I don't really like archers in this game. And so my favorite is Yvain for his coin skill. He sits in the training ground to level up so this skill scales, giving me more gold after missions. That's why he's my #1.
Yup that's a good reason. I really like Lady Dindraine but honestly I don't use any other archer.
On very hard difficulty I actually prefer Sir Bors as my main archer. He has Unyielding (regenerating HP with each hit) and can wear medium armour, which makes him much more tanky than the others. I lost Yvain in an ambush that didn't even gave me a chance to react, that hopefully won't happen to Bors...
His Lazy trait irritates the crap out of me. I expect my main team to always be available so benching him every three missions is a no go on my squad.
@@SlanderedGaming there are multiple books to eliminate negative traits. for your main characters you should have enough.
The best marksmen are the ones you dismiss for actually useful classes xD

When you had that PRE-PATCH notice come on screen do you mean what you were talking about or the crazy multi-kills she was dealing in the video.
The crazy multi kills. Before the patch there was a potion you could drink that gives AP every time you kill an enemy and you could use that to clear rooms. Now it only triggers once per turn so you can't wipe out groups the same way.
would definetly recomend Sir Damas (as much as i can possibly recomend a Marksman)
Crippling Shot is a great ability, it's high damage and slow makes it one of the best options available for a marksman.
sadly he is a morality reward and his traits aren't great
Yup Sir Damas is another interesting choice.
Sadly, marksman are all bad currently, at least on higher difficulties. They have their play in act 1 and early act 2, but do seem very underperforming after that, more and more so as level goes higher. They are not excelling in anything and do have hard time surviving, coz enemies on higher difficulties do prefer going for soft targets. On very hard I ended up removing them completely from my roster in the early act 3. As for the video, I would also pick those three, but in different order. And I can't believe you have not mentioned Sir Geraint's Ice Shield, it is one of the reasons he is one of the best marksman currently in the game.
Since I couldn't show any footage I kind of quickly glossed over his abilities. You are right Ice Shield is awesome and definitely worth mentioning.
I've been using lady she's powerful as hell right now. I must be really early in the game? Idk, cause I position her well, she is almost never touched and she's my anti bow user , she easily kills multiple enemies every encounter. I'm on normal difficulty also. She is always in my group if I can help it. I usually field a defender a champ a marksman and a vanguard. But I'm on my first playthrough on normal difficulty and not sure how far into the game I am. I'm at lvl 9. I can see tho that on harder difficulties I might not want to field ANY squishies, cause looks like if they do get caught they might not survive for long at all.
Marksman are MUCH more effective on Normal difficulty. It's when you get to those harder difficulties that they are way less effective.
I see many ppl dont like marksmen, but i believe that is just if you dont build for them.
You can really wipe out whole encounters with well built marksmen, but i can see why Champions and vanguards are preferred.
Marksmen tho are really bad vs beefy bois and that is their hugest downside imo. What i personally like tho alot on them is the massive dmg reduction with poison (and the talent to spread it in aoe) and the aoe burn effect.
My personal favourite marksman is Sir Geraint as he has a 4 target shock effect which enables my master of Lightning Morgause to obliterate enemies.
Lady Dindraine is so very flexible, i think she is by far the strongest for a christian playthrough, which i would never do XD
The reason i personally dont like Marksmen is the fact that they die in 1-2 rounds in every tougher encounter if you cant CC every single enemy.
Yeah my first playthrough was as a Righteous Christian so I think that is part of why I favor her so much.
Arcanists just do everything better than archers, which is a shame. They typically deal more damage, have more utility (blood hex has much better damage reduction than poison) and are more survivable thanks to magical armor.
Hi! Could you please tell (can't find anywhere) - in Pathfinder WoTHR is it absolutely neccesary to complete "Pharasma's wrath" quest on a lich path to gain last epic level? I want to be a "good" lich and don't want to curse lands of Sarkoris with undeath. Will completing this quest affect endgame in some way?
If I recall correctly the quest is specifically for Pharasma worshipping Liches. I played as an Urgathoa worshipping Lich and never received that quest.
You completely forgot Sir Bors. He is a monster.
Marskman are the worst class in the game and that is objective.
