Any idea if you could use a callout for time remaining or rssi/vfr values using a momentary or button on a X20 series?

Of course! For example RSSI: Add a new special function. ACTION - Play audio. STATE - enable. ACTIVE CONDITION - *press and hold the button you want to use. Under SEQUENCE - Add a new line in sequence. TYPE - play value. SOURCE - telemetry and then RSSI or whatever value you want to play.
*Remember, if choosing a momentary switch, keep holding the switch down until after you exit that menu choice. Otherwise it will register the switch up ( not down) position.
