From Rason City in North Korea, I headed for the Tuman River at the northeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula.
It is about 50 kilometers from Rason City to the Tumen River, which takes about an hour by car.
After sightseeing at the observatory where you can see the borders of the three countries of North Korea, China, and Russia, we headed to Tuman River Station, where the international train bound for Russia departs.
The international train bound for Khabarovsk Station in Russia departs Tuman River Station at 15:00. We crossed the ``Korea-Russia Friendship Bridge'', the only land border between North Korea and Russia, and arrived at Khasan on the Russian coast on the opposite bank.
Hasan is a small town with a population of about 700 people. It was so quiet that I couldn't believe it was a border town.
The scenery, language, religion, race, etc. of the town were completely Russian, and everything changed just by crossing the bridge over the Tuman River.
From the East to the West, from Asia to Europe. I was able to cross the border of the morning dew, and it became a very good memory.

trip summary
In August 2019, I visited three countries, China, North Korea, and Russia, on a one-week itinerary.
The travel route is Dalian (China) → Hunchun (China) → Rason (North Korea) → Ussuriysk (Russia) → Vladivostok (Russia).
All travel from Dalian to Vladivostok is by land.
We used trains, buses, taxis and vans.

私は中国から三国国境地帯を見学しました。
豆満江を渡ったロシア側には、帝政ロシア時代には朝鮮人が多く住んでいました。李朝朝鮮時代に飢饉から渡河してきた人たちの子孫でした。
ところがスターリンがこの朝鮮人たちを主にカザフスタンに強制移住させてしまいました。
今、カザフスタンには彼らの子孫、みずからを高麗人と呼んでいますが、地元のカザフ人と仲良く暮らしています。
今回は素晴らしい映像ありがとうございます。

北朝鮮とロシアの軌道幅を4線軌道の工事で直通運転が可能になったのはいいと思います。
私が知る限りでは中国とロシア国境は満州里あたりでまだ台車交換がされているかも知れません。

中国の台車交換の話、聞いたことがあります。中国とモンゴルの国境では客を乗せたまま台車交換をする大胆な方法が取られているそうです。

はい、昔あるテレビ番組で中国・旧ソビエト国境を国際列車で行く時に確か満州里で客車をジャッキ？で持ち上げて旧ソビエトの軌道にあった台車に交換して国境越えをしていたのを覚えています。
現在はどうなっているかはわかりませんが。
