Definitely. The stock landing gear is the worst part of this plane. Some people say its not needed. But come on. Wire struts just look ridiculous even on the 1.1M T-28. 🤣

Sure... It's a 90 already but you could fit a more high performance unit in it.

I honestly don't see any bad tendencies with this plane. It's an excellent flyer. If you are talking about my accelerated stall moment in the video. That's any plane with very high elevator rates. This plane allows higher elevator rates so you can do those types of maneuvers. But accelerated stalls can happen with any plane with enough elevator. If you are worried about accelerated stalls, (high speed maneuvers with lots of elevator input), go less aggressive on your elevator rates.

Basic, nothing fancy. 70mm edf, 4s battery and no gyro. I've since added a thrust vector nozzle. Added a lot of weight in the tail. Doesn't fly as stable as in that video anymore. But it sure is wilder now. Inverted flat spins like a spinning top. Loops in it's length and barely controllable hovers. I'm honestly not sure if I like it better with it without thrust vector. I've rebuilt and destroyed that plane several times to the point where it really isn't repairable. Luckily flight test came out with a V2... Next plane on my build list. Still not sure if I'll build with it without thrust vectoring

Yep... That video is on an earlier version of software. Shouldn't affect anything. It has the same info just presented a different way. My radio now (on latest firmware) is like yours. It still shows STATE and ACTIVE CONDITION but it's smaller and to the right. I assume that realized that on some complicated setups, they couldn't fit everything in normal sized text

I can do that. I set mine up on an XE so the switches will not line up. You'll need to reset all the switches so it works on your radio. Make sure your radio is updated to latest firmware. Email me at all.rc.air@gmail.com

You do not need a module when using Frsky sr8. If says "ACCESS" or "ACCST" it will work without a module. ACCST may require a firmware update but it will work without a module.

Have seen videos with thrust reverse, just no idea how they did it.

@winfredhaan1 I did not check but most of their newer planes have it. You need to activate it through ESC programming usually

I have searched and asked many TH-camrs but yet to find an answer that worked. I just gone into forward programing using your Spektrum TX. On all planes I disabled SAFE. On some models I only enabled AS3X. Other models I set AS3X OFF so No GYRO. One would think there is a way since it resides on Channel 5. I do not believe it is something the FrSky TX can do. It needs to be done within the iRX4 module.

Forward programming is not yet available on the multi protocol module. This is not a native Frsky function. It is something that needs to be written for the multi protocol module. I believe they got it working with EdgeTx and I believe someone is working on it for Ethos. But it isn't yet available. You can do things that don't require forward programming like setting up your receiver for safe select. But forward programming tasks like turning off safe and as3x only that is done through forward programming. Not yet. This is the community working on this so give them a bit of time.

If you are looking for how to turn on safe select, so you can choose safe mode or as3x mode via switch, it is the same process as in the bnf plane's manual. I did a video on it talking about binding to spektrum bnf planes with frsky. If you are talking about reassigning switch modes and adjusting gains on as3x that is done with forward programming. Forward programming isn't yet available for the multi protocol module. I believe people are working on it but it isn't yet implemented.

Sorry for the late reply. I missed this notification. Yes they do. That receiver has a dedicated s.port / fbus port in the middle of the body. The label explains the pin out of that connector

Hello. I personally don't have any of those receivers but I did check and I can access the FX protocol. After I click it it comes up with more options like pwm+ibus, ppm+sbus etc. so mine seems to work. The firmware for the multi module is an open source project. Go to www.multi-module.org to get more info on it. Two things.... Looking on the website, it does have a list of supported protocols.It does not look like it has that particular protocol. Check out out, you probably have more info than I do. Another note is you do have to periodically update the firmware on the module (I did once). That process is too download the firmware from that site, put the file into your radio. Then SYS - File manager.... Navigate to the firmware file and long press.... I believe the option you want is Flash external module or something like that. But look on the site and see if it works with your protocol.

Hello, I replied to the best of my abilities 5 days ago. Mine does not jump and I can select. You can try updating the Irx4 module but I don't think 9630 is supported by looking at their list. Read my previous reply about checking the multi module website for their protocol list

The firmware keeps updating. After 1.5 which was a huge change, they received lots of feedback so the timers have been evolving. Use throttle active. Should work the same way. For the 10s countdown, add a new audio audio action, Type Countdown, Start 00:00:10, Step 1s. For percentage type counter, Under Proportional Timing Source, choose throttle.

That could be a couple of things. Is thrust still reversed if the thrust reverse trigger wire is disconnected to the receiver? If it goes the correct direction when the wire is disconnected, reconnect and reverse the output channel in the output menu. If that doesn't work, play with the end points like mentioned in the video until thrust reverse works like it should. If it still goes the wrong direction after pulling the connector, the motor may be wired incorrectly. The motor to the ESC has three wires. Try swapping any two of the three wires going to the motor and see if that does it.

@@all_rc thanks a lot. I took the second option, reduced the pwm to 1000 rather than default of 1500 and it started blowing air. Still new to the FRsky after spektrum. Love the quality and screen but I wish it is a bit simpler or named in indicative way or like spectrum. Thank you for your help. Still not able to assign channels to switches,, not sure why everything is done in the mixers! I have a gyro I want to assign to 3 positions switch , I think this should be done in outputs ! Also, in a 3 position, the speech read only the middle position because the third position is reached before finishing the reading of second switch. I wonder if there is a way to make the radio read the speeches in sequence, because while flying I may move from low rates to high rates, but it will read only the mid rates. !! Also would like to set a percentage timer as a percent of throttle use. Not able. And the list goes on. Thanks for sharing your videos and experiences

It's always like this when trying anything different than what you are used to. I swear to you, once you understand ethos, it will make sense. I know Spektrum, EdgeTx, OpenTx and Futaba. And I can easily program a plane markedly quicker on Ethos than anything else. And the power, once you understand how to use it is unbelievable... To assign channels to switches: Create a new Free Mix Source: highlight this and press then flip the switch you want Output: the channel you want That's it Not exactly sure what you mean about only the middle position being read on a 3 pos switch. If I toggle to middle, then bottom, it does read both.... When I go from top position to bottom position quickly, it reads the voice for middle then bottom. That issue you can fix by going to SYSTEM, HARDWARE, Switch middle detect delay and changing it from 0ms to 1or 2ms. I wonder if you aren't setting up the voices correctly if it only reads middle... To set throttle timer to percentage mode. Change Proportional Timing Source to Throttle. Ethos is still relativley new so they are adding stuff all the time but what they have now has a ton of features and power

It's good to know that you fly there because I have recently started watching your videos and have learned a lot from them. Hopefully, I will see you sometime when I go there!

This should work on the x20s but I haven't checked if it builds the same on the new version of firmware. They did change the way trim works but it should be buildable on the new firmware. It just may not be the same. At some point, I'll revisit this on new firmware. However, to your point. Yes, a lua script version of this exists. Did not know that when I built this but it's around. Check the forums. I don't have it but it's been done.

@@all_rc I have been unable to find it. This is a real if not surprising deficiency in Ethos IMO.

I have never used that protocol so I wasn't sure. So I went to www.multi-module.org which is the website for the 4in1 module project. It doesn't look like it's on the list but maybe you should double check.. it may be called something else that you might know about.
