is a legitimate part of the stream experience and that is want I want to be able to see when I come here. I want it unfiltered. In part because I like the sort of "peak behind the current" element to it, but much more practically because invariably I get annoyed AF if part gets skipped over and I wanted to see it. It ALWAYS happens when heavy editing enters the chat so to speak.

Hey Cohh, excited about the new channel, but hopefully we’ll still get the long form stuff too I like watching the full playthrough playlists
I personally would like to see a channel dedicated to streaming VODs. I enjoy having the video playing in the background while I'm doing other things, and it's convenient not to have to switch tabs.
You can start watching the playlists instead of clicking on the individiul videos. That way the next videos automatically starts and it's essentially the same as watching the vod

Something to note is that you can't capture the twitch chat as part of video to upload elsewhere as part of twitch TOS. You can do the short bits from OBS or another app, but not twitch itself.
@@Enviax Watching a playlist works the same as watching a full length vod. If Cohh published a full length vod, you probably wouldn't get to watch it till a whole day later cause of the processing and rendering time.

Haha. Was worried at first. I barely get to see him live and this is where I watch Cohh’s Let’s Plays.
I do think that’s a smart idea having one channel for a complete full stream in video playback as TH-cam does a very good job of it and a separate channel for a more concentrated TH-cam content play through style. I do hope that works. I do have some games I want to see every second of gameplay but others I want more concentrated play through so I hope a lot of other people feel the same.
Ok I'm not crazy. When he started talking about a new youtube channel I was like "Again?", I thought you tried this and didn't like it. I understand wanting to make content more digestable and cater to the audience of the platform you're on. I personally prefer uncut, unedited footage as I think a lot of things get missed, and left on the cutting room floor. Things that I actually want to watch for. So as long as you give your viewers the choice, I'm 100% on board.
Most creators simply don't have the resources to pursue both paths, and I'm glad that you do. I hope it works out for you and the viewers.
Sounds great actually. In cases when I'm not quite sure I want a game or not, like with Helldivers, maybe Edited Cohh would be just the thing to find out.
I kinda miss the weekly snippets that you did once cohh. I think I found out that you were playing judgement and that it was not on youtube through it once and went over to your twitch to watch the whole thing. Kinda hoping you might find another way to update us the youtube folk on whats gg on the other side!

I wish you the best on the new channel, but I personally don't do "shorts" at all. I wish YT would allow me to block "shorts" from showing at all. Waste ... Of ... Space. But that is me, and I am probably an outlier. I wish you luck, but I can not support something I vehemently dislike. Edit: Keeping shorts out of this channel is GUD :-)
It's not "shorts" its edited videos. This was a mistake in his branding. It is NOT meant to refer to "youtube shorts" but rather just edited down vods. I don't blame you for the confusion, I was the same way and agree that this branding mishap needs to be corrected.
You can block shorts and even remove them from your TH-cam page completely. At least you can on a computer.

While I'm going to sub to the new channel to help out. I like the format here. I rarely get to catch Cohh's streams so this channel here is great for me who enjoys watching him.
But maybe the new channel will be interesting for Games I am not as interested in for some reason.

If you watched the Starfield playthroughs (he did 2 of them btw) you'd know that yes he did abandon them, no he is not returning unless an expansion drops, and the problems he had that led to him abandoning it. He was very clear and direct about that.

Personally, I'll stay on this channel as 20-40 minute videos are already perfect for me (in fact I wouldn't even mind hour + long videos!). Still, good luck with trying out something new. Maybe it will be just right for an audience that wants to watch cohh but finds content here unapproachable. All the best to Cohh and the youtube team!
Respectfully, what’s with all these streamers having multiple channels? Is it just doubling/tripling view count pay outs? Omareloff, Smitty, and Cohh. I’m curious how it works
Some people don't want to/don't have time to watch 100+ hour playthroughs but still want to see the good/fun/interesting parts. It's a different "market". It's not tripling view count because I'll assume nobody has time to watch 8 daily hours of Cohh from this channel AND x hours of Cohh from the new channel.

It's mainly diversifying. The algorithm promotes things that fall within the bounds of what gets the most views on TH-cam and even burries things that are too far outside those bounds. This means that this channel because it posts several videos a day, usually 6-8 hours of content, it doesn't get promoted and possibly even burried. But the algorithm for some reason penalizes diverse forms of content on 1 channel. So that forces content creators to make seperate channels for their different forms of content.
Love the commitment to trying new things and evolving with the world.

Nah, no thanks Cohh. Part of the draw, even on TH-cam, is seeing the community interactions and the other things. Cutting anything out, besides maybe time away from the chair (which you already do) seems like a waste of effort resulting in making the experience worse.
