I was fortunate to meet and hang out with Zachary on a few occasions, when he played in Lexington Ky and Louisville KY, my ex husband's local Cajun band would open for him. He and his wife Chloé were so kind and entertaining!
I could kick myself for not paying better attention in French 1, taught by a true French Acadian, Mr. Guidry, Golden Meadow HS, 1964,..... God, I love this music,.... I'm learning to play guitar (again), the right way, this time,.... & have found such incredible artists like Zach Richard to show me the way. Gives you something to live for everyday new day.
1st of I’d love to know what those 14 dislikes were for? Zachary Richard is a fantastic Cajun French musician, not the run of the mill Cajun Music you hear now days. His music/Lyrics have always had Substance! Not the “Beer drinking “ music I hear on the radio. Zachary has always been one of my favorite French musicians, along with Iry Lejeune and Amade’ Ardoin. I’ve owned every Zachary Richard LP , I sure miss the days of LP’s, yeah CD & Others are very clear I enjoyed the LP sound. Nicely done Zack Attack!!
Time to get speakers for my lap top !!! I already have Zachary's music on my iPod. Thank you Candy!! A B/day gift from my li'l sis, 65 and never too old to for new and better music !!!!
This is an example of the range of one of the most powerful voices in the SOUTH, Great album, I lived in Pierre Part, La and was never the same after hearing Zach, this music is unique to the richest culture in the US, VIVA CAJUN !!!!!

This whole album is great. "Snake Bite Love" ... I saw him at NOLA JazzFest several years ago. Such a great mix of rock and cajun sounds.
