  • MEEDEN kindly sent me more supplies to try out. This time, I have their gouache, 100% cotton hot press watercolor paper block, and palettes (ceramic and metal) for review. This video is not sponsored and all my opinions are based on my genuine first impressions from working with these products for the first time. However, I did receive them for free. Please lmk if you have any questions!
Video contents: unboxing, then palette setup, then swatching, then color mixing, then project share.

Thank you! I’m a little embarrassed at how excited I got about that galaxy tin 🤭😂

Wow!. I really like the porcelain palette a ton. Awsome that the gouache arrive in tubes and not cups. Thanks for a great review.

I definitely prefer the tubes too! I have the jelly gouache and it’s a dried out mess. Not getting those again. And I love the palette too, I love all their porcelain palettes actually. Thank you for watching! ❤️

Thank you for the swatches and review, very helpful. I'm definitely getting the gouache set and the paper for that price is a bargain considering that other sets like stress are almost double the price. Also the tubes make it easier to manage instead of the gouache palettes like himi that dry fast .

I’m glad that was helpful! And yeah, I paid about twice that for Arches and even though I haven’t compared them, other reviewers on TH-cam said the quality is very similar. And I paid more than 4 times that for my Holbein gouache set of 24… and I got it for a good deal. So this is a great set to play around with. And I also have the himi palette and it dried out and I don’t have the energy to try to get it reconstituted so I’m only doing the tubes from now on.

I’m glad it was useful! The gouache seems like a really good deal. And Lindsey the frugal crafter mentioned on her channel that cheaper gouache seems to work well, whereas cheap watercolor isn’t always very good, and that definitely seems to be the case here.

No offence, but people who got free products to review, claiming their opinion is their own and that they are allowed to say whatever they want, is just a lie. Especially with chinese companies. They always send you a list of things you must say about the product in order to review and keep it. If you don't do that, they will probs stop sending you free stuff. Thats how it works in every industry. Be it art, gaming, tech, etc. So I highly doubt you or any other reviewer out there, are giving us your honest opinions about the products you receive. Especially smaller channels who profit the most from free stuff, since they often can't afford buying all the supplies they are reviewing.

No offense, but you got all your “facts” wrong. They absolutely did not give me a list of things to say. They simply asked if I wanted to pick some things out and if I’d be willing to do a video or an IG post in return. That’s was it. And they don’t send me tons of free stuff. They sent me probably less than $50 worth of free stuff twice. That doesn’t do much for me. I only did this because it seemed fun to get some things that I was curious to try and I make videos anyway. They only sent me a few items with no plans to “keep” sending me stuff. I don’t need or want them to do that. I had zero incentive to say positive things about them because I wasn’t getting anything in return for doing so. I’m not a small channel that “reviews” stuff. I’m not at all a review channel. I make videos for fun. Be it sharing my art or sometimes sharing art supplies I either buy or get. So I don’t need them or any art company to send me anything. I can easily afford to buy whatever art supplies I want actually so I have no need to lie in order to get a few bucks worth of free stuff. Also you saw all my reactions as I was opening the package and swatching. So how could I be lying? My video on their acrylics wasn’t quite as favorable. And I asked for acrylics and gauche because I was sure I’d somewhat like them so I could do a video where I was happy with what I got. I didn’t ask for their watercolors. So no offense but you don’t really know what you’re talking about.
