GREAT information! I so wish I had known this was all here when I was stomping around up there. Can't wait to go back! That Spearfish area is so SO beautiful!!

We really wish we had a chance to stay, but it was just too hot and we were having truck issues that needed us to be closer to Rapid City. We will be going back.- Kyle

Thanks Mary and Fred, it's a great spot, we have a new video coming out Wednesday for Grouse Mountain here in Buffalo Wyoming. Highly recommend that one too.

When I was in SD I visited Wall, because you have to! After the area around the rim I went south towards Nebraska and stopped at the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands. I left the paved road and saw a camper. 12 miles later I stopped. One truck passed me in the next week and a saw some rock hounds looking for agate while on a walk. Quiet and peaceful after that.

Greg, we had a chance to visit Wall on our last trip back in 2005 and like you said, you can't pass up that stop. Sounds like you had an amazing spot in the Grasslands. We have that area on our map for a future visit. - Kyle and Michelle

Beware of big hailstorms there at times

Thanks Shelly, I'm acutally not surprised as we got hail a couple times when we were in Sturgis and some other times I know the real bad storms went north of us up in that direction. - Kyle
