Cohh has put me on to not only some amazing games, but whole genres of games. Dude is basically the reason I played BG3 at release, because of DOS2. I trust this man's taste more then any other streamer, so I can't wait for this game man!
this is either supposed to be the hitbox in game he talked about 🥹 (that will be turned into pixle perfect weapon animation) orrr cohh is just a square :b
It's like someone took great bits from all of my favorite games and put them together in a gorgeous looking package! Best of luck to this project, can't wait to try it myself when it comes out!
Wishlisted this game the first time you posted about it. You had me at fishing. I hope there is a summoner option that lets me send a horde of minions around the screen. Ideally, with the minions not limited to a single or a few types of mobs. I'd love a game that let me use any kind of hostile/ambient critter in the game for my minion horde. Kind of like in Diablo 3 where you could raise corpses and sometimes your minion horde were big lumbering badasses, and sometimes they were skittering, quick little fuckers - it just depended on what was around you as you were building up your horde.
1- the town will sometime be invaded with some enemies that if your townspeople are not good equipped they can be injured or something and you have to do something about it? 2- it will have something of a tower defense mechanism vs huge enemy invasions of one race or another or something? 3- if will have outposts in the world that you can build and customize for something like that too (that also can be invaded and if you dont go there in time it gets destroyed and some resources stolen or something)? 4- the game could have a mercenary system that you can hire 1 to 3 mercenaries or something that help in you gameplay also making the game harder with each mercenary hired, they're also having skills etc. edit 5- there will be a summoner class?
hi @CohhCarnage i love this project i obviously wishlisted it immediately since it has almost everything i always wanted of a game. I hope you see this message since there are a few further aspects i'd love to see in your game and maybe you might like a few of those ideas. - first would probably be an easy one that you get a multiplier on your stats for leveling up, if there is a leveling system depending on the weapons you master and maybe the classes that are unlockable. If there is no leveling system getting some flat stats by leveling weapons/jobs/etc-mastery. - the second would be probably not as easy but hireing special npcs that can also level with their equipment just as you can. Those special npcs can have random stats and you can recommend a weapon to them. later they can get their own troops as your general and some of the nodes could be subdungeons which your generals can conquer for you or you can go with them and command your generals while they command their troops. This would be a little bit like mount and blade. these could later be the bases of your generals and their troops. - my third idea is that all the npcs actually get an ai for their behaviour towards you and the world. Depending on a randomized system how they grew up and how their standing is in the world. So if the npc comes to town and goes to the casino and loses all his money there is a chance that he gets a little job if another npc is looking for someone depending on the recources etc. or he will start being a beggar or he might find some bandits to join them. Also if you help some npcs in dire situations a rightious npc that sees that might like you more while another thinks you are stupid to help the poor people. this would also lead to different groups of npcs that interact with each other. if the bandits get too strong there will be abductions and mugging but also more nps will start working as soldiers. - and my fourth wish would be to make this game modable because again just like mount and blade it makes the game so much more versatile and there would be even more replayability.
This looks so good! A pixel art game where you can see gear equips is really rare, not sure if I've ever seen one before but I for one really appreciate this feature
Wishlisted this a while ago, would def be interested in play testing eventually. This game is already in the same vein as some of my favorites of all time, and the ambitions make me even more excited.
I'd love to be able to explore the parallel Vitromotuses after finishing the game. From what you explained, the game seems like one where you can “max out” everything, so having the option of simply pouring tens or hundreds of hours into a single character feels like a very cool idea. As such, it would be really cool to be able to find all the events as well.
Saw the updated he posted today and had to look more into the game, and im glad i did this looks and sounds like its going to be a sick game cant wait for it to hit EA, also glad the team and cohh know to take there time to get it right.
Wishlisted. Looking great and excited to see the combat jobs. Sounds/seems like dragons dogma style grabbing passivea from one class to boost another. The job/class swapping sounds amazing. Cant wait to see this drop for playable early acess.
20:20 i literally clapped out loud, this is awesome cohh. wishlisted! thanks to you and your teams hard work, i know this game will be great! much love
when you hear cohh talk about all the best systems in other games, putting them together in one game and showing every triple A game company how games should've evolved this decade. Grats cohh and team., this looks like a game of the year already.
At about 22:40 Cohh mentions an addition building section of the game. Obviously we don't know what all that entails, but I've always liked the idea of mixing RTS-like base building and resource gathering with some kind of wave-based Tower defense mechanics. Obviously, I have no clue if that's even remotely close to what they have in mind, or if it's just going to be a fun little base builder, but either way I think that sounds awesome!
This looks exactly as good as imagined it would when it was first announced. I wishlisted this the second Cohh announced it earlier and I absolutely cannot wait to sink my teeth in to this the second it comes out to EA
New game plus similar to Outward so that i can finetune a build for a playstyle but still be able to use it for the campaign of the game. I have s hard time getting hype for builds where by time im in them theres only farming left to use them against.
I love this type of pixelart, i just hear you talk about it on stream and I had to look it up. Wishlisted it, will be fun to explore. currently delving into Core Keeper's 1.0 release so these type of games, like Terraria, Stardew Valley, Sun Haven etc all are fun games to play hundreds of hours in.
Oh my god I've said for the longest time there isn't enough singleplayer games taking the "everything levels up" bit from MMOs, Valheim kinda did it and has people playing for thousands of hours, super excited for this
As a fan of your channel, I know how you like a game difficulty the more higher possible. I just wish they will be an easy mode for casual gamer like me that like those game but that not as great as you are at gaming. The game look awesome, the skill mechanic make me hype for your game, I love loooooting!
The game looks like it will end up a great title, very ambitious, ticks a lot of boxes I'd like to see. I'm not a big fan of pixel or soulslike games so I wouldn't pick this up but I'm sure it'd be fun to watch someone else. Congrats on the work so far, huge accomplishments to you and the team behind it!
I'd love if you add in a Pillars of Eternity castle gold sink that really opens up the games as you have a full fledge castle AND the dungeon below that is intended to go and come back from. Would love that with this type of game as it adds such a cool alternative narrative way to flesh out your character/story. the transmog thing would be cool if it was tied to your weapon layout, so if you switch weapons mid combat, you could loook fundamentally different potentially. Could really add that extra flare that drives immersion. pixel perfect hit boxes would be insane! holy hell, the mob intelligence sounds amazing! love the idea of a visual representation as the mob is changing its behavior. Much better way to represent stun attacks/dots/etc.
Really liking all the improvements and new interactions, also I'm loving the beautiful pixel art that reminds me more and more of Legend of Zelda Minish Cap, which was really high quality and vibrant even back then. In terms of combat, something I'd hope is for daggers to not only be "thrownables", but also I wish they would have their own melee endgame skills, since that's the purpose of daggers: Choosing between melee potent high risk/high reward combat or mid range combat, because every skill becoming big circular AoE skills starts to get boring really fast imo. Finally, I don't know if it would be too much work, but for example being able to wield a boss weapon and keep it as much as you want. In a lot of games there's always this "Man, I wish I were able to have that amazing weapon as a reward" situation. Sorry if this was already adressed, but it's something awesome I'd like to see happening. Keep it up!
The class selection reminds me of the FF 5 job system, its a cool idea! I wonder if you will be able to undo class choices like on Last Epoch, and be able to toggle them on or off to test different combinations. Keep on the good work, Cohh!
Listening to you talk about the game gave me Sean Murray flashbacks 😅. The game looks like it is coming along great and something right up my alley, just hope all those systems and things you talked about will for sure be in the game when it does launch. If so, and if executed properly, can definitely see this being a gem of a game. Liked alot of what I seen. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the 4th pillar. Procedural generation is the bees knees, but at the same time I am not the type of player who wants to restart a game for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th run. I love to basically just master the game on the 1st playthrough by the end and completely enjoy the world that I've essentially created. Want to min max everything and the world to feel lived in so to speak. Not a fan of doing everything and going "oh well, I missed a really cool event that never happened in my game. Guess I'll restart the game and hope I get it on the next playthrough". That doesn't entice me one bit, but I know it probably does for some folks. I'd rather just be able to finally see everything if I spend enough time in my playthrough. Don't want to do everything that I can, see 80% of all there is to see, then spend hours doing another playthrough to maybe see another 5% of new stuff, whilst doing mostly the same things all over again for that tiny extra bit of content. That's my main criticism from this showcase. Loved much of most everything else that was shown.
Indie game of the year! This is super, super exciting. I am not normally into these types of games, almost at all, but everything you've shown here, I am totally in love with. I'm sure, like everyone, I cannot wait to get hands on! I think with the whole procedural generation, watching many playthroughs on Twitch and TH-cam will be a blast. Not a huge fan of pixel games in general, but Emberville seems to have enough detail and resolution + the animations look extra smooth so I'll definitely pick it up. Looks and sounds very promising.
Been following Emberville since before you were announced as part of the team. Really looking forward to the release. Artisitically reminds of Moonlighter which i loved. I also really love the combat customization with skills and the like. Cant wait.
YES PLEASE LET US REROLL THE VITROMITUS! I want to be able to see everything but i was bummed that i'd have to reroll a character each time. I would absolutely love to see everything on my main playthrough

Heavy usage of cohhcaine.
@@e17171 he even shows himself with his cohhcaine on stream.
this proves the cohhfee really works
Welcome to Cohn’s CrackHouse
This hits like all the itches in one game. So excited to see the game progress! Great work by you and your team!
🥹
square
is it a box or a square
Can I smooch the people I find? Real questions!
this is either supposed to be the hitbox in game he talked about 🥹 (that will be turned into pixle perfect weapon animation)
orrr cohh is just a square :b
What's in the BOX?!!!
It's like someone took great bits from all of my favorite games and put them together in a gorgeous looking package! Best of luck to this project, can't wait to try it myself when it comes out!

Great stuff! Excited to see more and get my sweaty hands on it!
Im so happy for Cohh, but also for us to have this experience with him.
oh man I only watched like 10 mins of this so far and I'm already super hyped
This looks so good! A pixel art game where you can see gear equips is really rare, not sure if I've ever seen one before but I for one really appreciate this feature
Here's to the incredible success of this game, which I'll certainly be a part of. Thank you Cohh for all you do!
so excited for this cant wait to get my hands on it
Wishlisted this a while ago, would def be interested in play testing eventually. This game is already in the same vein as some of my favorites of all time, and the ambitions make me even more excited.
This is my most anticipated game ❤ so can't wait to see how this awesome game progresses
So excited to see this vision come to life!!!! Congrats, CohhCarnage!!!
Wish you all the best mate! love the concept! Congrats
I love 'fix up the town' type games. Looking forward to this.
I'd love to be able to explore the parallel Vitromotuses after finishing the game. This is so DOPE Cohh. Can't wait to try this out myself!
cant wait to play this game cohh. let the team know this looks amazing so far and im looking forward to this game
will be following that project!!!
Saw the updated he posted today and had to look more into the game, and im glad i did this looks and sounds like its going to be a sick game cant wait for it to hit EA, also glad the team and cohh know to take there time to get it right.
Ah I am excited for this. This looks like it will be great!
Hey Cohh, it looks phenomenal. Can't wait to play this masterpiece!
Cohh always has really great takes on games, so this is realllly hype :D hope has returned that we might yet get a good game
thats a crazy idea and plan, i hope u guys are able to finish this project 🙏
I really like it when the character is separated from the world, like in Terraria or even Valheim.
Super excited for this. Whislisted day 1 and can't wait to play! good job team!
Wishlisted. Looking great and excited to see the combat jobs. Sounds/seems like dragons dogma style grabbing passivea from one class to boost another. The job/class swapping sounds amazing. Cant wait to see this drop for playable early acess.

It looks like you're having a great time with this, I wish you the best.
saw a little bit of the screen and immediately put it on my wishlist. I have a feeling this is gonna be a fun game.
when you hear cohh talk about all the best systems in other games, putting them together in one game and showing every triple A game company how games should've evolved this decade. Grats cohh and team., this looks like a game of the year already.
Cant wait! Love that they gave you a custom cohh hat and glasses for your character
At about 22:40 Cohh mentions an addition building section of the game.

Emberville will be the GOAT of QOL. Excited for this Mr. Cohh!
Looks and sounds awesome! I'm excited! Just wishlisted it on Steam. Can't wait to play! Love the Remnant-esk procedurally generated aspects. So cool!
Looks Amazing!!! Can't wait to play it
I love this type of pixelart, i just hear you talk about it on stream and I had to look it up. Wishlisted it, will be fun to explore.
currently delving into Core Keeper's 1.0 release so these type of games, like Terraria, Stardew Valley, Sun Haven etc all are fun games to play hundreds of hours in.

Game is shaping up to be great and hopefully will shape up to be a awsome indie game
This is a great inspiration for me as a wannabe game dev, thanks for sharing!
Man, I'd looove to work a little at that game (Unity dev here)
Also, wishlisted immediately
Hey ty. I actaly havent heard of embervil b4

I can't wait to play this game.
These rng events is soo cool

Man it sounds amazing, cant wait to see it released!
I see Cohh's love for everquest in this at a few points :) .
This looks amazing! Great work everyone!!
Listening to you talk about the game gave me Sean Murray flashbacks 😅. The game looks like it is coming along great and something right up my alley, just hope all those systems and things you talked about will for sure be in the game when it does launch. The class system sounds a lot like old school cRPG and JRPG games similar to Disgaea and Wizardry series, I like it! ❤
Wishing you all the best cohh!
And of course, I cannot wait to see Cohh's totally unbiased Thoughts video. Lol. Wishing you and the team much luck, Mr. Cohh!
I LOVE the states of AI! I always wished for a game with this system. Brings so much believeability to the enemies!
awesome to see cohh, i'm really liking how this is turning, waiting for a beta/alpha :D
Hope your character get a little shiny yes under his hood. ( choose eyes color and shape to be happy or evil or bored or ..or..)
i was watching Agua do some animations on twitch the other day.. interesting stuff.
cant wait to watch you play this game Cohh~!
Loving everything so far! Will there be a magic system??
Are there any plans to roll specific biomes to try and see all the stuff you missed similar to remnant adventure modes?
I'm very excited! I worry a bit that the game is trying to do too many things at once, especially for what sounds like a small studio, but I trust that a project Cohh is involved in will be excellent.
Thankfully they can do all that extra internal mechanics because their artstyle and resource use is minimalistic to an extent. If this had graphics and animations like Horizon or God of War then yeah they'd probably be punching quite a bit too high. I think they're doing exactly what they're aiming for because they definitely can.
The game I’ve always dreamed of
Not a huge fan of pixel games in general, but Emberville seems to have enough detail and resolution + the animations look extra smooth so I'll definitely pick it up. Looks and sounds very promising.
Been following Emberville since before you were announced as part of the team. Really looking forward to the release. Artisitically reminds of Moonlighter which i loved. I also really love the combat customization with skills and the like.
Cant wait.
Looks good Coh, love the PoE influence. Always wanted a deeper type of pixel game.
This actually looks so damn cool!
wow, looks insanly good! can't wait to play this game!!!💜
Emberville is looking great!
Wishlisted, so excited for this
this whole video has me sitting here saying, " you SOAB, I'm in"
YES PLEASE LET US REROLL THE VITROMITUS! I want to be able to see everything but i was bummed that i'd have to reroll a character each time. I would absolutely love to see everything on my main playthrough
Thank you so much for today Cohh! I cannot wait to play this game!
i can not wait until this is ready for early access! and even further more when it is finally ready for full release it kind of reminds me of run factory but with less farming and more dungeon crawling!
Sounds like the weapon/class system of FE 3H which is great!
Very early request but is steam deck compatibility already in consideration.
Will this have controller support?
The game looks great! already wishlist it.
I always compare the movement of this kinda game to Crosscode. I understand it might not fit Emberville direction but I hope the movement feels just as satisfying.
At first I wasn't impressed..then as he revealed all the systems...I got real excited.
not going to lie but im actually excited for this game to come out on consoles so i can wish list it there and support the game
I had a similar thought, “will this be on console?”
Then laughed a lot bc it’s Cohh and his love for PC gaming over console.
We shall see.
just a suggestion form a person who doesn't have much time to play games but likes to see all the content in a game. it would be much more delightful if those rare events were structured like you have to take this super rare item put it in a shrine then you receive an item that can be place or built in the vitromotus or make it a hidden checklist compare to a random gacha percentage but hey game development is hard so any choice is fine and Good luck to the team and cohh.
Is there an Alignment system in the game? Would be cool to have the Emberville Buildingstyle geflect the player choices, like in Kingmaker
not super jazzed about the super rare RNG events but the rest sounds awesome
I hope you have a good writer for the story
Please, please make it Steamdeck playable! its perfect for that.
Steamdeck is confirmed
When it comes to unlocking classes by leveling weapons and skills, can you keep some hidden so that experimenting with combos is encouraged.
Sometimes when I see a huge list of "to get this, grind all of these" it can be discouraging. However, when I'm just naturally playing the game and am suddenly rewarded with a deeper mechanic that will continue to reward me for trying new things, I will happily theory craft with friends to look for things.
It kinda reminds me of old Dragonball games and finding hidden characters when you use a certain character against another. They never tell you they exist, and suddenly you get this super special version of a character that never existed in the show.
looks neat.
