  • Song #1376 in 1376 days in a row. Straydog Bill Arnold (Co-Founder of Straydog Shelter in 1994) will continue to perform, record and publish one song a day until homeless dogs and cats are no longer killed in animal shelters because they are homeless. When the kill shelters fill up, they have to start euthanizing the poor animals who have been there the longest to make room for new rescues. PLEASE ADOPT from an animal shelter, and SPAY and NEUTER your pet!

If the our government would reimburse veterinary clinics to spay, neuter (or perform a vasectomy) on all dogs and spay and neuter all cats brought to their clinics for these procedures in the same way as the U.S. government reimburses pharmacies to administer Covid vaccines to all who ask for a vaccine, the over population problem in the dog and cat world would end, and we as a society would stop allowing an average of just under 2000 dogs and cats to be euthanized every day in the overcrowded shelters across our country. We taxpayers are currently spending over two billion dollars ($2,000,000,000) per year to maintain city and county animal kill shelters across our country.
STRAYDOG NO-KILL DOG SHELTER - In October 1994 after purchasing a 20-acre piece of land out in the country with a small cabin on it and initially building 4 kennels to house 8 of our then 11 rescues-3 stayed in the small cabin with me, Bill Arnold (aka Straydog Billy) and my wife, the late Pat Arnold (who passed on suddenly and unexpectedly due to a brain aneurysm in 2003). We moved (with our 11 rescued, formerly stray dogs) onto our newly acquired land in October 1994, and then in 1997 we officially co-founded Straydog Inc., a Texas non-profit corporation, receiving 501(c)(3) TAX EXEMPT STATUS from the IRS in 1998. Straydog No-Kill Dog Shelter (Straydog Inc.) is still going strong today, now led by my 2nd wife, Straydog Shelter Director Juana Vazquez Arnold, still rescuing, rehabilitating, spaying and neutering and adopting out formerly stray and other formerly homeless dogs (and once in a while cats), and any dog who doesn’t get adopted has a forever home at Straydog No-Kill Dog Shelter and Sanctuary (Straydog.org)
