I really liked the fact that Zaigham Khan sahib shed light on how Woman's body has been used as weapon in wars. Although not directly involved in conflict, women suffer the most majority of the time. We have a history of alienating women, and mention of their sufferings in platforms like these is encouraging. Kudos 👏

Lets keep a clear distinction between Islam and colonialism. To be a Muslim you do not have to be a Turk, a Persian or an Arab.
Persians and Turks keep their ethnic names from their cultures. Being Muslim doesn't mean you forget your soil, DNA or culture.
    Never surrender your indigenous identity,
Never forget the history of your ancestors, Never quit your language.
    Native Pride. Son of Soil.

without a proper ideology, it is not possible to derive the right conclusion. When you are confused, the most important thing is to know the truth then locate where it is? otherwise you are stuck in the fancy terms. Before criticizing the religion, would advice the author to obtain from proper source.

The conversation was good but I really didn't like how Akhtar sab dodged the question from the Baloch lawyer and tried to divert the question in the direction of Taliban whereas it was clearly the state of Pakistan which was meant to be and is the coloniser in case of Balochistan and Pakhtunkhwa as well.
That behaviour really leaves bad taste after an otherwise mature discussion

"Colonialism" has in fact been beneficial to the Indian subcontinent. India has been a great beneficiary. Compare to Muslim elites aka the degenerates, Hindu elites welcomed the New Learning. They also knew that the old Hindu world has been dead for centuries. But they knew that the process of change would take place incrementally. The primacy of rule of law, the sanctity of Parliament and the free press have been the backbone of Indian democracy. Result? Millions rose from the subsistence poverty level. The poor, for the very first time, joined the middle class. Unlike India, Pakistan sank. Clueless about the importance of establishing civic and political institutions. The idea of rule of law and the idea of "Careers open to talent" remained abstract. Any body with an ounce of functioning mind see the obvious: Jinnah's Pakistan died decades ago. What exist now is a bankrupt Jihadi state. In such a state, the middle class hit the rock bottom. Yes, poverty rose. In this specter of poverty, there will be people who would find time to amuse themselves with trivial books.

All the societies around the world are made up of individuals having varied schools of thought and background. Therefore the whole society cannot be composted of scholars .Each society is a bunch of individuals having different opinions and mindset. It is not possible to bring the whole society to a single school of thought. As regards the old colonisation process of the previlaged class and the present day colonisation it is based on the same principles of dominance and hegemony. As regards the philosophy of Islam is concerned the learned scholars failed to highlight the glorious period of the Muslim rulers who not only promoted science, technology and culture to its peak.In present times most of the Muslim world is under heavy influence of the West and considers it absolutely necessary to follow the Western traits in order to achieve progress. This is a quiet debateable issue
