As we were taking the kids to school and as a boat driver I had a wonderful cathartic moment watching your show. Taking care of your crew who ever it is I paramount.
Awesome video. Love the raw truth and yet an optimistic smile even while not feeling well. I love seeing “all” perspectives of sailing. - Warren’s quote reminds me of a similar one… “The difference between an adventure or an ordeal is attitude” (unknown). Thanks guys!
I LOVED this episode!!! It was so real and you two are so great. Your honesty and personal chemistry is amazing, and just in case Warren, that you think you caught Erica on the deck, she allowed herself to be caught...you lucky man. Erica, you truly are beautiful. I understand that not every passage can be perfect, and in fact long ones are boring and diificult, but they beat the hell out of doing nothing. Please, please keep up the good work.
Well done Guys, it is never easy having to beat most of the way on a long passage, but you made it and your Yacht made it intact! Greetings from Durban in sunny South Africa! 👍👍👍
OMG 😱 WOW ‼️ Totally appreciate your huge honesty and and just how passages are for you two. Good to learn/know as my bride and I prepare to launch ourselves this year.....God willing. Gotta say, Erica, your smile certainly ghosted what was your reality. Sooooooo happy you are no longer distraught. You guys are an inspiration to other couples. 😊 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
I have followed both of you since day one, I have never felt like anything was repetitive. I’ve always been impressed and in love with your life and all that you show us. Don’t ever discount what you give to all of us watching, although my boat is not quite finished yet it is my pride that is taking me so long to do what you have been doing for years. I wish I had found you 15 years ago, at 56 now will be cruising the world by myself on a catamaran that most people would not be cut dead on because of the woke world⚓️🌴
Love the tacking visuals! Feel you tacking pain. Reading John convinced me to "cross over" to trawler life. But as always missed the peace of sailing. Keep safe guys Do proud of you both!!!
I actually appreciate seeing something more than “we can only go with the wind” I like that about sailing also… you have to think about how to get to point B YOU CANT GET THERE FROM HERE!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
The headline here is “men are from Mars, women are from Venus”. In our 58 years of marriage I have come to understand that I accept the conditions and rise to the challenge. My lovely wife, however, often wants to change something so it suits her better. I hardly ever feel sorry for myself whereas she seems to need an occasional pity party. And yes dear, I’ll try to do better.
This is the one time I would want to own a beautiful mono like the Delos Amel, so good at upwind. Other than that, your boat would be the one to be on.
In many countries, the butchers switch on ultraviolet light during the night for hygiene. The light kills microorganisms. If it were my fuel tank, I would try if ultraviolet light works on the Diesel bug too. I have heard on many YT sailing channels about trouble with the Diesel bug, but never that somebody tried the obvious ultraviolet light. Good luck!
Outstanding video. Captain Warren did a great job keeping her on track. Hum Captain Warren, sounds like the name of a good Whiskey. Speaking of whiskey, if you ever cross paths with Sailing One Life ask’em for a sip of my Drift Creek Moonshine, to get the party started. That’s some good Ohio corn whiskey. Love your channel and never miss an episode. Cheers 👍
I know how you feel. From Hunhine to Oahu, wind on the nose the whole friggn way plus squall line after squall line. Only 2 good days, wind 20 ,flater seas and clear blue sky. Did see a moon bow 1 night, that was cool.
Hi guys well done. Not sure the time frame but there is a brand new 25kg delta anchor about 50 meters of the bottom of the bay. Came with boat and we kept as spare . Water was really shitty , couldn't see a thing . If it's clear you may find a cheap spare. Cheers Jeff.
I really admire your determination to sail all the way-- great seamanship and great to not use extra fuel... however, you really do need a cat with daggerboards. We tack at least 10 degrees higher with our daggerboards on our 35' cat compared to those with minikeels. We also can sit on 8-9 knots upwind... the price is of course we don't have the space you guys do.. which, I am a wee bit envious of.... Phil
Love your channel. Do you ever have any worries about the glass escape hatches between the hulls? Looks like that would be a serious vulnerable spot and a great big hole for lots of water to come if one should fail. Maybe I just don't understand how bullet proof they are. Never owned a cat or sailed on one.
The truth is good days and bad days and really tired days, sorry forgetting the nights. Enjoy a cold one or five when back ashore you will walk up right and no wobbling. HAHAHA Been there staggered to the pub had a skin full every one who left with me fell over.
Ahh that’s so sweet, fighting is normal in a relationship. And hey that’s the worst case scenario! Alone on the boat, 1200 miles, with a beautiful woman and she got her period 😂😂😂!! Warren that’s worse ! And Erica is crying for sleep 😂. A great blo..ob can blow all sorrows away! I’m sure ! Have a break and then come back with 800% new energy ! ❤
After all your sailing experience why do you still have problems securing your ships properties? Although I loved this groovy episode, you sort of made it sound like sailing a catamaran in sketchy weather sucks. Get some duck tape to keep those doors closed. LOL!
Having made this arduous passage before, are there any things that after the last trip that you said you'd never do this passage again without that you in fact did do without or things that you said that you wouldn't do the same way ever again and then did the same this trip?
Haha you rock, thank you! So we are using GoPro Hero 10 & 11 for about half of the footage, and the other half is our big expensive camera; a Sony a7 Mark iv... We also have a DJI Mavic 3, and no matter what camera it comes from we use Premire Pro to edit, stabilize (if necessary) and color grade (if necessary) hope that helps!!
At 11:04 the throttle levers don't seem to be in the correct position for being under sail with the engines off. I thought they were supposed to be in the reverse position on the F-P 44. Did you get different propellers so that that no longer applies? OK, never mind. farther ahead you mention that you're motor sailing.
An American has to pay taxes to the IRS USA. The USA is one of the very few countries that tax their citizens wherever they are. You could be on the Antarctic for years, the IRS does not let you out of its claws if you have an income, it is just a horrible torture.
Ya, pero todos estos inconvenientes son inerentes a navegar a vela. O lo asumes o te dedicas a otra cosa, y hablo desde mi experiencia, y ojo que ahora todo son comodidades, ni os explico como se navegaba hace 50 años!
Far too much talking head comentary 🥱 Unless the talking head is crying! Never forget the sailing tuber credo; T&A+TEARS=$, again repeat T&A + tears=$ 😆

Thank you 4 ur honesty mentally, emotionally and physically. Great insights.
Thanks so so much!!
I love no music and listening to the wind and waves. Not repetitive just lovely!
Cool showing us the reality. You two are wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Great episode! Love the humor and the reality of sailing that you portray. Keep up the great work!
Hang tough and have fun WE. Thanks for showing the real life.
We love this episode. You're so authentic and thanks for telling us your personal feelings with all ups and downs. Greetings from Thailand

The super imposed sailing images were next level, bravo still the best channel and I watch them all,,kudos👍👍
Keeping it real! You guys are a bunch of fun to watch.
You guys are great.
Great video, thank you for sharing

You guys seem like you would be great to hang out with. I know it was a hard passage. I am glad you got through it ok.
Really great video of the boat icon with background clips. So fun!

Having to do all those extra miles sucks. You guys are troopers! It's too bad FPs can't point... neither can Lagoons.
I actually appreciate seeing something more than “we can only go with the wind”
I like that about sailing also… you have to think about how to get to point B
YOU CANT GET THERE FROM HERE!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Expectations are everything. Don’t set expectations if there is a risk they can’t be delivered because 99 times out of 100 they won’t be.

They make catamarans that do sail well upwind, but this cat is made more for comfort and space rather than performance sailing.
Suck it up buttercup, you are living the dream. Thanks for another fine video. Stay safe.

Erica, have you considered nice headphones? Maybe with some chill music especially when you sleep. I love Insight Timer. Great meditation type tunes 😊
lol Loved seeing the playful moment at 7:25. Try chasing her with a feather-duster next time…and you’re welcome! 😂

good job
I need some of your energy. real life is the journey.

Having a free spirited babe sailing with you is the life that most men cannot attain.
Having made this arduous passage before, are there any things that after the last trip that you said you'd never do this passage again without that you in fact did do without or things that you said that you wouldn't do the same way ever again and then did the same this trip?
Why you guys are at 45k subscribers god only knows. The quality of your Vids deserves better, should be well into triple figures in subscribers
Why didn't you use the rear plate of the boom, rather than the side plate, to make sure the shackle was furthest from the reefing lines??
2:50 you don’t have to keep it fresh ! You just have to be here und stream videos ! That’s all I want
Know what you ate doing sailing to windward is fun. But this is why ill never buy/charter a cat with keels
♥️♥️🥰🥰
👍🎣⛵💯
Warren, use those darn engines. No need to torture your crew.
I want my filming to look as good as yours'. What cameras are you using? GoPro? a Mavic drone? Whatever you are using I want to get.
Haha you rock, thank you! So we are using GoPro Hero 10 & 11 for about half of the footage, and the other half is our big expensive camera; a Sony a7 Mark iv... @@WEsail -- big help. Many thanks.

😀👍👍👍❤
Sleeping pills 😊
We plan to sail to Symi island in sommer
It’s not called a sugar scoop because it’s used in cooking?

erica may be a borderline 'nymphomane' i'm ok with it
Why I must have a boat that goes to weather well .
Are you in OF? X
Weeding out the clickbait is harder
Uhhhh, why not just motor the last 36 miles?
Out of interest in which country do you pay taxes on your income, your homeland, or where the boat is registered, or elsewhere?
An American has to pay taxes to the IRS USA. The USA is one of the very few countries that tax their citizens wherever they are. You could be on the Antarctic for years, the IRS does not let you out of its claws if you have an income, it is just a horrible torture.

I 'm really put off by the constant "OMG" comments!!!
Man the tacking angles on your boat are not great, need some deeper keels, or dagger boards 😂😂
Hebrews 4: 12 - 13
Hey, he did not deserve that.
Honest
The journey is not complete
Would it be (imaginable) comfortable for the woman when it's swaying?

What can’t you just pee off the aft of the boat?
