I am from Curitiba/Paraná, but i must say cities like Fortaleza/Ceará and Florianópolis/santa Catarina are wonder cities. Dynamic economies, beautiful beaches, hot weather. A lot of people decide to migrate to both cities. Both foreigners but also a lot of Brazilians from elsewhere. God bless you all in YOUR ventures. Be well

Philly Dom, I am so loving your content. This interview is so interesting. I don’t know much about Brazilian culture outside of carnival, samba and soccer. Thank you 🥰
That IS our biggest problem. The Land is so rich and blessed that even the poor can make IT through. But inequality here ist greater than India inequality. This will Only BE solved when our government Reform the Tax system
I love these interviews, Philly Dom getting some real ‘on the ground 411’ on the real Brazil. It’s still very sad that race and class still strongly define much of the old school and colonial culture in Brazil. 😢
Education in Ceará has changed over the last 10 to 15 years. It was horrible in the beginning of this century. It came from being the top 3 worst in Brazil to be considered one of the best in some statistics. So illiteracy rate is kinda high in Ceará (around 13%), but it's falling year after year. And one fun fact about it, is that Fortaleza has one of the worst educational rates in Ceará. It's interesting because we would think that the richest city would have the best public schools and so on, but in Ceará happens the opposite. It's also changing in Fortaleza, but the inner cities are doing better.
That’s what I’m pondering, it seems attractive to live over there, but it appears Brazil still have a STRONG preference towards White Brazilians or Portuguese for careers, education housing etc, despite recent demographics showing that more than 50% of the population now identify as non-White 🤔
you need a live with your contacts and it could be a question and answers sessions. some people survive or thrive from superchats. i think a growing niche will be telling people where to stay and be safe. the are white travel guides. why is the tension between white people and black in Sosua? the casino is the only place which has mixed crowds. i have seen more racial tension on videos
Philly Dom your only going to be happy living in Brazil in Rio de Janeiro or Bahia. But if need anything important done it’s Rio de Janeiro why cause more people speak English. As much as I love Brazil, the inequity and inequality is so alarming. It's so hard to reconcile. But beautiful country.
The Portuguese have an attitude and with the mixing going on it is not valid. Kind of like 1960s USA.

So right on regarding affirmative action in Brazil...this was done during Lula's first term! That's one of the reasons that the elite hate Lula!

Can someone please tell me what part she takes about the cost of living?
the way she is talking makes the USA not so bad then

Is Sosua in the DR? Where are the videos?
The education bias rich vs poor sounds exactly the same as theUS.
